Schreiter is the author or editor of twenty-seven books, with contributing chapters in 140 other volumes. He is past president of the American Society of Missiology and of the Catholic Theological Society of America.

This book provides the best short treatment of this difficult topic. It deals with justice, accountability, forgiveness and reconciliation among victims of violence and their perpetrators, the oppressed and their oppressors. It's a short read and well worth any time one can put into this important topic.
