I absolutely loved this book. It took off in the discussion of mirrors and the inclusion of the artist in his own work. The book helped me understand and appreciate the psychological depth of Goya and why, when I look at his portraits even now, I am meeting someone I might know. The book rests on the idea that Goya represents a special contribution to his age that has many ramifications for our own
