Grave Stone
Whitney
When my ex-boyfriend called to tell me he’d found some of my things, I agreed to meet him for lunch. It turned out that Glenn didn’t have anything of mine. He wanted to meet so he could ask to borrow money. Then, he stole my wallet when I said no.
Admittedly, it was stupid to chase after him, but I did.
And ended up in a casket.
Stone
I was already on edge because our trusted employee was late with a delivery, and Johnny was never late. On top of that, it was a last-minute job with first-time clients.
When he finally arrived, I checked the casket, collected the payment, and sent him on his way. Then I heard a noise while I was counting the money—a thumping sound.
I cleared the entire building. Everywhere except the newest casket.
Taking a deep breath, I opened the lid, and she opened her eyes.

Well it was a huge departure from Brooke’s other work.
It was very rushed and there was a lack of character development.
The girl besties were the best part.

The more I read from the Grave Prowlers shared world, the more I appreciate how different each chapter can feel, and Grave Stone definitely gave me something I hadn't encountered before in an MC romance.
I mean... finding your FMC inside a casket is certainly one way to introduce your couple. 😂
The unusual setup immediately caught my attention, and from there, I really enjoyed discovering Stone and Whitney's story.
One of my favorite things was their relationship. Despite the rather extreme circumstances that bring them together, their romance isn't rushed. I really enjoyed the slower development between them and watching their connection build as Whitney becomes more involved in Stone's world.
Stone's protective side obviously worked for me—this is an MC romance after all—but I also liked Whitney as a character in her own right. Their personalities work well together, and their dynamic gave me plenty of moments I enjoyed.
The secondary characters were another highlight. Give me ride-or-die friendships, witty banter, and characters who are clearly going to drive the rest of the club absolutely crazy, and I'm happy. 😂 Those interactions added a lot of personality to the story and made me curious about spending more time with this chapter of the Grave Prowlers.
There was actually a lot here that I really enjoyed.
My main issue was that while the romance itself had time to develop, some of the story surrounding it felt a little rushed. There were elements I would have liked to see explored more thoroughly rather than moving on from them quite so quickly.
And then there was the ending.
Honestly, it didn't really feel like an ending to me.
I finished the book still having questions and feeling like I was waiting for more. I understand that this is the beginning of a series and some threads may be intended to continue into future books, but I still wanted a little more closure from this particular installment.
That's probably the biggest thing keeping this from being a higher rating for me, because otherwise I had a really good time with it.
Grave Stone has an unusual premise, characters I genuinely enjoyed, a slow-burn romance that worked for me, great friendships and plenty of entertaining interactions. Most importantly, it made the South Carolina chapter feel different enough that I'm curious to see what Teagan Brooks has planned for the rest of the series.
I just hope the next book gives me some of those answers I'm still waiting for.

This was quite a unique storyline for a MC. I’ve been enjoying these Grave Prowlers and how different they can be.
Whitney needs help. She was sent to be unalived but when Stone tracks her down, nothing is as it seems. He offers her protection without realising what he’s truly doing.
There was so much of this I loved, but I did feel like it was a little rushed. And the ending wasn’t really an ending, and left me with my questions that answers 😅
However, I loved the characters and the slow burn romance between Stone and Whitney.
Not to mention the ride or die besties, the witty banter and the way you know they’ll make the club groan collectively.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️
Storyline: 💥💥💥
Standout: Hadley

Despite being the 1st book in the series, I felt like I was reading a book that had others before it, which drove me nuts. It made me feel like I was missing out on something, making me almost dnf it a bunch of times. What kept me reading was I wanted to know who was behind "saving" Whitney. And with how things ended, I'll probably check out the next book to find out who the writer of the note is.
The romance part was meh for me. I did really like how Whitney was with her friends. They really had each other's backs and proved it time and time again. I also like the women in the club, they were funny and loved to flip shit to the guys of the MC.

Wow, what a thriller!
I'm shaking my head, because this one is a page turner unlike anything I have read recently. It is so full of suspicion, suspense and who done it. It is a fast read and I hope the follow up to this book comes out soon. Stone and Whitney are our main characters, along with members of the Powlers and her two close friends, they must unravel a mystery that Jas bodies dropping left and right. I highly recommend this book and gave it five stars. Join the killer and enjoy. Peace out.

Love a novella!
I was surprised that it was very funny and I hadn't anticipated it was going to be. I should've gotten the hint from the playful character road and business names 🤦♀️
Really great start to the series with a little teaser at the end.
Whitney and her friends are great characters and I look forward to reading more amusing banter.

very good
Whitney mets her ex-boyfriend, he is saying that he has some of her things. They have broke up, a year ago. She goes to met him, he wants to borrow money, she says no, he steals her wallet and takes off, she follows, and ends up in a casket, under her ex. Casket gets shipped to the club, Stone hears noises, opens it, gets hit in the face. She takes off running.

interesting
I enjoyed everything until the ending which was just too rush and did not flow with the rest of the story. It is a shame cause I was really enjoying. It was a good read. No HEA, no cliffhanger. This just needed a better ending…..

Stone and Whitney. This needed more. Like the prologue???? That was never mentioned again. You just let that drop? That could have been MAJOR.
