When Cora Olson is kidnapped along with a child, she turns mother bear on the shifters intent on hurting the boy. Rescued by Alpha Ethan Flint, CEO of the Black Bears Group Cora hatches a plan. They will pretend to be married in order to draw the Hyland Wolves out keeping the child safe and her protected. The problem is though Ethan plans to be fully mated with Cora and she keeps thinking it is pretend.
This was a fun short read. Wish it had been a bit longer to really enjoy the characters in the book.

This is a very pleasurable read.
I loved this book from the beginning to the end. The female lead is feisty and kind. The male lead is wrong and confident ,not only is he not threatened by how fierce the female lead he is impressed by it. I love the dynamics of the characters friends as well. Now I am off to read book 2. Happy reading!

Awesome story and looking forward hopeful of Keith story.. I'm just wonder may I know please if your gonna write a story for Keith Maxwell and a mate for him and a stepmother for Billy like a second chance love story?

Boring, lazy writing, shallow characters, insta-love, heroine is TSTL, no depth, no worldbuilding, rushed plot.... She's been beaten up severely and has sex right after her rescue, ouch?!

It was a good quick read. It did feel like it was just jumping from event to event without much time or opportunity to really get to know each of the characters properly... But it is worth a read.

Great shifter action/romance stand alone !! Big hunky Bear Clan Alpha, Ethan Flint, is CEO of his security family business. Sweet, curvy Cora is a teacher in town, and when a Lion cub is kidnapped, she's the witness they bring along. The evil wolves have a grudge against the cub's dad, Keith, a former cop. When the wolves start to hit the 4 year old cub/boy, Cora protects him and takes the beating. Meanwhile, Keith has gone to Ethan for help. Ethan, Caleb, his beta, and his security team rescue the pair. Ethan personally takes care of Cora, she's his and his one and only. She has a fierce plan to trap the wolves leader, and it includes becoming Ethan's bride so she can be the live bait. Ethan tries to explain to her that it isn't just a plan, it's a real "mating", and with that comes her nearly instant healing, and the mind and emotional bonding. She's on board but doesn't understand right away the true meaning of how powerful the connection will be. She's obsessed with the "take down" of the crime boss, and how she wishes Ethan was really hers. She should just listen and believe what Ethan tells her. Deep likable characters, an interesting story, super hot sex, a fierce cub, devoted dad, an amazing alpha and clan, with twists and turns all make this tale worthwhile.

Really did enjoy this book. It was a little different. We even see cameos from other books shes written in this. Can't wait for who she writes about next in this series. Maybe Caleb. LOL. Cora...she's something else! She's so brave and strong and a total mama bear when it comes to kids. She takes quite the beating protecting that little lion cub! Ethan's sweet and very protective and sexy. One thing that bothered me about Cora was HOW COULD SHE BE THAT OBLIVIOUS thinking this wasn't a real wedding/mating? LOL. Seriously? How could she NOT know? Does she know nothing about shifters? She teaches shifter children and you would think she would know their mating customs. He even tells her what it means and that its real and shes like bouncy blond with tunnel vision lol. Loved the story though.

This is a great quick read, full of revenge and rescues. Cora is a very feisty kindergarten teacher. Who ends up in the middle of a plotted revenge. Ethan is a black bear alpha who owns a security company. The two meet during a rescue. Will they be able to end the terror the wolves are planning? Will miss feisty get her way with the plan? This is a must read at 5 stars.

Interesting, hot, sweet. This book has a plot which is kind of good to have. Of course they both fell in love immediately which amuses me. I'm assuming since the books are so short they always have them fall in love almost immediately! I'll read the next in the story

Fun and quick shifter story.

I have high expectations when I read a book. I have become a huge fan of shapeshifting books,which I never would've thought it. I couldn't put this one down! I can't wait to read the next one. She did a great job with this story. On to her next:)

Scary to crazy
Cora sure got herself in a jam being kidnapped. She was so brave trying to protect Billy. After that she was a bit silly, or maybe crazy to decide to mate Ethan just so she'd be kidnapped again. It worked for this story though.

Heroine abducted and beaten severely, but is totally on board with becoming bait to lure the evildoers into a trap. Uh huh. Entertaining anyway.
