Bea thinks she has a normal happy marriage, but her husband Jason has a secret, he wants Bea to sleep with another man. Initially skeptical, Bea soon finds a man she desires and from that point on events spiral out of Jason's control. His fantasy becomes the catalyst for changes that he could never have foreseen as Bea gives herself more and more to her new lover. Told from both perspectives, this story takes the reader through the emotional roller-coaster of cuckold angst endured by Jason and the passionate and deviant awakening of Bea's true sexuality.

This book starts with a man watching his wife be driven away from their house by her lover and then goes back as to how those circumstances came about. Bea and Jason are the married couple in question, their story is told from the perspective of both the husband and the wife, in alternating chapters. I usually like that way of telling a story as you get both sides of events and the emotions involved, but it is difficult for an author to take on two personalities and sadly E.B.Wood does not quite pull it off.

The husband and wife fall into their respective cuckold and cuckoldress roles a little to easily to make this a particularly compelling or memorable story. There are some quite good sex scenes and some interesting dialogue that could have been expanded to make the book a more enjoyable read. There are a few small errors and typos, the first of which occurs on the first page which did not make for a very auspicious beginning.

I understand there is a follow up book “Losing control 2” I may well come back to that at another time.

This is an unapologetic cuckold story. Jason has encouraged Bea to find another man, and when she does he has to accept the fulfillment of his dreams. It's more challenging than he imagined, and Wood's story does a fine job of switching between Bea's and Jason's points of view to both tell the story and help readers see the inner conflicts and excitements that come with becoming and making a cuckold. Bea doesn't pull any punches in narrating her side of the story--she finds that she enjoys both the sex with a new, more-gifted lover and her growing power over Jason. Jason, meanwhile, is coming to grips with the fact that what was always his fantasy is now his wife's reality, and that can mean that reality doesn't always match the fantasy. His angst is palpable in the story--much more convincing than other novelettes of this type. Through it all, the couple remains close and loving--even if their relationship is being fundamentally remolded. I'll await the next episode eagerly.
