I have read almost all of Ms McKay’s books, and this one knocked it out of the park–it’s her best yet!
The story is about Hailey, a young coffee barista whose younger brother is in trouble with some drug dealers. He owes them a huge pile of money and his life is in danger, so Hailey decides to enter a submissive auction at Fetishes, the local BDSM club because she’ll receive half the money that’s bid on her. Nevermind that Hailey’s never set foot in a BDSM club before and has no idea what she’s in for, other than having read a few kinky romance novels!
Obviously, she’s in way over her head, and luckily Tom, a dominant who is helping to vet the submissives before the auction, realizes it. He sends her home, but naughty Hailey disobeys him, and enters herself in the auction anyway. Tom, being the sweet, stand-up guy that he is, tells his best friend Adam to bid on her if she shows up. And so our dear, naive heroine ends up with not one master for the weekend, but two.
I adored the good cop/bad cop dynamic between Tom and Adam as they play with their little sub. Adam pushes Hailey’s boundaries while Tom checks in with her, reassures and reminds her she has a safe word. The threesome dynamic makes for an interesting plot twist all on its own, even without the gripping story line of the on-going danger Hailey faces with her brother’s enemies. I loved the way the two men yielded power to one another, paying as much attention to their friend’s cues as their sub’s. There are some awesome moments as all three of them negotiate a new dynamic. And, of course, the threesome sex is scorching hot. This is definitely a one-handed read, if you know what I mean!!
This book is a double thumbs’ up for me for heat-level, story line, in-depth characterization, and overall quality of writing. Treat yourself and grab this book right now!

I really enjoyed this story and was planning to give it 4 solid stars for interesting characters, hot bdsm scenes, and strong writing. Then it just sort of ended leaving too many unanswered questions and unresolved plot lines for my liking. It does have a happy for now type resolution, which would be fine if not for the other loose ends, the main the main one being what happened with Hailey's brother? There are also a few side characters whose story needs to be filled out in my opinion.
In many ways the ending appears to set up for a series, which I wouldn't mind at all, but there is no indication another book is planned. I liked this author's writing style and her mechanics are solid. She did a great job engaging this reader's interest and I cared about each one of the main characters (although more backstory on Adam would have been nice). I will definitely give another of her books a try.

Mastered by Casey McKay is a really sweet intense read. I like how BDSM is introduced to add another layer to an already great story. Tom is recently divorced. He is pretty jaded about women right now. He is a lawyer, his long hours might have contributed to his wife leaving. He also now works at a BDSM club as a doctor. Well a play doctor.
Adam is Tom’s friend. He also is a photographer. He gets roped into going to the BDSM auction to buy Hailey. Once he sees her he knows he too wants her. Adam is more of a ladies’ man. He can appreciate Hailey’s pure spirit.
Hailey, she was told by her friend she could make some money by auctioning herself off at a BDSM club for charity. She would get half of whatever she pulled in for money. Her brother owes drug dealers a great deal of money, she figures this is a good way to get it quick. So what if she knows nothing about BDSM. She has had fantasies and wants to be mastered. She just isn’t sure she is ready for both Adam and Tom.
As these three find their way to the truth of why Hailey was auctioning herself off they learn a lot about each other. Tom is the lawyer who has to learn to trust women again. He is gentle and sweet where Adam is more hard core and straight forward. They are the perfect men for a shy gentle soul like Hailey.
I really loved this story and was sorry to see it end. I will be looking for more stories by Ms. McKay in the future. If they have the heart and soul that this one has I know I will love them.

I was looking for a hot menage story, something to melt my panties, and Casey McKay's story about a new submissive with two yummy dominant men did not disappoint. In fact, it's the menage scenes that really shine in this spicy story. The BDSM practices and the dungeon featured in the story were written expertly and offered a fantastic framework to the actual sex. The dominance/submission aspect of the story gradually escalated, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the two men put Hailey, the new sub, through her paces. (It was super satisfying to have Hailey punished for lying, because I wanted to punish her for it too. lol) The author created real characters that fostered real emotion in me as the reader, and if Tom and Adam existed in real life, I would give them my number in a nanosecond.
