Rate this book
The preacher said, “There is nothing new under the sun.” Love.
Jealousy. Betrayal. Laughter. Life.

Three women – Three eras of time – A cord of three woven together by family and fate.

Molly Maudine, Lucinda, and Aunt Ciss experience life in the 1950s, 1930s, and the Civil War.

Deb Ezell takes the reader through life in the rural South. It’s cheeky, cheesy, tongue-in-cheek, laugh out loud, and tissue grabbing. Based partly on family history, discover a small Alabama county that refused to participate in the Civil War.

Hitch up your wagon for an engaging journey with three extraordinary women.

My dear friend Deb has published her first novel! When she told me that it was loosely based on a true story involving her ancestors and “Free State of Winston” county, Alabama I knew I was in. Amazon delivered and I started reading. It’s an engaging read, full of humor and pathos and more than a few pithy sayings and I enjoyed it greatly. And surprisingly, as the story progressed (backward!) in time and the historical part began to emerge I realized that I had seen those names on my family tree. Turns out one of the “heroes” in the story is-or was-my 3rd great grandfather. I had no idea!
Don’t miss this highly entertaining and also enlightening book by my friend who is apparently also my distant cousin🤯
