Pick Six: A Fake Dating Sports Romance

What’s worse than playing a fake girlfriend to the all-pro defensive end for the Seattle Phantom?

When the same infamous playboy is my ex-husband’s best friend.

I’m normally great at keeping my distance from him—pretending like he doesn’t get under my skin. But after he punches a teammate over me, we’re stuck faking a relationship to save his career and mine.

If we play the game well, we could both get out ahead. I just have to remember everything about this is for show, including the reformed player act.

A few blurred lines and crossed boundaries won’t change things. Because falling for your ex’s best friend is wrong, right?

Audiobook Details
➤ Narration Style: Duet
➤ Narrators: Amy Hall and J.F. Harding
➤ Length: 9hr
➤ Produced by Lyric Audiobooks

The audiobook was phenomenal. I absolutely loved Amy Hall’s performance as Harper. She captured every facet of Harper’s personality and brought her emotions to life so beautifully. I especially loved those little moments when you could hear a smile or subtle laugh in her voice during Harper and Alex’s conversations, it added such a natural, authentic quality and made the story feel even more real.

I’ve listened to many audiobooks narrated by J.F. Harding, and he is always fantastic, so this was no exception. His voice is incredibly easy to listen to and has such a soothing quality, which perfectly complemented Alex’s caring side. But he also brought so much humour, emotion, and heat to the character when it mattered.

Together, Amy Hall and J.F. Harding brought Harper and Alex to life in a way that made the audiobook an absolute pleasure to listen to.

What you get
🏈 Ex-Husband's Best Friend
🏈 Fake Dating
🏈 He Falls First & Pines for Years
🏈 Dual POV
🏈 Prequel novella Defensive End

These were my first books by Maggie Rawdon, and I’m officially a fan! I started with the prequel novella Defensive End, which I’d definitely recommend reading before Pick Six. It added so much to the experience and made me even more excited for the main story.

And Pick Six… I absolutely loved Harper and Alex! I don’t think there was anything about them I would have wanted to change. I also love Fake Dating, so I was excited about this one.

There was undeniable chemistry between these two. You could feel the tension and passion, this along with the banter had me hooked. Another thing I really appreciated was the communication between the characters, it was so refreshing not having any unnecessary miscommunication thrown in “just because”. The storyline, progression, conflict and growth were all just handled so well. I loved how naturally their relationship developed.

And the spice! The kitchen, conservatory, table… and hot tub scenes (just to name a few)! Phew!

‘Forced’ to fake a relationship with the person you have been fighting your feelings for since the moment you met them?!? I knew this was going to be good because Maggie writes the best men down bad and I loved Harper and Alex from the moment I met them in Defensive End (the novella about how they met)

Alex, this man was down bad from the moment he met Harper and after an unforgettable kiss on the night they met he did not get over her, even when she married his friend. I absolutely loved Alex, how devoted, observant and protective he was, how he really saw her and the way he treated her, I have found my new favorite book boyfriend.

And Harper, the girl was is denial, how could she have walked away from Alex from that first night and why did she marry his friend? That is what I wondered in the first chapters. But things were not as they seemed and I loved the way things developed. The chemistry between these two was undeniable and I loved their little banter.

I have been in love with Maggies writing since the Quiet Horsemen series and the books tied to it and I can add her sports romance to my list of favorites now, because I am going to devour the rest of this series.

Narration:
I just love JF, he has such a nice voice to listen too, to me it is always kind of soothing but do not get me wrong because as Alex he also brought heat and lots of humor, I could not get enough.
The same goes for Amy, she has such a great voice and she brought Harpers struggles with her feelings really to life.
I loved them together!
