I enjoyed this very short alien story! It is a cliffhanger so go ahead and get both books from KU!
Total insta-love so be prepared.
I was worried at first I would not like the heroine, but I really did. She was smart, tough and sweet. The hero was super sweet. I may have liked him a little tougher. His species is pretty vulnerable and he seems to always be getting hurt. But he is still a tough alpha.
My only complaint - I am just having a hard time with a hero with gills....He sounded better over time, but at fist I was thinking ewwww!

I liked the characters. Their attraction is mutual from the first and they are both honest about it which leads to a lot of steaminess. The conflicts are easily resolved except for the biggest that ends on a cliffhanger of imminent death.

Cliffhanger, so not a complete book.
First 4 star because the way it ends. I dont consider it a complete book. It is well written with an excellent storyline. I would not buy book 1 without book2 because again it is not complete. I also give it 4 stars because this is not just a chapter but a story. You get a new race with a whole new set of weaknesses, think Atlantis. I think you will enjoy the sassy heroine.

A story with love, shivery, and bad guys one step ahead (unfortunately). This short story is filled with passion, adventure with reputable and insidious characters. This tale will leave you begging for answers on what happens next. Great read, high recommendation.

Not what I expected...
I loved the storyline in this the first installment of the "Alien Heart" series. I look forward to the next book anxious to find out what's going to happen to Kiele and Anji.
