The very foundations of Epheria twisted and cracked. Tales of that night have been weaved across the length and breadth of the continent—whispered at campfires, recounted to children at night, regaled before crowds of thousands. Every silver-tipped tongue tells a different story; every bard spins their own web.

This book was phenomenal. Backstories on some of our favorite (and not so) characters. Political intrigue. Gut-wrenching grief. And Cahill doing what he does best, in making you see things from the other side of the lens, to where you can, if not sympathize with the villain, at least understand better his they got to where they are. So. Good!
