William Marshall (or William Leonard Marshall) (born 1944, Australia) is an Australian author, best known for his Hong Kong-based "Yellowthread Street" mystery novels, some of which were used as the basis for a British TV series.
This is by far the most surreal and over-the-top of an already surreal and over-the-top series. Someone is vandalizing traffic control systems in Hong Bay, and the traffic just keeps flowing faster and faster. Where will it all end?
Not exactly a typical Yellowthread Street mystery, but perhaps my favorite. And who could fail to love the Ear Wax Man, however briefly?
This is a book from the Mystery box I picked up at a library over a year ago. I had to rearrange my bookcase and found it. It is both funny and heartbreaking. There’s quite a bit of repetition throughout, which is the only reason it’s not a four star read for me.
The tenth book in the Yellowthread Street series. Marshall deftly mixes humor and tense, often tragic situations to tell the stories of the dedicated police detectives trying to solve crimes in Hong Kong.
