4.5 'Flannel & Pink Ivory' Stars!
After reading Marni's new novel (Wild Aces) and getting glimpses of Derek and Frankie I really wanted to know how they fell in love so now here I am with the review of this amazing story!
Unblocked is a serial of five episodes that belongs to Marni Mann's Timber Towers serial and, as I mentioned, it tells the story of Frankie Jordan (the best friend of Brea -heroine of Wild Aces-, a very succesful real state agent and a woman who has suffered pretty shitty stuff because of her ex-boyfriend's 'decisions' and now she is not in her best moment, personally not professionally) and Derek Block (a sexy, dirty talking, i-make-flannel-look-so-good architectural designer who seeks revenge for his father's death and falls in lust and love with Frankie from their very first meeting).
“We’ll be the power team of Boston,” I told him. “Two forces, experts in our domains…we’ll be unstoppable. The result will be explosive.”
And they are oh-so-explosive! This story is a roller coaster of lust-love and all the emotions in between. Derek and Frankie start having a professional relationship (he wants her to sell the Timber Towers buildings) and both of them (especially Frankie) have a difficult time not knowing what to do with the sparks that happen between them. She is a bit insecure because of all the past situations with Reed (the asshole ex, I hate you!!) and Dererk, at first, does not want to accept that he really cares about Frankie.
I couldn’t explain my attraction to him.
And I couldn’t explain why my need for him persisted despite my fear of what would happen if I ever gave in.
Everything would end the moment we left this hotel. Once I kissed her good-bye, I would imagine the night I had with her every second I was around her, and every second I wasn’t. I wasn’t ready for good-bye.
Obviously, as you all could see with my status updates, Derek and Frankie have off-the-fucking-charts chemistry. The sex is SO HOT. And Derek is just perfect, a perfect dirty talker. He is not afraid to say what he wants from Frankie and she is only able to follow his commands (I totally get you, girl!!). First, their lust is consuming them and after, strong feelings begin to develop and they cannot stop what happens next. I loved it!
She knew I wanted her, that my dick was hard when I was around her and she was denying me. Testing me. She was making me work harder than I ever had.

Love them!! I really enjoyed their journey of falling in love and thank God I decided to read this when all the episodes where already published because I would not have been able to wait after all those cliffhangers (there's one in every episode, except the last one)! There are moments for everything in Unblocked and you will find yourself laughing, melting, crying and anything in between.. I cried a lot with the fifth episode after discovering the whole thing and seeing Frankie suffer another terrible situation! But that's why I enjoyed this so much too, totally worth it.
I held onto him as if he was the only thing that was keeping me standing. He likely was. We stayed just like that, unwilling to move. Just holding each other again as we had once before in this same space. I didn’t know how much time had passed; I didn’t care.
This was where I wanted to be.

Therefore, my rating for Unblocked is 4.5 STARS because I really enjoyed getting to know Derek and Frankie better and I loved their love story (especially, the emotional and sexy parts lol). I haven't rated it with a 5 because I feel the ending was a bit rushed and I wanted more of them! Still, it was so good and I highly recommend it, especially if you read Wild Aces and now you are curious about these two!

Frankie gets a Block and a tower too…
Sassy is about to get a lot sassier than she’s ever been before. There was absolutely no way for my review of Unblocked Collection to be written without a few rude crude and socially unacceptable words that popped into my head at the conclusion of this series. If you are offended at rude and crude words, close your eyes…or maybe squint at the screen enough to close this sucker down.
Derek loves to play…like a doggy…with his pussy…in the back alley…you get what I’m saying? Whenever Frankie walks into a room, Derek comes to attention. In the chapters where we see his thoughts, the man is a walking hard on. His c*ck seems to have a permanent relationship with the length of his zipper. Frankie isn’t much better…she’s all about screaming his name and yelling harder, deeper and I want to come (or cum whichever word tickles your fancy). This book is really HOT. No mild case of lust here, these two can’t keep their hands to themselves.
So this series isn’t all about eating and sucking, there is a storyline. Frankie is a real estate agent and works in her father’s company that she hopes to take over running in the future. Garret, Frankie’s father comes across as an emotionally unavailable asshole in my opinion. The fact that he pushed her so hard and expected her to be solely focused on work, with no social life, was not the actions of a father who cared about his daughter. Frankie strives to be good enough in his eyes, but it seems an unattainable goal.
Frankie’s main problems in her life revolve around her work, which has a knock on effect to her social life. Her ex-boyfriend, Reed ruined their relationship but expects Frankie to give him another chance. They have had to keep a work relationship going and Frankie must constantly push her feelings aside and act like it’s business as usual. Between Reed and his inability to let her go, Julia (a work rival who sleeps her way to the top) and her father’s demands to put work above everything else, Frankie has enough on her plate to keep her busy.
Derek is the property developer of Timber Towers. He wants the best real estate agent to sell his properties, and the front runner is Frankie. Julia is also a contender and it’s obvious she plans to get the attention of Derek in the only way she knows how...on her back...or...hands and knees...or...on top, with a whip in her hand (as I'm lead to believe could be her scene). In the first books we see him struggle with his lust for Frankie. He has strict rules when it comes to the women he sleeps with and only spends one night and one morning with them. It took me until book 4 to “get” him. When all the facts came out and we understand why he is the way he is, it makes a whole lot more sense.
Derek and his sister Hayden, are seeking revenge on a man who caused heartache and devastation to their family. Hatred of Randy, another property developer, runs deep. Their determination to get their revenge has led them to live their lives dedicated to work and finding ways to make the man pay.
The journey traveled for Derek and Frankie was bumpy. The lack of communication and trust between this couple caused many problems. In book 3 and 4 these problems would have been lessened if they had communicated with each other. The sexual chemistry between them was the cornerstone of their relationship to start with, but eventually morphed into mutual admiration and respect.
I really loved meeting some of the supporting characters. Derek and Frankie’s assistants, Will and Brea, were wonderful and made the story flow smoothly. Towards the end Will hooks up with an unlikely candidate and I would love a story to see how that relationship works out (hint, hint, nudge, nudge – Marni). Brea has had something terrible happen in her past, we don’t know specifics but I would love to see her get a HEA, she deserves it. Anna, Frankie’s nanny from childhood was also a loved character.
Reading this series one straight after the other, had pluses and minuses. On the plus side – no waiting for new releases to the series, it’s all nicely wrapped up in one package. You don’t lose momentum and the highs and lows happen straight away, so the cliffy’s last for seconds instead of weeks or months. The negatives – by going from one story to the next, you have to rehash a bit. It also felt like one long sex scene with a few work related issues in between. These guys were sexing it up more than working or maintaining their fine physics. Marni my lovely (author extraodinaire), I’m pretty sure Frankie only went on one or two runs through the whole series, drank copious amounts of alcohol and ate out constantly. How the fukurri rugs did this chick have a fine ass? How on earth did Derek keep a “firm” body? He didn’t perform one bit of hard labour or exercise besides lifting Frankie against a wall to bang her.
I really enjoyed the Unblocked Collection. It was a HOT read with lots of pussy, c*nt, co*k and holes mentioned. Both have built walls around their hearts after bad relationships. Trust is slow to come and when it does, cements and strengthens their relationship. We get to see their relationship build and it wasn’t based solely on sex. Work and family commitments kept this couple busy, but they always managed to get their priorities straight in the end. I laughed, shed a tear, felt anger and enjoyed lots of hot and sexy wallbanging, pussy licking, c*ck sucking bits and pieces.

Derek is a generous lover which, juxtaposed against his vulnerabilities, his flaws and inability to open up to another, transcends him into the perfect book boyfriend.

Unblocked-Episode 1 is the first book in the Timber Towers Series. This hot bundle of love has been sitting on my TBR Shelf forever. I decided to take a plunge into the delicious world of Derek Block and with smoking hot passion, romance, and suspense, my KINDLE will never be the same! Frankie Jordan is a woman on a mission. She has always been successful in "work and play" and yet, her new client Derek Block is about to turn her entire world upside down!
Unblocked-Episode 2 is the second book in the Timber Towers Series. This second novella adds more tension, passion, and more DEREK (insert double your pleasure)! Let me start right off that bat saying that I'm not normally a serial reader. Serials are:
Excitement-cliffhanger-waiting.
Then repeat that four or five more times. So, as I'm not a big fan of the waiting, I normally pass on the whole experience. And by the time a collection is released I've normally moved on to other things. But after reading the many raving reviews of Derek Block and his amazing prowess, I was really primed to read this story. After
Unblocked is the story of Derek Block and Frankie Jordan. It's a story of passion, revenge, secrets, learning to leave yourself open and vulnerable to reap the greatest rewards out of life. He's a renowned architect, known for his clean, naturalistic designs. She's an intelligent, classy, and successful real estate agent working toward earning the top spot in her father's company with a single minded determination. I loved that both characters were on equal footing in terms of their success and exceptional looks. This was no lowly heroine in awe of the untouchable millionaire. Frankie was driven and garnered respect from Derek right from the beginning.
Frankie had remarkable strength and the ability to rattle Derek's sense of power. She ripped away his self-control and his ability to control her at all times. He's used to women lining up, then subsequently being obedient to his dominance. For the first time, a woman changes the rules on him and what surprises him the most is that he loves every minute of it.
She was ignoring my authority and taking what she wanted...and I was letting her. And I was so fucking turned on because of it.
Even after being warned of how incredibly steaming hot the chemistry was between Derek and Frankie, I still wasn't fully prepared for the level of panty melting bestowed on this humble reader. Ladies, if you're in the mood for an erotic smorgasbord, look no further. With those chocolate colored curls, lethally intense stares, and that blissful beard, Derek Block will hook you and keep you begging for more.
Have mercy. The things that man could do with his mouth....verbally and non-verbally. I'm beyond words. The heat that comes off of these two is sensual, carnal and utterly delicious. My heart was pounding in giddy delight.
"When you come, I want you to moan my name from the depth of your throat, drawing the sound across your tongue and through those gorgeous lips. Can you do that?"
"Yesssss..."
"Then come for me."
That being said, I was hoping for a little bit more development of a relationship past sex earlier on. It took until part four for the two of them to even attempt to have in in-depth conversation to get to know one another at a deeper level than animalistic lust. Yes, I loved his filthy mouth, and the execution of those dirty promises, but I like to see some strong emotional growth between the two main characters. Both the h/H were extremely closed off for their own personal reasons and that worked well in adding some mystery to Derek and strength to Frankie in dealing with his need for domination. She was no pushover or doormat heroine. She kept that man on his toes and kept his obsession for her growing at a very satisfying rate.
My only other complaint would be that I really do think that this story read as a collective whole caused me to hit a wall around the fourth part. When added together, the page count surpasses the 500 page mark and well, I was finding it difficult to remain invested as much as I was in the beginning without seeing the sex taper off some. I had to stop for a short breather before I could immerse myself into the last stretch of the story. Once I took a step back for a few days and returned, I was really pretty happy with how the story wrapped up. I finally saw the two of them open themselves up and expose that raw side to themselves that they had been protecting for so long. Watching them gain some acceptance and peace with their demons together made me feel happy and yet a little bittersweet that their journey was coming to a close.
If you're looking for a white hot read with a strong heroine, and an exceptional alpha hero, pick this collection up. Mark my words, you won't be disappointed.

What a series amazing
I 've luvd everything about this series an Derek Block bein the main reason god I luv this man the sexy beard the flannel shirt it's made my look at flannel a lot differently haha ;) but its the man in the shirt that's hot the things this man as seen an been through is crazy but the very sexy an gorgeous Frankie is there 2 take care of him in everywhere she as been through her own shit but 2gether they make the perfect couple but there r things that r goin 2 get in there where an some pretty shitty people

I loved the characters in this story...
But wow, lots and I mean lots of sex scenes, and for some that's probably a positive, but a little too much for me. LOL, but I think it was a little overkill and would have loved more of the couple's emotional connection.
Definitely some hot chemistry between the two.
I loved how they dealt with conflict and issues that came up right away and communicated beautifully.
He was definitely an alpha but what boy he loved his girl and was a softy for her.
So overall loved the premise of the story and plot but would have appreciated more development of their emotional development.

The audiobook is 16 hours long! I read 5 novellas with The Unblocked Collection. I read Miss Marni Mann's books before. I have fond memory of her writing style how she twisted the ending. However The Unblocked Collection is a longer version of FSOG.
It is still lightly better plot and have more sexy content compares to FSOG. Somehow I am expecting much more from Miss Mann.
This is the story between Frankie and Derek. They met and sparks flew. More like insta lust. There are some twist and hidden secrets. The drama is light. Since this is split into 5 novellas, each novella ends with cliffhanger. Then it is resolved very quickly without much drama.
Overall I enjoy this book OK.

Derek the dirty talker : Derek wants to do all manner of dirty, dirty things, all involving his mouth and Frankie’s pussy. I was all in favor of this. Even if I thought he was obsessed with going downtown….yeah I was ok with it. That he loved to describe what he would do and how he would do it and then show it….well I’m down for this man, any day, any time. Just sayin’. However, I would require some lube, especially for the backdoor play. Because, damn.
Some story with my smutastic times : There is alot of sex - it’s an erotic romance and yes there’s sex talk, sex thinking, and yes, just when you think they couldn’t do more, more sex. I’m glad to say that there’s a story in the midst of the sexy times. Derek has a mission to avenge his father, and Frankie has to grow and let go of her past hurt involving her douchey-ex Reed, as well as her concern for disappointing her father. There’s some genuine bonding moments between Derek and Frankie, and I truly enjoyed that their business was an integral part of the story, not just window dressing.
There’s personal growth : And not just Derek’s junk. Frankie may waffle like my Sunday breakfast, but she ends up accepting that she can’t just be a business machine. She deserves love and to find a balance. Derek is focused on his revenge, but also comes to the realization that he’s not one and done, that he wants Frankie and no one else will do.
I think I still prefer cereal to serials : Most serials have a different rhythm. Not a bad thing, but it makes a difference and well, maybe not my thing. I completely understand that some recap is necessary when you release a volume at a time. When read all at once, the repetitive bits and the excesses stand out even more. The sex, while good, is so overabundant that towards the end it was a bit overwhelming and I’ll admit I had to skim them to get back to the story. There’s alot of drinking by all the characters, almost too much. It just stood out to me.
I think if this were structured as a more traditional romance, the narrative tightened up, some of the recapping taken out and focus more on the story instead of the sex, it would have approached a five star read for me.
I liked it. Derek’s a great dirty talker and I liked the story, even if serials aren’t my bag. Ms. Mann is on my radar and I’d definitely read another book by her.

I've starting reading Unblocked out of the blue because someone contacted me and several months later, I'm still so happy she did because I would have let an amazing story pass me by!
Derek Block is a man you're going to love. At first he can seem a little harsh but once you get to know him, you can only melt.
He is a man who goes after what he wants. Even if at first his prior motive is revenge, his meeting with Frankie will change the course of his life.
One trait that captures me right away was his dirty talks. If you like dirty talkers like I'm, let me tell you Derek is probably the master at dirty talking!
Just a few examples to show you:
"I needed to own every fucking inch of her skin, to work her body until she begged for mercy, until she couldn't take another orgasm from my tongue, or my fingers, or my cock "
“Look at me, I want you to kiss me, and when my tongue enters your mouth, I want to feel your cunt contract over my cock.”
Frankie is a strong woman and I love her immediately. She is without a doubt a great part of why I loved this serial so much.
She knows who she is, she knows what she wants but she has a fragile heart. And when she realizes she is falling fast for Derek, she is not sure how to react. After all, their relation is based on a professional ground and she is not sure if she wants to mix pleasure with work.
Their love story is the center of this book but there's so much more. While both of them try to develop a relationship, there's still Derek's first motive that keep them apart.
Derek has to trust Frankie and it's not easy when you had your fair share of disappointment in his life.
Frankie has some secrets on her own and a decision to make: Work or pleasure?
With each part of the collection, you will see the connection between Frankie and Derek become stronger, become more than lust. Don't get me wrong, the whole collection is erotic as hell! It's an explosion of feels, wants and need on both parts.
But I can't only reduce the Unblocked Collection to an erotic tale because Marni Mann shows more than that. She shows that she can handle several subjects at the same time with different instalments in a book and still be coherent.
She shows that she can mix lust, love, feelings, suspense, revelation and still keep you at the edge until the very end.
I think my fav' part is the 4th because both of them are nearly bare to each other and their true feelings are exposed. And what's better in romance than the feeling of falling in love?

Timber Towers has a refreshing premise - is a real estate romance. When I first heard about this series, I thought it sounds boring. I mean real estate is as boring as banking. Unless you add in murder ala Dexter style, I don't know what can make me excited. But oh lordy, this book is freaking hot and it got all my juices flowing. Eck! Sorry for TMI.
I have to give it to the author for her ability to make real estate sounds so goddamn sexy with phrases like,
If this lobby was a woman's body, he was taking his time with her, caressing her neck, kissing down her navel, licking between her legs.
When it comes to architecture, I crave texture, scent, a visual flavor so unique it makes my mouth water.
I think I finally found another dirty talker in town that can go against Jameson Kane. They both can talk dirty to me and I will spontaneously combust right there.
"When I tie you up and lick every inch of your body, things like whether I'm wearing flannel or a ten thousand dollar suit aren't going to matter. You won't be aware of anything other than my tongue. I promise."

Now what about story? What is the deal with Timber Towers? There is a minor revenge subplot with Derek seeking vengeance. But hold your horses before you thinking that is one big convoluted plot because it isn't. To me, the plot serve as Derek's motivation and distraction to me from all the sex, but it isn't as strong as I hope it will be.
Overall, if you are looking for a super hot read that will left you panting for more without all the drama and angst, this is your book.

Where have I been?! Why haven't I been reading this series?! I could kick myself!! The only positive to waiting was getting to read all five episodes at once, NICE! Hours of reading about Derek and Frankie...Pure BLISS!! I started this having NO idea what was in store. I saw some good feedback from trusted GR friends and coupled with that cover (you know me and my bearded men!!!) sold! I was hooked from page one and stayed up all night so I could finish the entire series. This was HOT HOT HOT! Derek and his rugged looks had me drooling! I mean who doesn't love a bearded professional that wears flannel...if that doesn't sound right to you then you SO haven't met Derek Block. You will love flannel shirts just like I do by the end of this=) Read this series!!!!!

I read this series piece meal, each Episode devoured in a few hours. I will leave below a few extracts from my reviews for each episode.
Episode 1 "This is going to be a series to watch out for!! In this book the foundations have been laid and the story is just beginning. Marni introduces us to two fantastic characters that are both flawed in their own way and it is this that makes them all the more intriguing. They are both strong on the outside but you cannot help but see what lies underneath, every now and again you see little chinks in their armour where they both you let see little glimpses of the real them. I read this series piece meal, each Episode devoured in a few hours. I will leave below a few extracts from my reviews for each episode.
Episode 1 "This is going to be a series to watch out for!! In this book the foundations have been laid and the story is just beginning. Marni introduces us to two fantastic characters that are both flawed in their own way and it is this that makes them all the more intriguing. They are both strong on the outside but you cannot help but see what lies underneath, every now and again you see little chinks in their armour where they both you let see little glimpses of the real them. It is these little glimpses that keep you wanting more, wanting more for them, wanting them to let go, open up and most of all, see what really is right in front of them."

Frankie is a top real estate agent trying to land a big job Derek Block. She has worked most of her life with one goal, to take over her father's company. She know that this job is the way to do that and she can't make any mistakes. But when she goes to meet the mysterious Derek Block she never expected a rough looking giant of a man, that can melt her panties with one look.
Derek gets what he wants by using any means necessary, including his body. He has been after the person responsible for his father's death for years and he is finally closing in on making them pay. But now his attention is split between revenge and wanting to own Frankie.
This series was sexually charged and erotic as hell. Derek was so rough and controlling, I wanted to just jump him and give myself to him. He was completely taken by Frankie the first time he met with her and from there he pursued her in the most lavish of ways.
Frankie was so worried about making her father happy and being good enough to take over the family that she forgot to live for herself and no one else. Derek makes her take a step back from her life and realize she isn't going to make her father as happy as she wants. I liked her character and she was really fun when she wasn't all business.

DNF at 40%
There is erotica. And then there is a relentless wall of sex -- having sex, wanting sex, thinking about sex, talking about sex. This book was the latter.
It started off actually quite interesting and the two mains, Derek and Frankie, had a lot of sexual chemistry and heat. But somewhere around the second book that heat turned to just a constant hum of white noise. We literally could not go one single paragraph without somebody getting wet or getting hard or thinking about putting a dick somewhere or promising to ass fuck someone. I got soooooooooooooo bored. And it isn't just the fact that there was so much sex, it was also how it was written. It by turns written pornily, comically or tiredly cliche.
There was an actual story with a plot that if it got even a tenth of the page space of the bombardment of sex-talk would have been really interesting. I was intrigued by Frankie's issues with her ex. I thought it was a nice soapy surprise to discover the identity of the woman he cheated on her with. Derek's revenge mission had some teeth. But we'd get a dribble of plot and then we'd go back to pages of hearing about how much Derek wanted to tongue Franki'es clit or some such. And these people were supposed to be high powered, top of their game folks in the area of real estate and the whole premise was that Frankie was working with Derek to sell units in his big, showy new building. But by the time I tapped out she hadn't done anything. They were too busy clenching and moistening up to do anything else.
At some point I skimmed over Frankie's chapters because when she wasn't obsessed over sexy times with Derek she was spending time with her BFF whose sole purpose was to be her sexual cheerleader. This book would not not only not pass the Bechdel test, it would fail with an F-. I don't think her BFF made any conversation that wasn't somehow about Frankie's sex life with Derek. Or convincing her that Derek really wanted her.
Derek's chapters weren't as bad. But I'll forever think he's an asshole for texting while driving.

4 "Move Over Donald Trump" Stars! Arrogant, alpha hero lovers rejoice there is a new Dom in town and he's hot, unruly and knows just how to give women what they most crave. This serial also boasts a mild level of suspense to keep you on your toes. I definitely enjoyed the collaboration between Boston's top real estate agent, Frankie Jordan, and super star developer Derek Block in the Timber Towers series!

REVIEW AT BADANDDIRTYBOOKS
Damn!! This was such a good and an amazing read. I'm so glad I waited for the whole collection to be released, because I know I would have gone crazy waiting for the next episodes. It was that good!
But waiting for the collection to be released was also a test. I kept seeing teasers and reviews everywhere and they said the same thing. Hot! Amazing! Erotic! A Must Read!
And I AGREE!
I just loved and adored both Frankie and Derek. Equally as much. Their strength, passion and love for their job, family, friends and each other was what captured me. And it didn't let me go until I reached the final page.
Their heat and lust for each other was flawlessly written and I had to take a break at times. It was so erotic and I could feel their lust jump off from the pages. From the first page I was captured and intrigued.
Frankie is a heroine I just loved. So strong, sympathetic and really just a good person all around. True to herself, her needs and beliefs. Her relationship with Brea and Anna was beautiful, heartwarming and touching. Loved their scenes together and I could feel they shared a lot of history.
Derek Block. What a down to earth, real and loyal man. I couldn't get enough of him. His appearance was so sexually written. I could feel Frankie's attraction. He's just as loyal to family and friends as Frankie is. I love the different sides he shows Frankie. He can go from very demanding in a very sexual way to be this loving and caring man. Who's going to be there whenever he's needed.
Marni Mann knows how to write a compelling and interesting story with a lot of tension and heat. I didn't expect to be moved and sit with tears in my eyes but I was so invested in the characters and their story. I was obsessed and devoured every page and didn't want it to end.
Marni Mann is definitely an author I'm going to be following. This was just perfection all around.

Wow. Just wow.
Unblocked tells the story of Frankie Jordan. Frankie is the top selling realtor in Massachusetts - and we aren't talking homes for families. Big, huge corporate properties as well as high class living for the wealthy. Her father is the owner of the business, and she is working toward becoming the boss once he retires.
Derek Block is the builder you want to buy property from. He designs the best properties in the best areas, as well as overseeing the construction. His properties are top of the line - quality materials, quality work, with a safe working environment.
Oh and did I also mention he's an uber hot, lumbersexual? Flannels. Beard. And sexy as hell. He and Frankie together? BOOM. Okay, so I'm going on a bit more about Derek but c'mon - I'm a heterosexual female. I can't help it.
The two of them meet as Derek is completing work on his biggest project to date - Timber Towers. Derek hires Frankie to take on finding buyers for the property.
I can tell you right now that this is going to be one of my favorite reads of the year. It has everything - romance, ultra hot sex - that Derek has one dirty, dirty mouth. I am totally in LOVE. Anyway, I digress. You have a couple of baddies. Great supporting characters. Wonderful writing that tells a story that you find hard to put down because you want to find out how Frankie and Derek make everything work...but yet you are sad to see it all end. Because holy cow...that Derek...

Boy of boy am I happy I read this as a collection! I probably would have had to hurt someone if I had to wait for each one of these to release separately. Those cliffhangers were no joke!

Frankie Jordan is a real estate agent who is desperately trying to win her father over (and his company) by being the best, at everything. She’s the number one agent in the area, attractive, smart, great personality, but has been so focused on her career, she wasn’t prepared for Derek Block.
Derek is a developer who is a serious dominate. He throws himself into his work because he wants to be the best. Well…that and he’s seeking revenge. He needs Frankie’s help in selling his units in order to be the best in Boston, but he can’t get his head (both of them) to think about anything other than Frankie.
In this collection, you’ll find LOTS OF HAWT SEX, betrayal, lies, broken hearts and family drama. What you won’t find in this collection is disappointment. Seriously…I’ve been looking for something and the only thing that I could find was that toward the end of the story, there was almost too much sex. Wait….did I just say that? What the…?
Do yourself a favor and get the collection though. If you end up reading each one of these individually, you’ll kick yourself in a head. Because you won’t be able to think about anything other than the freaking cliffhanger you were just left with!!!

I can't believe I didn't read it before and yet I'm so glad I didn't. Waiting for the next episode would have killed me.
I adored, LOVED this series.

I loved this series. The storyline and characters were so "real" compared to the last few I've read lately.
Both Derek and Frankie was incredibly strong individuals. They had the perfect blend of strength and vulnerability and I loved them both for those characteristics.
In the beginning there was angst between them and their constant pull to one another but neither have in to quickly. The story built up to that in a way that when they finally did get together, it was sexy, passionate and explosive. Not once did they let it interfere with their career driven ambitions. Their feelings for each other actually made them stronger as individuals.
Derek was dominant but not controlling. He was kind but not weak. He was affectionate and sexy and I loved the fact that even though he was a upscale developer that made lots of money, he didn't wear a suit. He didn't let his clothing define him of use it to give off a persona he was trying to pull off. He was real and humble and worked so that his honorable reputation showed people the man he was.
As for Frankie, she was tough. She never let her relationship interfere with her career goals. She was independent, strong willed and extremely mature compared to most heroines I've come across. When she came across shocking news, she didn't jump to conclusions or go off the deep end, she faced it head on and would confront who ever she needed to. There was no wasting time with lack of communication.
They were both such admirable characters and were great in this series. The series was well rounded, exceptionally written and not over the top. It was a great read from start to finish.

With Derek’s revenge plans, Frankie’s overbearing ex, and quirky side characters devoted to our MCs, this honestly read like a spicy spicy SPICY k-drama (a compliment because I’m genuinely addicted to them).
Frankie and Derek’s relationship progressed so wonderfully throughout the book too. I enjoyed that Frankie was submissive (something Derek wanted) without being a pushover. And anytime she turned the tables and insisted on her way, you could just feel Derek falling a little deeper for her.

What a great series!
I'm a little disappointing it is over but then again I'm not one for 6, 8, or 9 books in a series. Short and sweet is how I like my series :)
A little slow to start but quickly picks up along the way....Mr. Block....Sir, you have one heck of a foul mouth and I think I love it!
That restaurant scene is something I will never forget as long as I walk into a restaurant lol
The love deep, the sex hot, the friendships close and the business....personal!
Frankie and Derek struggle to maintain their individuality and also fight a connection neither one of them can deny.
Secrets hidden deep will have to come out, trusts will be broken and truths told...can these two survive or are they doomed from the start?
Will Derek ruin Reed and will Frankie and Derek manage to connect completely? Or will their paths lead different ways.
Frankie and Derek get their stories out in the open and end up getting closer than ever in this book. Tragedy brings out the deep heart in Derek and it's amazing to watch how he takes over and knows exactly what is needed and when.
I was expecting a little more drama in this one but it didn't disappoint. I really can't say thought that I enjoy Will with Julia but I adore Brea and this girl needs her own book or story.

I loved Unblocked.
I am so glad I was able to read it in its entirety. I would have been biting my nails off waiting for the release of the next book. This is my very first read from this author. I am very impressed Marni Mann writing style. Unblocked has everything I look for in a great read.
I loved that you have two very strong minded, independent, career driven characters. It put them on a more equal playing field.
Frankie Jordan is the top-selling real estate agent in Massachusetts she works for her fathers company Jordan International. Working for her father has not given her a free ride or been easy for her.
Derek Block is the owner of Block Development. He is sexy, successful, wealthy, and he is in the market for an agent to sell his building.
When he commissions Frankie from Jordan International to sell his building he knows he is about to break all his rules. He wants one night and one morning with her. But will that be enough? Will either one of them be able to walk away?

I am so glad I was able to read it in its entirety. I would have been biting my nails off waiting for the release of the next book. This is my very first read from this author. I am very impressed Marni Mann writing style. Unblocked has everything I look for in a great read.
