Conflicted

Ok I'm sorry, but I'm so conflicted about this book. I loved Thunder & Scottie. I loved that there wasn't an issue with a sweet butt or whatever they call them in this series, but I had a huge problem with her family. None of it made sense! You're trying to tell me these parents just accepted what the other child, yes, child because that's how she acted, said? No questions? No looking into things for yourself?! Come on now, you can't be serious! I could understand them thinking she may have been jealous with the whole Kavan thing. Though, that was still crappy of them, but to take her word on everything else?! They knew she was in college! Did they really think you'd need a college degree to be a janitor? No offense to janitors. She would have still needed to graduate high school & the school would have been in contact if she hadn't been going. IT DIDN'T MAKE SENSE!!! If you take that part out & his sister's rudeness out, it's a great book.

This one does make me question a few old ladies though. I no longer like Sophie or Brit. I don't understand how this author wrote this book & just tore the image of the other old ladies. I don't care what they went through. It's no excuse. If anything they should have been more understanding! It was like every book, the old lady from the previous book, who you felt deserved an HEA, didn't deserve it for how they acted to the other ladies that became an old lady. I really struggled to keep on reading the series because every book after destroyed my view of the previous old lady. The men, while, yes, were stupid, but you loved them eventually. Sorry for the long review, but like I said, I'm very confused on this. If you can overlook the whole parent thing, then this is a great book. I'd only recommend, if you can & the typos. However, I loved Thunder & Scottie. Would be open if the author does a series from their kids, but it would need done right. On to the next!

Amazing

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Oh how I love you C.L. McGinlay and your writing. 🖤

It was such a nice surprise to come back to thunder’s story. Each time he popped up in the Rebels MC series, you couldn’t help but love him with all the crazy things he did to keep his brothers from leaving.

Now was his time to leave, he needed to go get his head straight. So spends some time with the Untamed MCs.
Was really nice to go back and have the other characters back in the book.
But like always when a biker falls. They fall hard and fast. So when thunder meets Scottie that is it for both of them.

I really liked Scottie, love it when the FMC’s are feisty and independent and that what she is. Along with becoming a doctor she also has to look after her nephew. She Is very likeable and her and thunder are well suited.

As always Charlotte brings the drama and suspense and you are always routing for the couple.
Loved it. Also make me want to read them from the start again.

Can’t wait for more books. 🖤

Author sticks to her tried and tested formula.

Nice to have an ending to the Rebels MC but honestly after reading the other books in the series I could have guessed 90% of the storyline before I read the first page. The storyline holds no surprises and is very formulaic. The author’s earlier works were new with interesting storylines but this one basically follows the same worn pattern of MML & MFL fall in love at first sight, MML has a fractious relationship with his mother and a father who knows this but does nothing about it. MFL has a jealous sister/best friend who lies to parents/friends about MFL and fancies MML. MFL gets kidnapped/attacked. MMF tampers with MFL birth control to manipulate her. I could go on but you get the idea. As my 3 star review indicates not a bad book but nothing to write home about either. Hopefully the author will get back to writing books with more storyline originality than churning out a rehash of well trodden storylines

Hates women?

I'm not sure what the deal is, but it seems as though the author does not like women, the female side characters are always sneery bit@%, and even if the males start out the same, somehow they learn the right way and are forgiven, even main female characters from other books are now antagonists in this book and are portrayed as dumb, vapid, conniving trouble makers, while their men all come across as completely reasonable. Even in past books, the mfc starts out as completely normal, healthy, and nice, then she meets the mmc, he hurts her, and she either has something horrific happen to her, and she loses the plot and then somehow it ends up being her fault or partially her fault. Why the women hate and bashing?

Perfect Thunder

Thunder needed his own chance to shine and this book did not disappoint. The heartbreak you feel for both leads in the beginning makes their ending even better. The growth of parents is a important because it shows the need to apologize to your children when wrong. Amazing and so glad although his story wasn't in her original plans she gave her readers what we begged for

Must Read

As always I was sucked in from the first page!
Thunder finally got his own HEA! Thunder is the glue that held everyone together in some inventive ways but in the end he needed to find himself and along the way finds his one. Scottie has been put though h*ll from her family but especially her sister. Scottie's nephew is a sweetheart and of course the Rebels and Untamed MC has appearances. A definite must read!!

If you read it as a standalone and are not familiar with the other series, it’s good.
But as an aficionado of this author, I read this book and felt like it was a mix of all her other storylines. Apart from him going solo riding, all the rest reminded me of one of the other series!
Disappointed but still enjoyed the banter between the brother and their wives/sisters.

When the FMC is as obsessed as the MMC…

Thunder - what a sweetie you are. All green flags and smiling faces.
I love the nickname given to Scottie (Treasure), it really suits her.
I loved that they were both obsessed with each other.
Boy did her family make me and at the beginning, SOME of them redeemed themselves at least!
Loved the epilogue the most!
