The unexpected arrival of an ill-omened war sword serves as the perfect catalyst for the wild fire of revenge and dark magic poised to engulf four embattled brothers and their father’s illustrious crown.

Set in the feudal kingdom of Valgary, the novel “Divine” explores the first grim chronicles of an undefeated Pangean bloodline of Kings and Warlords shaken to its very core when the powerful King Vagrath’s youngest son, Royal, is unintentionally thrust into the role of his father’s successor over his vengeful older brothers, Genesis, and the vain cold-hearted twins, Grieves & Mourn.

I received this book free from a member giveaway for an honest review.. This book is fantasy on steroids. The author takes classic fantasy sword fights, blood linage, magic, tech.. yes tech and gadgets, to a whole new hyper action adventure. I didn't know what to expect when I first started reading wasn't sure where I was going to be lead as a reader but I wanted to keep going to find out. The characters are well written you really get a feel for each one I am certain you will have your favorites. The fights are awesome ,bloody , gruesome if you are not the type for blood and butt kicking this book will be too much for you. Try visualizing a videogame , graphic novel sci fi show that is this book. If you enjoy classic fantasy and want something a little different mixed in with it, I highly recommend this book you will not be disappointed. Did I say sword fights? Awesome book!

Wow! In a world of Swords, Warlords & Sorcery, "Divine" truly is divine! The book is an epic new addition to the genre.

Storytelling is superb, descriptions of the landscape are so real they took me there, and the characters, well..., they are as true and innovative as characters you'll find in any classic fantasy tale. L.C. Davis’ imagery is graphically poetic.

Some books, when you're through, you know you will read them only once. This one, I know I will read over and over again. I can't remember the last time I read a fantasy novel that grabbed me as this one did. A great beginning to a series, leaving me longing for more.

So, when I started the book I was really confused on what era it was. I didn't know if it was the past or somewhere in the future. That came to light later. After it was revealed what was really going on, I didn't know how to feel about it. This is a genre I don't usually read, so it definitely took some warming up to do.

I like that the main character was once weak and became strong. I never enjoy when family rivals against eachother, no matter what genre it is. But, I felt like his character could have been so much more. The scene at the very beginning of the book where he is awoken with a bloody kiss, I felt like blood could have played a little role in this story but anyhoo.
