This was a very fun read of Dusty and Blaise when they first met it was cute and funny. They are as opposite as night and day but their personalities blend very well together. Being raised on a farm myself and having a pet lamb I can understand how she would be so upset at losing one of her ewes to a man who is in need of driving lessons. Lol

I just love a women who has no trouble standing up for herself Dusty does have one sassy mouth that goes very well with sexy attitude and hot tempter. They might meet head on with tempter raised but the full of attraction is strong. Neither can forget the other as they go over every time they have been together. Opposite do attract and have some of the best relationships but can a city man and country women make a match in heaven?

I loved the characters that are bold, sassy and just too cute as they stand their ground bring many hours of wonderful reading. Blaise is just a sweet heart, smart, willing to help which at times makes things worse add that to handsome, and every woman’s dream man. Dusty is a lady full of pride and little rough around the edge and one sexy little package. It is going to take one heck of a man to pull her in and keep her. I thought this was cute very funny but at times a little dark and sad. It was well written giving the reader a delightful read that really pulls you in. I loved the plot with a mix of this and that. The characters blend very well together as the hook you turning you evening to one of delight.

I was taken back a little by the use of the "f" word. It was not just used once or twice but many times throughout the book. So, if you are offended by the "f" word you might not want to read this book. Otherwise, this was a sweet read.

Yet, I could not stand Dusty in the beginning. I would say for more than half of the story, she was a royal bitch. I understand her being very upset with Blaise for running over one of her ewes but it was an accident. In fact, Blaise felt so bad that he tried his hardest to make it up to Dusty. However, all she could do was pick on Blaise and be rude to him. So when they finally hooked up, I had my reservations about Dusty. Slowly, she did open up and became friendlier to the point that I did not hate her by the end of the story. It was easy to see how Blaise was won over by the county life. It has its charm. I would try another book by this author

This was so bad. So freaking bad. I hated Dusty so much, everything about her was so annoying. The constant “omg am I the problem” mindset, like yes girl you are. And also EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER was “but I can’t love him…he’s a city boy and I’m a country girl.” Like girl be so for real. Anyway that’s all!

Dusty is a woman living in the country. She runs a farm, the family farm, now that her father has passed away. She has her mother with her and a sister that is living in the big city. Life in a farm can be tough. but Dusty loves it being out there. The only bad thing is that it is taking all her time and even though she loves it it can be exhausted. The fact that there is no man around to help and support her, more in a moral way is not helping. As a matter of fact there are men around there, but they believe they know better on how to run a farm. And her ex is not a catch! He may be helping her from time to time, but he believes he has rights on her, which he doesn’t!

Braise is living in the city. He is working as an accountant and he is doing a good work too! He is after becoming junior partner at the small company he works for. This is his dreams, his plans for when turning 28. To pursue his dream, he goes on a trip to the country to meet with clients. His boss thinks that it is their turn to go close to the clients and work with them at their own environment. So Braise is taking the chance to work harder for the partnership. The only thing is he knows nothing about country and country life, so when he gets there, he becomes something of a gossip.

The way these two folks meet is surreal. Dusty is trying to handle a mob of ewes and Braise is trying to get to his clients with his shiny Audi. Not a joyful encounter! But anyway, they don’t seem to get off each other’s mind so, this is how the story begins.

It is a romance that is charging fast! The city man is overwhelmed by the country woman and he would do his best to have a chance with her. He even gets his hands dirty, being on a farm and all. This is a show off of what a man can do to get close to a woman. He also remains a gentleman the whole time, which is a very nice touch. He does not pushes things, rather he gives time for the romance to evolve! He even defends the woman he loves, which is what makes him the knight in the shiny armor!

That is a nice way to pass the time. A beautiful reading to spend your afternoon!

Review:

This is a pretty light story set in the rural farm country of Australia. Blaise is an accountant who is sent by his office in the city to work with the farmers to do their bookkeeping and prepare their taxes. Blaise has his mind set on a big promotion. After he finishes up with the farmers he will be a shoo-in to become a junior partner. Blaise didn’t count on hitting a sheep crossing the road or being so attracted to the beautiful woman who owned the sheep. The city boy is blundering around trying not to get dirty, but when he offers to help Dusty with the shearing of the sheep, things get very dirty and his problems begin. Dusty and Baise go from annoyance and hate to I can’t wait to see him/her again in a matter of a day. There is an attraction that can not be controlled, but the city boy is out of his element with these country people. The book has many funny situations as well as a serious side. It is a fast, easy read that is sure to leave you smiling at the end. This story has the happy ever after that I love so much. I wish that there was more about the characters in this story. I got a pretty good feel for Dusty, but I felt that there was more to Blaise than the author showed.

Chasing Dust Clouds

Blaise is an accountant - sent to the country to do books, and he is hoping this will lead to his Jr partnership. Dusty runs the family farm since her father passed away. She is moving her sheep so that they can be shorn, when Blaise comes by and runs over one of her Ewes. There is an instant attraction/awareness between Dusty and Blaise, but Dusty tries to just get him to move on, but she can't stop thinking of the city boy. Blaise gets lost and ends up at Dusty's farm to ask for directions. He stays to help her out on shearing day to try to make up for the loss of her sheep (but really he just wants to be close to Dusty). He tries so very hard, but he just doesn't know what to do with the country life, but he is willing to learn to be able to spend more time with Dusty. So will the city boy be willing to move to the country? That is a question Dusty posed to Blaise one afternoon. The characters and story are so great, that you feel as if you are doing through everything with them. Country gir/city boy, opposites attract. Dusty is a very strong woman, as she has to be in order to run her farm.

City living accountant Blaise takes an assignment in the country in hopes of becoming a junior partner at his firm. On the way to the county he accidentally hits a sheep. Said sheep belongs to country woman, Dusty. Dusty has been managing the family farm since her father passed away a few years ago. Blaise wants to make amends for the accident. Independent Dusty wants him out of her farm. These two characters are real and so very likable. This book had humor and Heart. I loved strong Dusty and her dedication. Blaise impressed me with his willingness and perseverance.
Great book with great characters. Life on a farm is not easy and the author has you feeling like you were with the characters in the country.

Dusty is an opinionated bossy stubborn sheep farmer. Blaise is a nice city boy accountant sent too her country to work on costumer’s books and happens to accidentally run into one of Dusty’s sheep causing it’s death. E is smitten and sorry for what he did but Dusty is fit to be tied. Blaise is determined to get a date with the ornery farmer. This one has an abusive ex boyfriend, a nosy mother, a nosy motel keeper, small town grapevine, an angry boss, a determined accountant and a strong woman.

When Dusty meets Blaise. Its her yelling at him to stop but he doesn't hear her. He freaks out and doesn't know what to do when he sees a huge group of sheep in the road.  Blaise was sent to meet clients in the rural country. These 2 together are so funny. They are so opposite from each other. I love how Dusty speaks her mind and just takes charge. It was a quick read for me because it sucks you in.

This is very different to her other books Ive read. But I really liked it. County girl Blaise meets City boy Dusty and when they come together its like an explosion. They are night and day but personalities blend well. She has a very sassy mouth that can be a bit much but I enjoy a women who can stand up for herself. This is a great story .

Blaise is a city boy through and through but when he is sent to the country to work with a few clients he is thrown in right at the deep end!
Dusty dislikes Blaise as soon as she meets, I doesn't help that he has just run over one of her sheep!

Can they get over their first meeting? How will it ever work between them when she is so country and he a city boy to a tee!

A country girl and a city boy. Dusty and Blaise are an enemies to lovers slow burn romance. I love the commitment that Blaise puts into making everything up to Dusty and that Dusty stands up for herself and what she believes in. A great new direction for Lilliana Rose!!

Chasing Dust Clouds by Lilliana Rose is a romance story about two characters: Dusty, a young woman working the farm with her mother trying to make ends meet and avoid a sticky situation with an old flame and Blaise, an accountant who comes out to the town to do the accounting for several of the other farmers in the area and to prove that he is worthy of being considered to be a junior partner in the business. When Blaise and Dusty first meet things do not go well for either one of them. Blaise, in his ineptness, hits one of Dusty’s ewes and she is forced to put the poor animal down to put her out of her misery. Dusty of course rips him a new one for what he has cost her and how he has created even more problems for her by scaring the sheep and causing them to scatter. It’s really not a good time overall because the timing couldn’t be worse. So she’s forced to make a call for help to a man that she’d rather not have to call, her ex-boyfriend…Aaron. Aaron wants more with Dusty but her gut tells her that something dark lurks inside him and that it’d be best for her to avoid any further entanglement beyond asking him for help. Sparks are flying between Blaise and Dusty for sure. Dusty is attracted but she doesn’t want to admit it because he’s just a city boy and she expects him to leave sooner than later. Well, things begin to heat up in town and in small towns…the rumor mill will churn and churn quickly.
In this story we are introduced to a strong female character in Dusty. She doesn’t like having to ask for help and she knows how to stand and handle her own. She trusts her gut instincts with Aaron though it does get her into trouble more than once when it comes to him because this man does not take “no” for an answer. But Dusty is also stubborn. Her father passed away three years prior and she misses him dearly but she pushes herself hard in an attempt to try and handle it all so that she can keep the farm going and make her father proud of her. When Blaise comes around that is when things begin to change for both of them. Blaise is the typical city boy accountant and he desperately wants that promotion but he makes a lot of stumbles along the way of doing his job the minute he hits town but you can tell that he’s a really quality guy.
Overall I really enjoyed this story because the storyline itself is really well done and well written. There aren’t any hiccups or places of where you’re reading along and you can tell that the author struggled to keep the storyline flowing. The characters come across very life like in most aspects as they make missteps and mistakes that create misunderstandings and confusion.
My only real issue with this story is the errors throughout. They are minor spelling errors and grammatical errors but they stand out and catch your eye when you are reading because a couple make you actually stop, pause and reread the sentence to make sure that you understand what the author is trying to get across. I know that this story is written from a different dialect/language usage (Australian) but the errors are common ones that if the story was looked over would be noticed and then could be properly corrected.
All in all I really enjoyed this book. So for that reason I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars. I can’t give it a full 5 star rating due to the poor editing done but I really enjoyed reading this book. Plus, I loved how the author managed more than once to work the title of the book into the story itself which is something I tend to look for in any story that I read…is for the title to tie in and that is exactly what this author has done. So if you are looking for a good romance novel with a happy ending but some bumps along the way then this is a book to definitely pick up and enjoy at your leisure.

I received an ARC of this book from the author. I must say this was a fun book to read. What happens when a city boy goes into the country? Blaise meets Dusty when he is lost and ends up hitting one of her sheep with his car. Not exactly a good first impression. He feels that he should make restitution for her loss and ends up helping her on the farm. This girl can run circles around him and he can't help falling for her. Dusty is handling the farm with her mother but it is hard to do alone. Sometimes she needs a little extra help. Blaise does what he can to help. All in all a good book and I enjoyed reading it.

I actually really enjoyed this book, my first Lillian Rose read. It's a lovely gentle romance full of realistic and fun characters. The gradual blossoming of Dusty and Blaise's relationship kept me hooked.
I was impressed by the level of detail in the book regarding farming, which was interesting and engaging.
This book had a bit of everything a good romance needs.

This is my first book with this author and I found it to be a sweet love story of two people from completely different lifestyles and backgrounds actually compromise and make an HEA.

The characters had their moment and while Dusty was a strong independent female lead, I must admit I much prefer strong willed ladies rather than simpering misses, Dusty gave as good as, if not better than, she got. She is a very hard working, respected sheep ranch owner in the hard dust lands of Australia, tending and rearing sheep after the loss of her father. She promised to keep his legacy alive, and take care of her Mom while trying to keep them above water.

In comes Blaise, a city boy through and through, who lends a comical twist as he navigates this hard unforgiving place and basically has a culture shock that leaves him a bit bruised. Each run in with Dusty, though riddled with a mutual attraction and heated spark, somehow exposes his weak side as he fails over and over to make an impression that he can adapt to farm life.

The descriptive scenery and somewhat unforgiving world of farm life where one literally sleep walks through chores and pushes oneself above and beyond human limits hold the reader as we experience a new world through the eyes of our H/h and also first hand of how a true grapevine works within a small community where everyone knows everyone and there is nothing you can do but accept your info is public knowledge or it soon will be.

My main critique is that this story needs some serious editing and tightening of the story line, as well some lines are repetitive and typos are rather abundant throughout. Blaise's character seems rather wimpy and soft for every time I read about Australian men they seem more alpha and self confident.

All in all there is a lot to like in this story but it is sometimes quite lost in clumsy wording, misprinted words and typos which can cause some negative responses.

For me I value the experience that Ms Rose has shared with us, the rigors of sheep farming, the emotional rides of making a relationship work even when it seems doomed, facing bullies and I look forward to more of her work... once better screened thus allowing a better flow.

***Gifted in exchange for an honest review***

I saw an Australian Rural Romance up to be reviewed, and since I have lived there and also worked on sheep farms I was keen to head into a book that would also take me down memory lane.

When Blaise (ooh I know Swoonworthy name) gets lost on a trip into the rural Victorian landscape which is usually poorly signposted and can look the same for miles and miles (or rather in Australia, Kilometres!) accountant Blaise is busy trying to find what road he should take when suddenly hes about to drive into a mob of sheep on the road. This scene was well written and accurate as I have been in similar situations, and when he runs over one the owner of the sheep, Dusty is righteously irate.

Their opposite personalities are a match for fireworks and Blaise finds his cool calm city attitude is taken as arrogance, Dusty is fuming, farmers are having it tough in the current climate, and with wool prices being low, Dusty can't afford to loose a pregnant ewe! She soon cuts his weak apologies down with her firey temper and honest comments about his lack of care on a rural road.

Blaise knows the truth when he hears it and while searching for the farm he was supposed to be going to decides he needs to make it up to the sassy but beautiful Dusty.

The side characters ensure that a full picture of a small rural town is given to the reader, and I loved the B&B couple, and unfortunately Dusty's Ex has quite a believable character but he is soon put in his place, Dusty doesn't need someone to rescue her, but she still appreciates having a man to back her up in a fight.

Lilliana Rose has got the right mix of laughter, drama and romance in a story that will have you heading off into the rural landscape of Australia for a HEA - even if there are a few pot holes on the way.

I loved this book!!! I love Lilliana Rose anyway so it wasn't a chore to read this. I laughed out loud so many times during this book that I had my family looking at me kind of funny. I also had to buy the book for my mother because she insisted that I do that after hearing me from the living room. If a book can take me away from a hockey game then you know you've hit the puck out of the net. This was one of those books.

First of all, it didn't have the instalove, sex so much it makes you flip the pages at a clip faster than a car on a highway and foul language. It built up to a relationship which made me enjoy this all the more. I like romances that have a slow build and then go from there. Would I read a second book? Heck yes. It took maybe 5 hours to finish this book but I was also doing things in between and I'm a speedreader. Others, it might take a lot longer. The descriptions in the book were like you were right there and I loved that.
