Fallen Axe
In the mountain kingdom of MarakDum, becoming a warrior isn't a choice - it's a Trial.
Thorin Ironbeard has trained his whole life for this. Under the guidance of his mentor, the smith Aldric, and with his family's honor riding on every strike, Thorin steps forward to prove himself worthy of the axe. But the Trials are only the beginning.
Deep beneath the mountain, something ancient has begun to stir - a tremor in the second shaft, a wrongness in the air that no dwarf can explain. As Thorin marches from the ceremonial grounds of home to the blood and ash of Durnwall and the walls of Stonewatch, he discovers that the rage burning in his own blood - the Ironbeard rage - is older and more dangerous than any enemy he'll face on the battlefield.
War. Family. Bloodline. And a darkness clawing its way up from beneath MarakDum's roots.
Fallen Axe is the first book in the Dwarven Berserker Saga - a story of trials, brotherhood, and the price of becoming what your blood demands you to be.
