I really do like the story. I just felt like everything was rushed. All these amazing and terrifying things happen and Damon just basically shrugs his shoulders and accepts it all like no big deal. Other than that, I really want to find out what happens next.
The story itself is entertaining and the tone is fun, if a bit uneven in terms of characterization and pacing. Young guy discovers powers finds out he's the heir to an otherworldly realm with all the trimmings.
Significant issues on the editing side though, so that's something to be aware of if your bothered by those. As of the time of this there are no chapter breaks in the whole book. Lots of problems with homophones, the most common is using vail instead of veil.
Still, there is a fun read here if you can overlook the rough edges.
I started reading on a whim , fell in love with the potential but then came to enjoy the plot and all its twists and turns. The characters are a bit typical but some are such twists its a good thing. The book left me in suspense for the next one
While this book had some problems with structure and grammar, it's faults didn't really bother me. I loved the story, really liked the characters and think that the author built an interesting, multi-faceted world. Waiting for the next one in the series.
This series is well worth the to spent reading. It is hard to put down. The action is well covered, along with many romantic twist. Very enjoyable reading.
