They survived the shipwreck. Now they have to survive each other. Stranded on a remote island, the ballet dancers and fighters are still trapped together, still fighting for their lives—but nature is no longer their greatest threat. It's each other. Secrets, lies, and betrayal begin to unravel everything they've fought to hold together. As danger closes in from beyond the shoreline, they have no choice but to stand side by side. But with every truth exposed and every loyalty tested, forgiveness becomes harder to find. So many lies. So many secrets. Everything is coming apart at the seams. Yet they still need each other. To survive. To get home. In a world where loyalty is earned in blood and love comes at a deadly price, one thing is certain... Not everyone will make it off the island alive.
After reading and enjoying the first book and that cliffy, I couldn't wait to dive back into this world again. This picked up right where the previous book left off, finding out that the boys were in on what was going down definitely had me intrigued how things would pan out with this group of marooned elite dance students.
This had a few nail biting moments some over the top when it came to obliterating unwanted new arrivals, but made for good reading if you could get over how unrealistic it all felt.
Kellan pitting two girls against each other and the divide it created in the group definitely added more drama to the storyline.
It does end on another cliffy and I'll totaly download that in KU once its available just to see how it all ends.
OMG!!! You’re killing me with these cliffhangers!!
Our story might have started rocky, but slowly, I feel like it is all crumbling down to reveal an utterly beautiful mountain.
I’m not mad about getting more of this story because it’s one of those can’t put it down adventures that is blowing me away.
These survivors have already been through the wringer. As long as the bad guy gets what’s coming to him and there is a happy ending in the next book I’m good.
The way he always holds me—like someone who knows how to fight, but also like someone who could shatter if you dropped him hard enough.
Grace and crew are still stranded on the island, but when a pirate ship crosses the islands path not once, but twice, they took their chance and hijacked the ship.
There are a few spots where it says something, and the next detail is completely different. For example, when Grace and Ace enter the pirate ship and they’re going through the rooms, it says two guys and then it says there were three guys when the author goes into detail about detaining them. There were a couple other spots where the details are different than what they originally said.
Dance Practice, Marooned is full of suspense, secrets and betrayal! I enjoyed the characters and all the secrets between them! And that cliffhanger?!
