Great look into the damaged souls of two people and how they save each other through love.

Mitchell a werewolf saved a 14 year old human girl from the clutches of a sadistic pedophile, now 4 years later Christie is ready to save the soul of her Angel a man broken by the evils of the world he thrust himself into. A man that has been on her mind since that fateful night, a man she has never forgotten.

Will these two be able to put their past behind them and join the Black Hills Wolves.

Mitchell and Christy have history.
He saved her when she was 14 from a psycho, and then she seeks him out in her early 20's after he's had some hard knocks from life too.
I liked both characters. But I got a bit bored.
There's a long part in the middle where they are just in his one room flat over Gee's bar.
No OW/OM stuff.
But there is a moment of violence that was unexpectedly brutal.
All in all an OK read but a little dark for my tastes.

"A lone Wolf saves the day"
This super amazing series just keeps getting better!. The story line is amazing!. Oh the characters are incredible!. Mitchell is a super sexy Werewolf. His parents had left the pack of Los Lobos to live in the Human world. But when Mitch was still in his teens a drunk driver killed his parents and his sibling. A Social worker named Leonora and her Brother Hank helped him. Hank owns a MMA GYM and he starts training Mitch. While out for a Job one evening Mitch runs across what he thinks is a twelve year old boy in a dumpster. The child runs from him but he catches up to the child only not before the child is being attacked by three men. Mitch rescues the child then calls his friend Leonora the social worker for help. When Leonora shows up Mitch gets a big surprise the child is not a boy but a young teen aged girl named Christy. They take the young girl to the hospital, but Leonora stops Mitch from going as she tells him he can not see Christy any more as she is a minor and has been abused by men. Years later Mitch becomes a famous MMA fighter till tragedy strikes. Mitch ends up back in Los Lobos a broken man. Christy is all grown up and now she wants to help Mitch but can she find him?. This incredible book has some amazing Spine-tingling suspense,action,and heart warming Romance. This is a must read book

This was a really intense quick read for me....once I started I could not put it down. I loved how Mitchell was all about protecting Christy right from the beginning even as everything and everyone tried to keep them apart. This story just pulled me in and I could not put it down! I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. I have not read the entire 'Black Hills Wolves' series but after this one I think I may start from the beginning....this one was too good to be a one time thing.

It will keep you interested from the beginning to the end. He knows he isn't good for her but fate has other plans

They form an unexpected bond, when fate steps in and they are pushed away from each other. Till one day Christy goes looking for her angel that avenged and saved her life four years ago. She doesn't have high expectations because of his chosen lifestyle but what she finds is a man who couldn't be more different than she thought. All she had to do was meet him and then walk away. Once again fate has other plans and throws them together. Their attraction is immediate and tempting. But life is never just simple, not for Christy and Mitchell. Destiny is a funny thing, it always finds a way to bring mates together, even when they are stubborn.



This was such a sweet read. I loved the whole concept of this story. It was really enjoyable, and different for the fact that both characters had had a hard life, they were both trying to escape their pasts and they were both vulnerable. The characters were both quiet intriguing and so likable, I just loved them. I also liked that the couple were younger, that the male wolf was the one that was more unsure and shy about everything and the female took control, or tried to take control alot of the time, was an interesting take on the normal shifter dynamics. I liked that about this book. And what they had gone through in their short lives was really sad, made you feel really sorry for them for the suffering they had both endured. However, there were a few inconsistencies. When Mitchell went to visit Christy at her dorm he didn't use his heightened sense of smell to determine which room was hers but when he went after Brother Jacob he used it to find him. I know this is a shifter relationship and everything moves much quicker but I still think their relationship seemed a little too accepting and unreal at times and moved a little too quick. Otherwise overall this was a awesome read and I loved it!

Mitchell, you’re my first choice… 5 PAWS UP

and always have been. He’d never felt such a strong attraction. The Wolf wanted to throw its head back in a victory howl. *sniff sniff* I started crying while reading the dedication so I figured I was in for one helluva story but I did not expect it to be so... so... WHOA! This is one very powerful story! Very PAWESOME, very FURRIFIC and oh so very WOLFTASTIC!!! I was wholly & utterly consumed by this story! Two different lives intersect resulting in one saving the life of the other. Four years later, those same two lives intersect again but this time orchestrated by the saved and now the tables are turned and the other life needs saving. Just not in the way either fully expected. The horrors that Mitchell and Christy went through are well, horrific. I am about half-way through the story while writing this part because it is such a beautiful story and I have cried so much already. Partly because of the significance of 'Christy', partly for the past they have gone through to bring them to this point but also because it is a powerful story written so beautifully, so heart-sad and heart-happy too!! Trust me, this will make sense when you are reading the story. Now that I have finished this PAWFECTLY PAWMAZING book - TWICE! - I don't know how to tell you how much I LOVED this story without giving any secrets away! Plus I have been sworn to secrecy by the Pack, the same Pack that has now accepted me as one of their own, and with the threat of an exceptionally FANGFUL death should I spill any secrets hanging over my head, well, let's just say that this is one HOWLING FANGTABULOUS story that you NEED to read!! With Katalina's exceptional gift for writing such captivating stories, having this very personal layer added even more depth to the character, to the story and to the author. This is only my second book of Katalina's but I cannot wait to read more!!

I just can't get enough of the Black Hills Wolves. I love a great series and this is a great series. All these authors just do a fantastic job or continuing the story and bringing in new characters. Which is another fantastic part of the Black Hills Wolves. Just more books to look forward to.

Mitchell Waya is basically alone. He has had a lot of tragedy in his life. His family was killed in an accident, then he is able to save a child from being fatally harmed. He has also had some good times in the form of MMA fighting. That is until another tragedy strikes and then another. Now he is hiding out in Los Lobos, where he just wants to be left alone, to heal, but somehow a journalist has found him and he has to make sure she asks her questions and moves on quickly.

Christy has had to grow up fast. Her childhood was taken from her by an insane pedophile. Luckily she was saved by an avenging angel named Mitchell. From the moment she saw him she knew she could trust him and she would be safe with him. Others didn't see things the same way and refused to let her talk to him anymore. She was able to keep track of him though through his MMA fighting. He is known as "Wail'n Waya" and he is great. Four years later, after a bout where he severely injures a man, Mitchell wrecks his car and severely injured himself, then he just drops out of sight. Christy finds out where he is and goes to see him. She wants to prove to herself that he is just a man and not the super human man that she has put up on a pedestal.

They both get more then they bargained for.

A brutal Alpha is the cause of lone wolf Mitchell Waya's parents leaving Los Lobos when he was young, causing him to swear he'd never live under a brutal Alpha. A lone wolf living in the city though has its own set of problems. Needing to release pent-up rage, Mitchell works his way to the top of the MMA ranks; only to be brought down by an incident that ruined his reputation and caused him endless guilt. Before he became famous, he saved a young girl from a brutal cult. Being advised it was better he stay away from her, Mitchell did just that. As his fortunes take a downturn, he heads to Los Lobos, which now has a new Alpha. Christy has never forgotten Mitchell, and now with his troubles, she's determined to find him. Unfortunately, she didn't factor his notoriety into the equation. Mitchell tries not to get involved, but he can't resist her sweet brand of loving. As usual, we have an extremely well-written story by Katalina Leon. It flows off the page and, although the lovin' is sweet and hot, the action...not so much...someone's out for some nasty revenge. If you like your shifter stories with a interesting plot, engaging characters and some page-turning action, Uncaged is the one to read.

All I can say is wow the story grabs you right from the beginning Mitchell who is a wolf shifter at the young age of 18 was a cage fighter he went for a jog one night and rAn into trouble. Christie was a 12 yr old girl and her story started with her getting beaten up in an alley by some cult members Mitchell runs by and swoop send to save her not knowing she's a she thought she was a little boy getting beat up from that day she considered him as her avenging angel. But as fate has it kept them apart for many years until she seeks him out to thank him face-to-face to read about all the emotional stuff that they gone through in those years what they both had to fight through to meet up again and their story does not and there will she ever be safe from her past or will her past catch up to her will he be able to keep her safe?
Love the story fast pace through the whole story never a dull moment totally would recommend a story for anyone who likes to read shifter books!!

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is my first book in this series. I won’t get too deep into the storyline because you need to read it for yourself. However, I suggest you read the dedication in this book to know what Ms. Leon’s driving force was to write it. Her deep, deep feelings will surely come across thru her words. You won’t be disappointed.

Knowing this is my first read of this series, here’s how I saw this story: Mitchell Waya and Christy Killgaren meet under the most awful circumstances and both are growing up with horrendous pasts. I don’t want to give away any of the story but they meet up, separate, and meet up again and this book is their story. It is deep and gut-wrenching and their characters will capture and break your heart. Loved Mitchell, of course, and think he and Christy deserve their HEA. And one of the secondary characters, Gee, is a hoot. It’s a love story with a kick. I will go back and read what came before in this series.

I was given this book in exchange for my honest opinion of this book. It is not very often that you get a story like this where the heroine was a victim of severe abuse. I was very pleased with how the abuse was portrayed and how the author used the real life solutions of counseling and such that is used in this day and age. And the way Christy felt about all the smothering with the counseling and over-protectiveness of the others that were in charge of her care. And it is great the way Mitchell came in and saved the day for Christy and then left her alone to do his own thing in her best interest at that time. So glad that things finally work out for them and found it very refreshing to find that Christy was able to find the one person that made her feel safe and loved. I would recommend this book to everyone to read and to also get started on reading the rest of the books in this series. I myself am on my way to get started on the beginning of this series. Hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

I found this one a little different compared to some of the other ones I have read in this series. It lends a taste of refreshing because of that aspect. Mitchell grows up the hard way in the martial arts ring with the heart of a wolf to lead him. along the way he also rescues by chance Christy from horrors of life in a cult. Each are shut down when they want to reconnect but later in time will be their chance and this is their story when it happens. Christy is the one that makes the move to bring it about that when they meet the fire that sparks will touch them both. The past also just won't let go and it brings a shadow of death from it but a wolf with a heart will take down whatever goes after theirs. Just love they way this author has put it on the pages for us the reader to devour touching us with their magic they spark. It touches mainly on them with only bits of the pack but at the end they get their place too.

Mitchell Waya is an animal, in and out of the mixed martial arts ring. When he leaves the gym after working out he saves a small boy from 2 guys but it turns out the boy was a girl. Christy Killgaren is 14 year old and ran from a cult where she had a "spiritual" spouse. She sees Mitchell as her avenging angel and they share a connection but they are torn apart until they meet up 4 years later.When Christy is attacked the only thing Mitchell can do is share his gift and hope for the best but will it be enough to save her from the past.

The author gave the characters very good interaction with each others. The story line was was nice and smooth. Action ,drama, revenge and romance are in the story.

My first book by katalina Leon I loved her writing style and the mix of hot scenes and drama was great.
It's the 25 book in the black hills wolves series and it read like a stand a lone book so I didn't feel lost.
Mitchell Waya lost his family at a young age and used cage fighting to fill the void. One night while running he came across 3 men beating up a kid and rescued what turned out to be a girl. There was a connection but fate pulled them apart but they meet 4 years later and things have changed!

Wow great mix of action, drama and hotness that kept me at the edge of my seat. Katalina Leon lots of great story in her book that kept me wanting to know what will happen next!
The characters are well written and I connected to them it was an all-around fun read so yes I will be looking into more of her books. I can't wait to see what else she has out!

Mitchell is an aspiring MMA fighter on his way to the big leagues when he stumbles across a child in need of help.
When Christy walks into his life again he doesn't know what to think. Christy has escaped an unimaginable life and become strong and she only has one thing on her mind, Mitchell. Will they find closure or a future neither could have imagined?
This was a pleasure to read and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The story has its dark parts because of some of the subject matter but the hope of it balances the story. This is a story of healing and finding the one you're meant to be with. The characters and plot are well developed and the story flows well.

Mitch meet Christy on what was her worst night. Mitch instantly forms a bond with her but ultimately must let them follow different paths. I was drawn into Mitch’s story and reading along until it became Christy’s story. When the story focuses back on Christy and where she is and her attempts to gain closure on the worst night of her life, I had tears. Christy came out so normal and even a bit humorous. I really liked her. It was difficult to think of Christy and Mitch as young as they were. They had both been shaped by hardships in their lives and loneliness that made them grow up and mature fast. At the end of the book, while it closed the chapter on Christy and Mitch, I felt that it left a place where maybe we could see more of them in the future.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC from the author/publisher for an honest review. I will say upfront that I think this is a terrific addition to the series. Each book can be read stand alone.
The author grabbed me from her dedication on. It is sweet to think that love conquers all and if it can these two characters need it more than most. Christy may have the strongest heart of any female character I’ve read in a long time. She has come back from a horrible past to seek out the one who gave her the opportunity to do it. Mitchell has made some poor choices but saving Christy wasn’t one of them.
This book is filled with love and hope and will be read over and over.

This is one of the best books I have read, It has everything you could want. The story starts out and ends with excitement. Katalina Leon has a hit on her hand with this one. It twist, then turns It has hot sex, danger, and keeps you guessing. Mitchell Waya is young but has a trouble youth. He helps a kid in trouble and then has to walk away. Christy was taken as a young child by a brutal cult and Mitchell saves her for them. Four years later Christy goes look for her rescuer. Mitchell does want to be found. It is a five star, must read book. This book was given to me for my honest opinion.

Each book is an amazing trip to Los Lobos and this one doesn't dissapoint at all.


Fast paced with some action but mostly with an intenese emotional roller coaster.

Abuse,violence and strength to over come what they have gone through life Mitchell and Christy fight through life to find themselves,to fight their demons and to find one another .

The plot is really intresting and the twists and turns are amazing.

Story of young love between two damaged souls. Great read! Great work of telling the complete background of both characters in a short story. How the characters come together in the past and how it impacts them in the present. I enjoyed how our "once broken" lead female is taking the lead!

Extremely interesting book, one that's gonna grab your interest and won't let you go until the end. First book I've ever read from this author and feel lucky that she gave me an ARC in return for an honest review. Katalina Leon gives you a peer into the souls of two damaged people, one a cage fighter (who just happens to be a shifter), the other a young girl who was kidnapped and abused by a sicko cult. She's young but she knows what she wants and who makes her feel safe. Excellent read, anytime Ms. Leon and thank you!

I received this book as an ARC for a honest review. At first I wondered if this book was for me...but as I got onto it the more I liked it and understood what the author was telling me. Mitchell was a tough guy due to what he went through, Christy had it tough at first but went back to trying to have a regular life. Their chance meeting affects them more than anyone realizes. Over time things change and that's all I'm going to say! Not leaving any spoilers! Just going to say it's a good read and you should give it a go.

I received a copy from the author for an honest review. I loved this book. Beautiful story about Mitchell and Christy. Mitchell was into MMA fighting went to the big time and then crashed & burned. Christy was abducted & when she tried to escape, Mitchell stepped in and became her hero. The story then picks up 4 years later and this is the start of the love story. Very well written.
This is the first of the series that I have read and I'm impressed. Ms. Leon has a new fan.

Sometimes life comes full circle
One good deed is returned and life is changed forever. Is this well written story you have a young man coming into his own and risks his life to save a kid. That same kid is now an adult and the now grown man needs savings. This also has a love story within. This is an awesome story to read. Well written and extremely entertaining to read.

I love this Black Hills Series, and "Uncaged" continues to live up to the series. This is a wonderful touching story by Katalina Leon. This story is a well written with strong characters. Mitchell and Christy are both broken souls. Brought together by adversity and love.I hope hope you like this story as much as I do. Must read at 5 stars.
