This was my second Jane McBride book in two days. I need to keep better track of Jane's newest books. I love the fact that Jane's characters were using modern technology to do research on one of her character's ghost, and family. I am into genealogy, so I related to this. I liked the cat, Potbelly's role as the creature who helped the old ladies see the ghosts. Jane said she used some of her own relatives as character's in this book, which was fun and interesting. I love Jane's books and characters.

When you jump into any of Jane McBride's books you are in for a wild ride of laughter, intrigue, and memorable characters, and Asylum Song is no different! I'm always jumping at the chance to read Jane's next book, and the moment this one came into my hands, I was hooked. I love the quirky characters, Porkbelly the cat, as well as an interesting story that always leaves me wanting the next book. You enter the story with our lovely Alice, an elderly lady who happens to see ghosts who need help. The story unfolds with laughs as well as very intense parts. The poor ghost she meets is a woman who was sent away to an Asylum, and you go with Alice and Porkbelly as they unfold the mystery. I'm telling you I'm a huge fan of Jane, and I love the way she puts everything together for her readers. If you enjoy fun characters, a well written story, and loads of laughs, you have to read Jane's books.
