Five stars does not do this story justice

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Minimum

Now, I'm not one for over extended reviews, and I like to keep them short and to the point, but I'm not 100% sure I can do that on this occasion. If you are a fan of fantasy, then this is a series of books you are absolutely going to need to read. From the first book (timeline order) we start with the Last Moon of the Timekeeper, to the infamous Orchestra of the Gods and Silence of the Wind, leading us into this, Origins of the Divide. The author, Mr. Buckley continues to expand and amaze on his creative and immersive world, Rybban, i have been a long time fan of fantasy and science fiction, and as we all know, time travel in fiction is something we have all come to love about these genres, but only if it's done right. And that is where I'm going to start, anyone who is a fan of either or both genres (sci-fi and fantasy) knows that this can, and has been done so wrong so many times, but on this occasion the way he has mastered the fantasy type of time travel is nothing but exceptional, borderline perfect in my opinion. From the very first chapter all the way to the last line of the epilogue I was gripped, knowing without knowing and understanding what was going on in a way I could not quit grasp.

Damien Buckley has excelled in his world building to the point I could see the world through the eyes of the characters, if I could give this more than 5 stars on this platform I undoubtedly would. The world building and visualisation of everything from the way are protagonists see the world to how others see them is nothing less and amazing. I have been in a reading slump for a while, and I was asked by the author to join his small group of ARC readers, and I can't say thank you enough, I will absolutely be obtaining a copy of this book for my shelf and will without a doubt revisit the whole series when he has finished it. This book not only shows that the author has a great grasp of fantasy and what it means to write a great story, but shows how much he has grown in his ability to bring that story to life inside the mind of the reader. This is without a doubt the longest review I have written in my life so far, and I'm not sorry, from Uehan, Liana and Ember to the rest of the amazing cast of characters we meet along this long journey through the whole world and it's history.

Now, for readers everywhere, get book three finished so we can finally be at rest knowing what happens and how.

But most importantly, thank you for not only letting me ARC this, but for writing an amazing Fantasy series.

Thank you Damien for giving me the opportunity to read Origins of the Divide early!

In Origins of the Divide, Uehan is tormented by memories of a war that never was and a vision shows him a familiar woman… and her name is Liana.

When I wrote my review for Orchestra of the Gods, I said that you needed an emotional support teddy bear. Well, let me tell you, you need to keep hold of it for this one. Damien certainly throws you through the ringer.

The size of the book may seem intimidating, but that doesn’t matter once you start reading it. You will not want to put it down, and because you’ve read book one, you’re already heavily invested in this book from the beginning.

This book is more quest driven and follows a couple POV’s, but it fits so well into the story. I really enjoyed each POV and Damien did an excellent job, making sure that they all made sense and correlated with each other. There are even new character’s and old, (some really old IYKYK), and each one fits perfectly into the story. There is also more humour in this book, which I loved, because sometimes you just have to crack a joke or two, even when the world is dependent on you.

I loved this book to the point that I was so invested, I swore at Damien many times. I’m excited for the next novella and novel in the series to see how it all comes to a close, but I’m also sad at the thought of it ending.

Damien didn’t just tell you a story, he showed you it. So, if you’re looking for a series that will make you laugh, cry, gasp and swear, this is the series for you.
