I liked this book and its intriguing plot with the brujo. It took place in Santa Fe rather than Arizona where the movie with Suzanne Somers was filmed. There was a lot of local color and the spiritual aspects of the mystery were tied in nicely. You can watch the movie via YouTube. But read the book for the full impact. Suspenseful and interesting reading.

I liked the idea of where the author wanted to take the reader, it just never got there. The writing style seemed ameatuerish. I did like the premise though.
