May work for you, did not work for me. My opinion. These are just my notes in case I come across this book again and I want to recall why it did not work for me. You may love it. I am not telling you not to read it.
Some parts of this book felt very similar to another book I just read. Similar opening scene. Later meeting each other.
This book just did nothing for me. I was in a mood for a billionaire book, but the heroine would say "I am not having sex with him" but the heroine, Charlotte, would. The hero, Noah Cutler, is charged with murder. The heroine is assigned to help him. They have sex - I don't think they use a condom. She does not even know who he is. Nothing. Not even his name except X. Charlotte is at a bachelorette party and is wearing a candy bracelet and the "game" is if a guy takes a candy off, he signs his name on her hand. The hero signed X. Anyway, she has sex at the bar with X and does not find out his name until the next day. The heroine acts all shy and innocent, but has sex immediately. Not questions asked. I am not sure if the heroine feels insecure. Charlotte says most men make her feel big and oafish since she is "five ten and carried more weight than I probably should have..." (loc 4%)

a few chapters makes a book good story but didn't finish the series. What author does that?

Wow! I'm in love with this series! In fact, I love it so much that I wanted to share my review for the first three books in Hannah Ford's seductively dark serial, What He Wants. Oh yes, I did say serial which means multiple installments and dare I say it - cliffhangers. Yikes! Personally, I love a great white-knuckle, hold-your-breath cliffhanger but to each his own, right? For me, it's like watching my favorite weekly television drama but don't let that discourage you. Hannah never leaves us hanging. She releases a riveting new installment once or twice a month like clockwork. Originally, I read each installment as it was released under the Kindle Unlimited program but you don't have to wait. Ford has released sixteen books in the series to date and the icing on the cake, they're all available under the Kindle Unlimited program! Woo Hoo! This collection is the compilation of the first three books in the series, What He Wants, What He Craves and What He Demands. It's the perfect way to dip your toe and test the water. This series totally rocked my world and I'm sure you'll love it as well! It has a little bit of everything to suit almost everyone! Each successive release becomes more interesting, exhilarating and enticing. The story is exciting, thrilling, compelling, powerful, mysterious, suspenseful, intense, romantic, arousing, sensual and steamy. Whew! That's a real mouthful but those are only a few of the words that came to mind while reading this story. The narrative is exceptionally well written in the first person with alternating his and her points of view. Yum - my favorite! The dialogue is smart, snappy, well executed and flows effortlessly. The characters are fascinating, captivating, engaging, intriguing and sexy as sin. Ford skillfully combines these elements to create a dark, compelling and seductive tale filled to the brim with murder, mystery, suspense, secrets, deceit, betrayal, intrigue, passion, romance and plot twists that will blow your mind. And did I mention BDSM and toe-curling sex? No? Oh yes, it's also included. Yowza!

This author is just amazing and these first 3 will set you up and hold you till the last word and then you so will want more. This continuation of this series is a fascination that will have you wanting, panting and getting some blocks of ice.
