More finely rendered poems of attention from my favorite living poet. As Cairns says, this collection show "the results of my writing to see what I didn't know to see, to say what I didn't know to say."
Cairns reminds us that without a surprise for the writer, there's no surprise for the reader. There is much here to surprise the attentive reader.
