Alice in Zombieland (White Rabbit Chronicles #1) - Five Stars I put off reading this book because I just didn't think I would enjoy it...boy was I WRONG!!! As usual Gena created an amazing world, different and unique from any other one you have explored. These are not your typical zombies and if you are anything like me and just don't think you want to read another zombie story you should think again and give it a try! I promise you will not be disappointed!!!
Through the Zombie Glass (White Rabbit Chronicles #2) - Five Stars Another epic adventure for Ali & Cole!!!
The Queen of Zombie Hearts (White Rabbit Chronicles #3) - Five Stars Ali is more powerful than ever in the latest battles between light and dark but that doesn't stop her heart from being permanently broken and her life from forever changing. I cried my eyes out and then when I thought I'd finally stopped I cried again and again and again!!!
To be 100% honest, i was 12 when i fisrt read Alice in Zombieland (#1) and i had to read it again a few years later because i didn't understood a damn thing.
You do not need to be a fan of fantasy or zombies stories to fall in love with this saga. From the general plot to the characters devellopment, everything is well thought. 1° : The main problematic stay logic during the 3 volumes evn for the second book that may be a bit too fantasist when it comes to Alice, the female main character. Cole is the the bad boy by excellence. If it's true that he is a bit too rough and cold during the first volume, he's definitly the best bookboyfriend i've seen so far in the next books. He's so devoted to his love interest and caring about his relatives, you cannot not appreciate him !
A very good point too : The side charcters have a strong importance and are not rushed in the process of writing. Gena Showalter really did prove it by writen her 4th book of the chronicles of the White Rabbit ( A story between two side characters , no spoil don't wry ). And this last story (#4) does not erase the genius of the main saga ( remember that you have to read the trilogy to read it tho).
The deepness of the feelings we share with the characters during the reading really is a lecture of empathy and humbleness. From a philosophy point of view i'd say that my humanity has been challenged :
" Never forget that evil is evil. You cannot change it. You cannot lead it to the light. But, if you let it, evil can lead you to the darkness.” Alice-Bell ― Gena Showalter, Alice in Zombieland
BUT BUT BUT
I cannot let you go by this review without adding the incredible sense of humour that lights up this banger !!!
Here's an exemple :
“Don't look now, but that's my ex over there." Surely I'm not the only one who takes "don't look now" as "there's no better time than now." I looked. "Bad, Ali!" Another slap to my arm. "Bad, bad, bad Ali! Have you no self control?”
― Gena Showalter, Alice in Zombieland
To wrap this up i'd add,
Please i'm begging you to read it so that we could talk about it :( !!!!!!
been rereading this series (book 1-3 nr 4 doesnt exist in my head sorry not sorry) every year since like 2014.. just truly comfort at this point like where is my cole holland?!
Even though the book held a lot of typical archetypes and plot point, I thoroughly enjoyed it and still after years hold it dear to my heart. It was because of it cheesy plot and characters why it was so enjoyable. To me it held this easy but entertaining vibe which tempted me to read the entire series in a go. My crush on cole and frosty definitely helped. The side character were fun te read and the drama could be a bit too much, but it’s still a YA. The main character was basic in my opinion and very ‘main protagonist’ like, obviously. But it fit the rest of the story who held onto their chosen archetype.
If you like cheesy stories then this is an absolute banger in my opinion

I literally have no words to describe how in love I am with this series. The characters have so much dimension and so much trauma that you can't help but fall madly in love with them all. Don't even get me started on the plot! It's so unique and so thrilling that, at certain scenes, your heart begins racing and you're left on the edge of your seat. And, if it's romance you're after, then this book is most definitely for you. The chemistry between the MCs, Ali and Cole (the loml), is so addictive and I'm certain that Cole will make it onto your book boyfriend list in a matter of pages. The enemies to lovers most definitely helps with that! ;)
Gena Showalter did an outstanding job on writing this book. The White Rabbit Chronicals is my all itme favorite book series. I am hooked on htis book I have read the fisst four at least four times each. Im glad I read this book I really felt likeI was actually in the book, it was like a home away from home. I will definetly be rereading this book more times than I can count. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
I started reading this series in early September 2017 and by tomorrow 10/20/17, I will have finished all 4 books in the series. The books and the characters are addicting. There is so much beneath the surface of these books. Nothing at all what I expected, but Gena is an author that surprises me time and time again. These are characters that you will fall in love with, you will laugh and cry with them.
I liked this more than I expected, although there is very little Alice to it. Zombies, plus Alice, plus teenage dream equals winner. :D Cole. You're a babe. I'm glad Ali got a little Alice-like in the second one, and that a smidge more AIW references were present. I might not like zombies, but I sure like the answer I've given this week when being asked what I'm reading. Alice in Wonderland vs. Zombies has been interesting on people's facial expressions.
This was one of my favorite book series in middle school and got me interested in reading. I recently reread the books so I could read the fourth one that came out. I love how it gives a little bit of everything with romance, thrills, suspense, and so on. Every time I read the books it feels like I have an action movie playing in my head. Highly recommend!!
Alice in Zombieland, what could describe this book. How about interesting and funny. It wasn't anything like the real one. Alice falls down the zombie hole and has to learn to fight the undead or she'll never escape. I'd recommend it to young teens.
I absolutely love this book. From the very beginning I was hooked and could not help but finish the series in the matter of a couple of days. I would definitely recommend this book and am hoping to get it very soon.
Omg I love this series! I love Gena Showalter's books and the White Rabbit Chronicles do not disappoint. She sucks you into a world you don't want to leave because you form attachments to the characters. A must read on every level!!!
I loved these books because of course, they had angsty drama for teens but also a lot of battles and fighting. made me cry at one point ( if you have read it you know the part) I would love to read again sometime.
My teenage self loved this series and loved Ali & Cole. My current self couldn't even get through book one - I had to stop after a couple of pages, because I just couldn't take it. The insta-love in this one is just too much.
I was surprised at how much I loved this teen read series. An interesting concept to wrap your head around in regards to the zombies. My husband got mad constantly because I was always with my nose in a book when I was reading this one.
I have recently revisited this book and still love it, ive read it afew time and once again the goosebumps from the romance, the tension between peers, the descriptions of zombie battles. This book does not disappoint
This series has been one of my favorites for a very long time. I've always loved Alice in Wonderland themed stories, but this one has always been my favorite!
This is one my favorite YA series. I loved how zombies, and zombie hunters worked. The characters were (mostly) likeable, and the world building was interesting. The side characters were a bit more interesting than the lead, but overall a great series. There's an epilogue that let's you check in on the characters after the events of the series as well as a novella set during the 2nd half of the series.
So I already did a review but that was on Alice in Zombieland as an individual book. But yeah, you can either read that again or I'm just going to repeat myself because it's worth repeating...
I LOVE THIS SERIES. I have laughed. I have cried. I have lost sleep over this series and non-stop obsessed over everything going on as I kept continuing. It's never-ending romance and action; the perfect combination don't you think?
Just finished the fourth book today and I'm sad it's over...
I loved the books and have been reading since the beginning of summer, even before summer till the next school year at the end of the school year. I just loved reading it it just makes me want to read over and over. DON'T WE ALL AGREE THAT IT SHOULD BE MADE INTO A MOVIE/ T.V SHOW *EXCEPT KAT AND EMMA DIEING! hint hint.

A completely different take on zombies, and probably not the book for people that enjoy the classic brain-eating zombie (e.g. resident evil). Saying that, I enjoyed the writing style and engaged with the characters - wanting to know how it all would end. I recommend all 4 of the novels in the White Rabbit Chronicles.
