It covers a lot of the Book of Moromon chapters. However, it does skip chapters. There is artwork throughout the book. Sometimes it will define terms in modern language. Sometimes it suggests verse to memorize. Before any selection of verses, it's subtitle is a main moral learned from those verses.
There are side textboxes like answers to a question, prophetic quotes, questions for the reader to ponder, charts, timeline at the top of pages, Did you know? boxes, character charts, etc. There are detail maps to help you follow travels and battles.

I loved having this book to study the Book of Mormon with my girls. It gave us a structure for Sunday’s family discussion. Unfortunately it is abridged to make it more readable to young readers but sometimes important verses or events are missing and my husband and I have to go to the original text to explain some of the missing elements to my girls. After each chapter we would watch the Line upon Line videos on youtube to supplement. With these two parts we were able to create a more enjoyable experience and better understanding for our girls then I was able to get in my childhood.

It took us 2 years to read through this as a young family because we had so much to talk about. I loved that it gives definitions all throughout, gives verses to memorize and lots of prompts and things to think about and do, and quotes the Book of Mormon instead of summarizing only. You don't read every single verse but definitely get most of it. We loved this and recommend it to all our young reader friends!

We started reading this book last year to prepare our son to be baptized. The book is a simplified version of the Book of Mormon, easier for our son to understand. I enjoyed the little activities throughout to engage our son. I also loved the quotes from prophets and other church affiliated persons throughout the book. A must own book.

Its a good book, but a little overwhelming to the kids reading it. I think it reminds them too much of a school workbook.

I used this for morning devotionals with my kids. It's very helpful, with quotes from modern-day leaders and explanations and visual aids.
