This a good book, straight from the creators. The latter chapters were a bit hard to follow, but the early chapters made it worth the read.

After reading the book, I created "A Stick Figure Guide to the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)" blog post following a sort of weird daydream I had of what it would be like to talk to Rijndael.
