A fun graphic novel. I enjoyed returning to
The My Little Pony world and the characters in it. I’m very exited to continue this series.

Another exhilarating book! I enjoyed all of the stories especially the final one. This is why I love MLP: FIM.

Some cute fun stories but that's about it. Not incredibly deep. The artwork in the first one was also just not my preference, so that detached me a lot.

Less organic and fun than some other comics for younger readers that I've experienced recently, like Lumberjanes. This was much more of a slog, and the individual stories super long. However, my three-year old daughter loved it. Even when I'm not reading it to her, she sits with the book at nap time and looks at the pictures.

Pony wrestling matches, a town vs. country feud over the first structure in Ponyville, and Night of Living Apples with vampire ponies to the rescue. Some great selections in this issue. Alice likes the killer apples from the last story the best, especially when they lead to Flutterbat. This one had a very sweet lesson at the end from Princess Celestia, who has to explain why they should give the apples their own land and another chance:
"Everyone had bad aspects to their personality. Ego. Vanity. Stubborness. And more. These are all part of us. But if we work hard enough and we truly want to, we can strive to rise above that ... Our tendencies inform us, but we must not let them control us."

The first story had a really terrible artwork that made me cringe, the story itself was also very badly written. The first two parter was about the dispute between whether Sweet Apple Acre or Rarity's boutique was the first building in Ponyville, all hell broke loose when people joined either party. The last two parter was kinda fun, but it was non-canon.

With these last two volumes I haven't laughed as much as I did with the previous ones, but I enjoyed it better than the previous one

3.5 stars. A bit of a hit and miss, but the bad apples story was quite good.
