Heart disease. Cancer. Strokes. When scientists find a cure, the human lifespan doubles... and so does the population. As resources deplete, competition turns desperate, then violent. For Oscar and Sanoja, a cure can only do so much. In this fierce new world, to truly live for longer, they'll have to fight to survive.
Less a story, more a musing on the nature of death. There is a decent enough plot, there are interesting characters, but the overriding theme is death and their approach to it. Struggling to survive in a dystopian world, survivors from across the globe are looking for a new home. If you want to laugh, read my earlier works. This is a tragedy, and the only joke is how pretentious it is. There is a bit of an info-dump to set the scene, but otherwise the book runs fairly smoothly, with decent pacing. It could be interesting, if not "enjoyable".
