Everyone deserves someone, even if that someone is a little … odd. Amon Cotter came to Clear Creek to help build Mr. Van Cleet’s hotel. His passion for his work may have been a little over the top, but his craftsmanship with wood was second to none, and when the hotel work was done, he decided to stay on.
Nettie Whitman, the daughter of the nefarious Thackary Holmes, was sent from England to Clear Creek to find a husband. Accompanied by her twin brother, Newton, she is at the matchmaking mercy of the Cooke family, who think Amon the perfect match. But Amon has a mind of his own, and isn’t as interested in marriage as one might think. Until things start to happen that change his mind and heart. Can this mismatched pair make a go of it? Or are they too different? Add to the mix Cutty, the drifter, an identity created by a redeemed Thackary, who winds up as the pair’s chaperone, and you have the perfect recipe for … well, you decide.
Kit Morgan, aka Geralyn Beauchamp, has been writing for fun all of her life. When writing as Geralyn Beauchamp, her books are epic, adventurous, romantic fantasy at its best. When writing as Kit Morgan they are whimsical, fun, inspirational sweet and clean stories that depict a strong sense of family and community. 'His Prairie Princess' is the first of the Prairie Brides books and the first in the series of a long line of stories about Clear Creek, Oregon. One of the wackiest little towns in the old west! Get to know the townsfolk in Clear Creek and come sit a spell!
NOTE: Hi folks, it has come to my attention there is an erotica book floating around out there written under the name Kit Morgan. IT IS NOT MY BOOK! I do not, and never will, write in that genre.
This is the story of Amon and Nettie. They have an unusual connection and their relationship works it's way through their insecurities. But an interesting twist with this author is how she builds a nasty antagonist, then puts him through trials and redeems him. Such will be the case with the next story in this series.
Amon the wood craftsman, did not want to get married, ever. That sets the stage for the next performance of the Prairie Grooms. Miss Nettie and her twin brother Newton are in Clear Creek for that very purpose - to find Miss Nettie a husband. Get ready for a good time.
Loved this book. I didn't really understand the mystical part of the story about why or how he got sick k, but I still enjoyed the story. Sweet are romantic. Left me with a good feeling.
This book is just as amazing as all the other books in this series. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys following charters in a series. Great job Kit Morgan! I can't wait to start the next book.
When you only read at night it takes forever to finish the book. Cute book. Typical Kit Morgan book but if it wasn’t I wouldn’t read it. Last in the series. Apparently you are supposed to start with the Bride Series first. Guess I’ll start that series now. 🤦♀️
I just love every one of the books in this series and can hardly wait for the next one!! Love the intrigue and hope, love and sadness, sacrifice and joy these stories bring!!
This is my second time in 3 years reading this book. After reading all her other books, made me understand things better. I also picked up a few things I missed before. This is a great book! Enjoy!
Amon*s story was full of surprises and left me with more questions than answers. It was still a delightful story with several layers and I'm hoping to find some answers in the next book.
This was an unbelievable ridicules book. Such a disappointment. Should of quit half way through. I still don't understand it. What in the world was she talking about.
Amon was never going to marry and told and old Harrison and Collin no when they asked them to marry their cousin Nettie. When he was protecting her from an undesirable man who had it in his mind that he was going to marry her and he wasn't going to let anything get in his way Amon stepped in to protect Nettie. Clear Creek is getting bigger and the sewing circle continues to grow. Grandma Waller is her usual honest self with her tell it like it is attitude, she is charming in her own way. Irene Dunnigan has mellowed a bit but she still wields her ladle as a weapon to keep everyone in line.
The story continues. I love that concept of a town and knowing everyone's love story it like going back home, where you know everything. This collection is my guilty pleasure, they are not literary amazing but they are fun and well written. This book was interesting because we see the transformation of Cutty and we are introduce to his children and their relationships. I love the part of love sickness, I don't know if it meant to be funny but it was to me. A quick and good read.

I was glad to read another installment of the prairie grooms. Some things in the series are close to being resolved. This is definitely NOT a stand alone book. Glad I've read most of them. Need to read Gerylynn Beauchamp's... Kit Morgan's alter ego to understand why Amon is sick.
Very good story. After reading Amon and the time masters series and matchmaker series I believe that Amon was part Murian. Because of his description by Nettie, slanted eyes, reddish brown hair and his over love for wood and the outside. To an extent that is not normal.
Plus in Matchmaker Christmas cookies they are only mentioned as being in England
Ok, I absolutely love Kit Morgan and her writing but the series is just coming too slow. A little bit scary there for a minute and the end was way too soon. Kit could add 10,000 words and it would still be short. LOVED IT! Next!
Am on is truly a fabulous story of what love is and can be for others. I know that when you read this book you will know what true love is. Kit Morgan has once again given the reader a story of what true love is. Read it and uh oh will feel it.
What can I say, I thought this was A Wonderful Series. I hate to See it end I felt so I knew these people. What A Great Movie This Series would make. Now I will start Cutty.
So Kit Morgan is the author that I stumbled across last year that introduced me to the whole mail order bride/western historical romance/kindle book thing. I have loved everything that I've read by her and this is no different. You really can't go wrong reading any book by Kit Morgan.
Amon-was a craftsman and didn't want to marry but when Clinton threaten her he stepped up. Nettie- the daughter of the nefarious Thackary Holmes was sent from England to find a husband
