Christiana McKenzie, Chris to her friends, was at her wits end. She and her sister, Angel, were born witches. Their mother had warned them that to use their powers would bring on another witch hunt, and they’d risk being burned, just like their ancestors. Whether or not Chris wanted a mate or not was irrelevant, Joey wasn’t letting her out of his sight. And when she found out that her mother had lied to her―she wasn’t an ordinary witch―and that others would come to try to possess her. If they couldn’t do that, then they would kill her to possess her powers―she needed help.
The Bentleys ban together to save one of their own, but will it be enough? Can they even fight the powerful magic that’s targeting Chris and Joey?

Book two in the Bentley Legacy series is just as magnificent as the first.....this read has it all...a vampire, witches, super hot sexy panther shifters, strong female characters, and lots of hot steamy sex! What more could you ask for in a book, right?!!
Joseph Bentley is a lawyer, but longs to do other things. He makes the decision to retire from law and build a house of his own and raise horses. He has no idea what wonderful things are just around the corner.
Christiana McKenzie is a witch, as her sister Angel was....and a very strong one at that. When she comes looking for the man, Micah Bentley, the shifter her dead sister said was holding something for her.....Chris gets much more than she bargained for. Turns out she is Joey's mate!
I really loved this story....a romance of the best kind, full of excitement at every turn and enough steamy love scenes to make your blood boil and your heart melt!

Coming into book two of Kathi S. Bentley's "Bentley's Legacy" series finds Micah questioning a young woman about a money discrepancy. He really doesn't get a lot of answers from Angel except that he should arrest everyone within the circle. Then right in the middle of the conversation, Angel is being shot at and Micah is covering her body in order to protect her. Micah has seen a sigal on her hand but has no idea what it or she is except that she's not fully human. As Angel lays there dying she explains to Micah she's going to give him something to hold for her sister and then sends instructions to Chris, her sister, to contact Micah, he has something for her. Not knowing who or where this Bentley was, who knew there were so many of them, it takes her a while to track him down and eventually to meet. But they're taken to Joseph, aka Joey, Bentley's ranch. Naturally, being a panther, Joey knows immediately she is his mate. Chris wants no part of it. She just wants to get what her sister left her and return home. She and her step-father are suffering the loss of her sister, near financial ruin because of the grandmother's will, plus the overwhelming anxiety of a co-worker at the law office where they work. It's a fast-paced nail-biter at times with all the chemistry of a shifter romance. Add in the personalities of this loud Bentley family, witches with astronomical power, a demon or two, and a leader of the Underworld and we have a terrific page-turner.

Excellent!
Joseph was tired of working in the law firm where he was at & wanted to be a horse rancher & do attorney work for himself.
Christiana "Chris" McKenzie is a witch but she just doesn't know how powerful she is yet; she finds out when she meets Joseph or Joey as the family calls him.
Chris' sister Angel died saving Micah & when she did she also have him her magic to hold for her sister. Chris didn't know how to get the magic out of Micah & called on Myra, another witch to help her out. The only thing that I will tell you about Myra is that she's colorful.
This book was excellent as it (at least for me) ties another series together perfectly. There is a good vs bad plot in this book, some sex scenes, lots of magic, some deaths of a family member & a very good friend & family helping family as always. I will be reading the next book in this series.

This story was a little bit more difficult for me to get into and start reading.
Joseph is one of the best lawyers, but with him working constantly he's burned out on working for other people and just wants to settle down and start on his and his fathers dream of a ranch. He's got the land and construction has been started on the house and barn, but now he just needs a mate to chase away his loneliness.
Chris is tracking Micah Bentley because with her sisters last breath she was told he has something for him. Growing up they were warned to hid what they are, and now that her sister has been killed she's even more convinced that magic isn't going to help. But in her quest to get the items her sister left she meets her mate and is told that she isn't an ordinary witch and others are looking to harm her for her power.
I think one of the things that annoyed me the most about this book was there were SO MANY different characters introduced (even those with little roles to the story) that it just made reading and understanding so difficult. I constantly had to go back and reread to find out who a character was and where they fit in with the story.

Christiana McKenzie is a lawyer,a witch, a daughter and needs to find Micah Bentley. Contacted as her sister died with a message that Micah is holding something for her. Locating Micah produced a new problem in the form of Joseph Joey Bentley who is her fated mate. Joey had no idea the person seeking Micah would turn out to be his mate, but once he found her he is never letting her go. This is turning out to be another great series. Lots of different paranormal activity takes place, witches with hair that match their clothes, vampires, demons and demon lords, warlocks and some lost souls who need a second chance. I loved that Ms. Barton put the rescue idea in this story. Again she uses another tough subject making the reader aware of a problem they might not know exists. The whole magic angle was awesome and I loved the buildings shifting as needed. It was so cool. Myra is a hoot, she made me laugh so hard and the color/clothe changes were awesome. Ms. Barton has a wonderful imagination and spins a wicked tale for our enjoyment. Each story adds a new element to the already great storyline and sometimes I feel like a fish on the end of a hook as she baits me for what is to come. Great characters, lots of excitement and another story to add to my growing library.

Loved this book! I was so happy to see Joey find his mate. It wasn't an easy journey and there was some heartbreak along the way which was the precursor for Joey and Chris meeting. At the end of Micah, we met Angel who worked for someone Micah was investigating. Angel was not a part of any wrong doing. However, she was being hunted and was literally killed in front of Micah. She in fact saved his life. Her sister, Chris, knew she had to speak to Micah because Angel had told her he'd be holding something for her. Chris travels to talk with Micah and meets Joey. Joey knows right away what she means to him, but of course, Chris is hesitant. Thankfully, they work all that out and start looking into Angel's death. It seems Chris and Angel were both witches and Chris is a lot more powerful than she thought. This was a great story. I really loved the "aha" moment when Chris and Joey watch the tape Angel left for her. Angel knew a lot of things and as it's all revealed to Chris, my mind was blown. Great job, as always, Kathi. Thank you for sharing your stories with us. I'm always enthralled with them and can't wait to see what's next.

Meet Joseph - Joey as everyone calls him - brother to Micah - he has quit his job as a lawyer to finish his house and barn to raise horses. Chris is sister to Angel and were born witches. Angel cames to her sister in a dream and told her to go to Micah that he had something for her instead the driver took Chris and her stepdad to Joey's house. Joey knew the minute he saw Chris that she was his mate whether she wanted that or not. When Chris finds out that she is a very powerful witch and that others would try and kill her for her powers and Joey also the Bentley's join together to save them but will they be able to? Alot of powerful people are trying to kill them. This is a most definite must read and would recommend to everyone. Kathi Barton has most definitely done it again.

I'm in love with the strong & sexy Joseph Bentley. This series just keeps getting better, I can't take all this Hotness. Christiana McKenzie the Grand witch with awesome powers. I loved the how this book come together, how we got to see how much in love and how powerful Joey & Chris were together. Myra an all her colors but she is not to be messed with. Jackson was a Dumb A-hole who just didn't have a clue. This book was a fun read I can't wait to for Nolan's story.

Love this series and every other series by this author. Have read every single one of her books. I Love how she writes about strong, sassy, and fun loving women, who meets their match, especially when she writes about brothers and how they find their HEA. Every single one of her books are all 5 stars rating in my eyes. So cannot wait for Nolan's book and hope everything will be alright with him. This series I definitely recommend to all.

I totally loved this book. From the moment that I picked it up, I was hooked on it and there was no putting it down until it was finished. The characters are amazing and you feel as though you know them personally. The story will grab you and not let you go until the very last word is read. This must be on your TBR list, there is no doubt about it.

I was given a copy of this book by the author for my honest review. Joey working to get his ranch finished. Chris is looking for a man by the name Bentley to get what her sister Angel left for her. Chris gets more than she bargained for. Joey couldn't believe she is his mate.
