To love someone who is in denial hurts enormously and you just can't stop it.
Harvey never lost his inner strength. I belong to the grateful public.

Wonderful

The last book about George and Harvey was as good as it could be. Harvey comes back after 5 months on the road.
The things he has gone through makes him realise that he left a good man.
Even though I felt like George was letting Harvey down in the second book I was hoping they end up together. The description of their love is so well written I can almost feel it.
This last book is filled with emotions; grieve, happiness, love, sadness, fear......all the spectre of emotions. What I liked best about all of the books is that it's a story that could have been real.
As I said before the writing style is great and that makes it a joy to read.
Thanks so much to the author for writing about these two guys who is very much rooted in the real world.

Poor Harvey.
And then even though George was still waiting for him Paula was there getting her two pennys worth in!! Didnt like that woman until late in the book.
Harvey got all he wanted in the end but what a journey he had to go on to get it all. That man went through more than anyone needed to to b happy.
George well he grew on me in this book too. And live Ginger!!
Well written trilogy going to look out for more books from this writer.

I enjoyed this series and really liked the way Harvey grew up in this story. Harvey finally getting his happy ending with George. I was hoping just a little that something was growing with Lucas or Chip they seemed a better fit that George. I did like George but he seems a little immature at some point. Paula wow what a character I didnt like her through out the series but in the end I am glad she changed. Overall this is a good series and look forward to more from this author.

The Come Back!

Ok I knew that brother of Harvey's, was not to be trusted the fucker is crazy. Harvey got the hateful wife, I loved how George went off on her. I'm sorry it took what happen for her to, see that George really did love Harvey with all his heart. Harvey got the love of life.

What can I say? It all ended with a HUGE emotional bang! There were so many twists and turns and I thought it was going to end so differently than it did, but I loved the ending (and the epilogue is heart-touching).

I'm so glad I discovered this author, and I'm going to be waiting for his next book eagerly! 10/10

Sorry, I bought the series after reading the reviews , but then disovered it wasn´t my cup of tea. The writing is skilful, editing is good, development of characters was okay, this part is basically the happy ending of the three-piece story.

Finale degno di questo nome, finalmente i nostri due innamorati possono scrivere un nuovo futuro anche se ho temuto fino alla fine che qualcosa andasse storto

(I'm using my review from the 1st book. I read them so quickly I don't remember what happened in which book)

a glutton for punishment
phrase of glutton
noun: glutton for punishment
1.
a person who is always eager to undertake hard or unpleasant tasks.

Hi, my name is Tony - and I am a glutton for punishment!

**2.5 stars rounded up to 3**

I hated this story! I hated Harvey. I hated George. I hated Paula and I really fucking hated Leo!

The only character I did like was the waitress/owner of the cafe/diner!

The fact this was one of the author's first books is why I am giving it a 3 star rating. I read a more recent story and actually enjoyed it - but this one? OOOOO...MMMMMM....GGGGGG!

I am the type that once I start reading, I have to keep going! And after reading the first book - I had to continue on in the series. But wow - ok first off

Oh and also

Now let us talk about Paula. I have a hard time with cold, ice queen, bitchy wife characters - and that didn't change for Paula.

Oh and there is also the druggie, alcoholic brother who for some reason has a hold over Harvey and is physically and mentally abusive. His name is Leo and he is an ahole - and his character only gets worse throughout the rest of the series.

I read all 3 books in this series very close together (like I mentioned earlier - I am a glutton for punishment) and not really sure now what happened in each book. I just know that this book was full of insta-love, super fast story line (whiplash inducing), a married gay man who is scared to tell his wife, a druggie/alchie brother who is abusive, a sad history for a dramatic MC.

OH! And I am George's age... and first - the dating a 19 y/o thing. Okay - I can get over that. But the fact he calls him "kid" every other second was very... *shudders* I don't know --- gross? creepy?...very Chester Chester - to me!

Well it's the end. Harvey left George at the end of book two. Good for you Harvey. George is a asshole. George(I have no idea why) was caught making out with his (I don't love her, ONLY YOU HARVEY) wife. We never did find an explanation. So, I am going to assume he's been two-timing them both this who time they have been all living together. Even though in the first book it stated that George and Paula's sex life is non existence for a while.

So, Harvey left with his brother(I changed! and am sober now) brother Leo and left town. It's only been five months. Harvey misses George. He loves him. (You can do better Harvey)!!

Shit goes down and Harvey ends up going back to (to see) if George will give him another chance! Or if George never 'loved him' and moved on. Well Paula and George are still living together. But the moment he sees Harvey it is all "I love you and only you. I missed you so much..." blah blah blah. But wait... it has only been five months.

George. I don't like him. At all. He's a jerk. His non existence sex(with Paula) life is back on apparently. They had sex a couple of times in the past few months. But he never(doesn't anymore) love her. Then why the f*ck did you sleep with her then? Asshole.

So, George 'picks' Harvey. Whatever, I think Harvey should run away from this. Paula is pissed.

blah blah blah.

George and Harvey have their 'happy ending'. But I am not happy. I don't like George anymore. No real explanations of why he was all over Paula when he was appearantly all for Harvey only. And then in the end .

Again I devoured this book in one sitting because I couldn't simply put it down until I read the last page . Ashley has a way with words that keeps to glued to the spot forgetting everything around you . Yes, husband was neglected for a few hours , oh well , he coped !
For someone so young to have talent as such as this I think is amazing .
I'm not a fan of cheating , never have been , never will be , so I knew before I started the first book that I wasn't going to enjoy it , but by the end of the first chapter I was hooked and by the end of each book I was biting my nails waiting in anticipation to find out what happened next . Luckily for me I read this series after Surf Bay so I hadn't got to wait for the next book . I literally put one book down and picked up the next . 3 books , 2 days lol .
This is the most perfect ending to the series you could ask for. Every question you had throughout the series was answered by the end of the third book . Your not left hanging. George and Harvey get everything they could possibly want including a soon-to-be ex wife that is actually and genuinely happy for them both .
I have got to say Ashley has become one of my favourite authors and I have yet to read a book of his that I have not loved ! If I could give Ashley more than 5 stars I would !

Harvey left George in the last book. (Good for him), but he has landed in a far worse situation with his brother and the band he is in. After having enough of his crap, Harvey leaves to go find George again to see if they could be together again. When he arrives back at the house, he is not so sure of his welcome because of all the photo’s of George and Paula on the wall.

George is ecstatic that Harvey is back and lets him know this. With Harvey back in his life George steps up and tells Paula it’s over. She went crazy. Oh wow, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.’ But the two men soldier through it all and come out on top.

The final conclusion of the George and Harvey series, to me doesn’t disappoint. I’m just happy that Harvey got his happy ending. It was a little touch and go closer to the end, but they pulled through.

As a whole I really did enjoy the series. I think I might need to start the Surf Bay series. Or what til it’s done if it has cliff hangers like this series. I really do hate those.

OH MY GOSH!...What a ending...Loved theses books. You deserve a standing ovation. Great books. Finally Harvey came home to George and finally Paula is out of the picture but on (finally) good terms. Leo is a punk and I don't like him he hurt George. It was so sweet Harvey talked to him when George got stabbed by Leo and the doctors thought he would not make it and Harvey talked to him and begged him not to leave him and said he was going to ask him to marry him. I broke down. Then George fluttered his eyes opened and said yes to Harvey. Paula then I think who was truly in love here. Awesome. Just friggin' awesome.

2nd time reading it b/c of re-edits & new content. I noticed new content in this book. It was still so emotional to read. This one keeps your heart going not wanting you to stop reading b/c you want to know how it ends! Last two chapters I was reading with blurry eyes... Wonderfully done as usual Ashley!! <3

What an ending! This trilogy was such an emotional roller coaster. There was laughter, tears, love and many other things combined to make this such a compelling read. I finished this book in an hour and a half. I finished the trilogy in one day :)
Ashley John really has a way with words. His characters have passion and they have heart. This is undoubtedly one of the best M/M romances I've read.
