Drawn to Seattle by the pull of black magics, Ella brings her wrath. A trail of blood and violence left in her wake.
By chance, Parker Devareau, meets Ella while rushing home to get behind the safety of her Full Moon Bars on a full moon night. Parker can see, hear and feel things that no ordinary person can.
When Ella saves Parker from a breach of the protective city walls caused by the druids, Parker sees something beyond the impression of a schizophrenic with multiple personalities who is constantly talking to someone who is not there. And the truth breaks her heart.
The women stand together with the Red Hood and Gretta Snow to save the people of the city who perceive them all as monsters.

I'm a huge fan of this author and series. His characters are strong, independent women that keep me interested and crushing on. This story line is full of excitement and carries a more serious tone in sections then the previous in this series. Ella and Marie are hilarious and complete contradictions that had me laughing numerous times. Parker is so incredibly sweet and understanding. I love that in each of these books in the series we see the characters in the previous. I highly recommend this author and series and will continue to one-click purchase his work.
This is for the audible edition with Hollie Jackson as narrator. I love these stories. You need to read (or listen) to them in order as each one introduces the next character to be written about. Hollie Jackson is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Seriously...you should consider listening just for her performance!!
Great story, I am truly enjoying this new series. The new cast of characters were fun to get to know and the old cast were great to see again. Ella and Parker's time together along with Marie, was entertaining and hard to put down.
“Wow Ella, you're the first fairytale princess I've met that doesn't eat their meat raw.”
Ella snapped with venom, “We're not a bloody princess!”
I've finished Snow's story thinking, "wow, how the hell is the author going to top that one?" Just when I thought I'd seen the best, Ella threw me out of my seat, I think I even like Ella Marie's story more than Snow, but I think Red/Daria are still my favorite being my -first love- and all but I'm no longer a hundred percent sure about that. Anyways, I really liked the backstory in this one and seeing our six girls fighting one another (at first, ha!) and beside each other makes my heart weep with joy and makes me want to shout, "my babies!" like an overproud mom watching her kids at a play. The writing is still spectacular, you won't feel your reading the story, it'll take you to the story itself, you're beside them, you're with them, feeling the same feels, hearing and seeing the same things. The writing takes you to a different world and you'll never want to come back. I never wanted to finish reading but at the same time I'm restless to know what will happen next. The ending was greatly done, building just the right amount of excitement for the next character and book. Please, don't tell me Rose would be the last, I can't accept that. I, we, need more. :(
Continuing after the second "Urban Fairytales" book, "Snow: The White Crow" in Seattle, Parker Devareau accidentally encounters the mysterious Druids that have eluded "The Red Hood" and "Snow". This attracts the attention of a woman claiming to be "Ella Smith" who appears to openly talk to an unheard voice as well as the Seattle Police who have recently focused on "Paranormals" other than the lupines that have plagued the world for centuries.
As the ongoing plot continues, the development of Parker and her relationship with Ella is presented along with revealing Ella's background. This is all brought together nicely leading up to the climax of this story.
As with the previous two books, Ella's story is not only revealed to be the source of popular fairytales but turns out to be much darker than the previous two. While giving insight into Ella's character, it also establishes who the collective protagonists are up against.
I enjoyed the progression of the main story in this book as well as the new characters and their relationship. They add to the characters introduced in the previous books with the potential to make for an unusual and interesting dynamic.
Loved this one. Very exciting and entertaining. Couldn't put it down. Another awesome twist to a fairy tale. Talk about split personality. As expected, Erik continues to entertain us with his words. Can't wait for Rose. This is third in a series. Read them all, they are great stories.
Once again an good continuation of the Urban Fairytales story line. Outside of the stories being a bit short it is another fun series. On thing I have noticed since I have been marathoning a lot of Mr. Schubach's books via Audible as of late, is the lack of contractions. I have gotten used to it and I find it a neat quirk to his stories. (Do not be afraid of the word don't or it's. LOL I cannot help but smile a bit as it is fun to pick out in the stories)
