I am a graduate of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. I was born and raised in New Jersey so I am very much a city slicker. I moved to Florida to marry my sweetheart after college and marveled at how little there was to do and how much one had to drive to do it! But due to a job change and an abrupt move, we settled in Austin Texas where the motto is 'Keep Austin Weird' and I try my best to uphold it!
I am the mother of 2 great kids and though writing has always been a pursuit I was interested in, being a Mommy got in the way for quite a few years. I decided I would give it a fair shake in 2009 and I haven't been able to quit since. I have 7 novels, a book of short stories, and 2 novellas available. I also have 10 additional started novels in various stages of gestation. I have a hard time stopping my ideas and when a seemingly great idea hits me - typically just as I am attempting to fall asleep - I am compelled to start an outline.
My 2 great talents are:
1. My remarkable ablilty to remember names - which has served me well.
2. My ability to remember lyrics from every song I ever heard in the 70's and 80's - which has not helped me in the slightest.
I have a quirky sense of humor and sometimes TV commercials crack me up.
I like the notion of things being 'meant to be' or somehow touched by the unexplainable. I also like the effect music has on one's state of mind and the memories a song can recall.

Wow, this book was just amazingly good. I didn't know what to expect, I'd read The Messenger so I knew who Sammael was, but this full novel completely different.

Dominic Thanos, the man who has wealth, power, everything except his wish to go home, Heaven. He meets Kay, a young reporter who doesn't want to commit to a relationship, they are drawn to each other. And Nate, Kay s editor, who knows she's his soul mate, knows whose soul she has and has to watch Kay and Dominic grow closer.

The book follows these characters, and their friends and family. The writing is brilliant, the way the romance is written is believable, you want it for yourself. I did anyway. I went through cycles of feeling bad for one person only to have that change in the next chapter!

All I can say is if you try this book you won't be disappointed. Anyone who has read Mindy Haig before will know how good her books are. I recommend this novel, I'd like to read more about Sammael, the flashbacks to his extremely long life were great, they got longer as the book went on, I could read a full book about any of those times. Oh and Charlie, I absolutely loved Charlie !!

Written as the sequel to The Messenger, Glory opens up the life of Sammael, the Fallen Angel, as he lives through time. Created to be the temptation of the world, destined to walk among mankind, he finds no pleasure or comfort except in taking the Glory of Heaven from his Father's children, leaving empty bodies here hoping to hasten his possible return to Heaven on Judgment Day.
However his plan is led astray by one beautiful “social pages” writer looking to advance her career. Kay was looking for a step up on the career ladder when she met Dominic (Sammael), not another opportunity to sketch out the perfect relationship bio. She'd already found that spot filled by her attractive, make you want to settle down, and be taken care of boss Nate. For that reason alone she couldn't allow Nate any access to her career, her heart, or her private thoughts, except what he didn't know about her dreams wouldn't hurt anyone, would it?

Drawn in by Dominic's charm and his ability to subtly get her to the right spots at the right times for good stories, Kay finds herself truly being attracted to Dominic/Sammael in a way she didn’t even know existed for her. For his part, he is so drawn to her pure Glory and the strength of it, that it becomes an obsession. He needs to hear her say she loves him so he can take everything she has with complete satisfaction. However, the closer he gets to her the more he comes to realize that her Glory isn't like every other Glory he's taken and Nate isn't like every other man who will allow the woman he loves to be stolen away without a fight.

This is yet another fantastically written book by Mrs. Haig that draws you in and keeps you rapt with wonder at the characters and story line. I finished the book feeling lost, looking for the rest of the story. Not in a cliffhanger sense, but just in the way that a really great book makes you want to continue to live alongside the characters! Such a beautifully written story that perfectly describes the bond between soul mates! I am a faithful reader of anything Mindy writes from this day forth!!! 5 Stars and a HUGE recommendation!!

I've heard of the subtleties of 'fallen angels' and their deceit but there is nothing subtle about the seduction of Kay, Dominic is rather blunt and to the point about what he wants! I found myself forgetting who and what he is and his original purpose with Kay.

I found myself going weak at the knees for his old school charm combined with his attitude of "I want what I want"

I can just imagine the mixture of emotions experienced by Kevin, Nate, Matt and Charlie when they realise who and what Dominic is . How do they protect themselves and Kay?

Kay on the other hand is smitten and has no idea who and what Dominic is.I kept rooting for them but at the same time I felt sadness for both of them because of the situation they're in .

Dominic ..... Kay makes him feel emotions that he wasn't prepared for.... lust and desire and this catches him off gaurd and I'm not sure he knows how to deal with it.

All in all I really enjoyed Glory it goes from present time to "flash backs" of Dominic's past life which took a little getting used to but as I said I loved it!

Thank you for the read rosesbooksnobs ♥

What makes Haig such a wonderful author for me is the passion and depth in her characters. This is my 3rd read by Haig and I'm excited to say that her books just keep getting more and more enthralling.

I read {The Messenger} before {Glory}, but neither needs the other for a complete read. Here we find the main character, Sammael, the cast out angel of darkness from heaven sentenced to live through time while awaiting mankind's destruction so that he may return to heaven at the world's end. He encompasses all evil, and yet Haig writes the character in such a way that you pity him at times even while detesting him. There is this beautiful irony in him, in that he was created flawed and is so like mankind, and yet he is so disgusted by us and the love given to us. {Glory} is both thrilling and sensual at times and inspirational to the heart. It spans many time periods and locals, from ancient Egypt, Rome, Eden, Jesus' time and current day, this is definitely one to read.

If I could give Glory by Mindy Haig more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! I Loved it that much!! Glory is a book about Dominic Thanos, Kay Olsen, Nate Findley, and soul connections. Dominic is The Fallen Angel, Sammael an immortal, who sees in Kay a soul he is compelled to remove from her and throw into the face of his father (God) because of his anger and resentment from being cast to Earth until the Day of Judgement. Nate is the man who loves Kay.
"A virtual chess game was in play, and the prize was the immortal soul of Kay Olsen." and this is that story!
Glory is not a religious book per se, but uses premises of Biblical and historical references to deepen the development of each character.
This is an AMAZING book-one that will stay with me, not to be forgotten! Definitely one of my all time favorites!
**The Messenger is a free prequel to Glory that tells more about Dominic's past before he meets Kay. It is wonderful also.

Although books with a religious theme are not my favorite, this book flat amazed me. After reading the first pages, I revised my opinion. I fell in love with the characters, even Dominic (the Fallen Angel). The depth of research that Mindy must have traversed to complete this novel, gives this book such a realistic feel to it.

All I can say is that you wont be disappointed in this story. I do however recommend that you read the first part of the sequel The Messenger first.

This novel by Mindy is different than any other novel I have read. Sammael (Dominic) is an angel that has been cast from Glory (Heaven) to forever be bound to Earth. He causes destruction and mayhem everywhere he goes. In a chance meeting, he finds the one soul that could possibly lead him back to the Father. He has to make her love him and give him her soul. But another loves her. Dominic has flashbacks throughout the story of times that he has lived in, helps build the story and his past. I really enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it!

Nate Finley has something special going for him and doesn't even know where it is. But in order to save the woman he loves he will have to find out and use that something special to save Kay from Dominic. A man who is not what he appears to be. This novel is about more than romance and religion. It tells a great story and keeps the reader obsessed until the end. Even if you don't usually read religion or romance you will love this novel!

This book started at a slow pace, with all the explanation of everyone's lives and how they are all connected. As bad as Dominic was deep down, he had charisma and charm that no one can deny..even me. As for Kay, she was confusing at times, trying to deny who she really cares for. Of course there's Nate, a real good guy who deserves the best. Love the ending.

Remember the asp that convinced Eve to eat from the fruit of the forbidden tree? Was he a minion from Hell or an angel who held the evil of the world, instead of the Glory of his God? Doomed to walk the earth as a human, lonely centuries go by and some of the dark, great events in time can be attributed to Sammael. Fast forward through the lonely years to the end of the twentieth century, when this dark angel finds the perfect blessed soul to steal. Little did he know that as powerful and wealthy man with godly good looks, he would find a human female that awakens his heart and makes him wish to end his lonely existence, but can he keep his vengeful and evil side in check? Will she bring him the peace and acceptance he yearns for? Will she be his way back into the arms of his Father?

Travel in time from ancient Egypt, through the time of Christ and see how Sammael was used to make beautiful revelations and events happen, but at the cost of other souls. Enter journalist Kay, an independent woman with a pure heart that captures the eye of Sammael, now known as Dominic. Meanwhile any longs for Kay, but his intentions are pure; he loves her and needs her. He will also do anything to keep her safe. Nate knows something is off about Dominic, but to say anything to Kay will push her more firmly into Dominic’s arms.

Good versus evil, love versus hatred, even the dark angel is a victim who one cannot help but feel for. In a battle for Kay’s soul, author Mindy Haig presents a tale based on Christian beliefs that reads like a paranormal fantasy with her novel, Glory. Written in well-thought out prose, presented with life-like characters, the heat is not in the physical but in the emotional tension throughout this tale. Feel the stories from the Bible come to life with a different feel, from a different, more human angle and get lost in a story from an author who writes with a passion.

Glory is the full length novel that follows the prequel novella The Messenger - Sammael's Lost Memory. It is a story about a banished angel and how his desire for revenge battles his desire to return to the home he misses. It is a story about the history and mythology of the world of men. It is a story of power, lust and jealousy. But most of all it is a story of true love and souls that were made to be together.
