TOO FUN. I mean, new great literature it is not. No amazing turns of phrase, here, so even though I kind of want to I won't give it five stars. But the classic story ... well. I am a geek fan. The classic story is here and the illustrations are loads of fun.
You know you are a super fan/nerd when you get super excited that Little Golden book has come out with the Star Wars series. It is what it is and i loved it. Me thinks Stars Wars Little Golden book is something everyone can appreciate, enjoy they will.
These Little Golden Book adaptations of Star Wars, episodes 1-6 do a serviceable job of fulfilling their raison d'etre, which is to allow parents of a certain generation to bring their young progeny up to speed on the basic characters and plot of the Star Wars films in preparation to actual viewing of the films at a later, more age-appropriate date. In fact, the flat, stylized semi-cartoonish illustrations go a touch above-and-beyond and are rather charming in their own right.
