Former U.S. Special Forces operator, Eric Ketch, seeks to find and destroy a source of Southeast Asian heroin that mysteriously turns up in the States during the late 1970s, just when the drug enforcement authorities there thought they shut down that supply chain, following America’s withdrawal from Vietnam.

Ketch chases down leads as well as exotically beautiful women in Hong Kong and Thailand, however, he finds that things are not what he assumed them to be, including some of the women.

The authorities consider Ketch’s methods “unsound” and want him off the case, but he has other ideas.

The thriller describes the drug trade in Southeast Asia as well the organization of the local gangster society known as the Triads. Although a work of fiction, it is written with the authority and local knowledge of an author who did his own chasing around Southeast Asia as a journalist during that period.
