Not Broken

Fairytales don’t exist.

To Tasha Nelson the concept of ‘love’ and a ‘good’ man are all stranger than fiction. Her own man, Polo, is the devil personified. Their home holds dark secrets of abuse and blackmail. Though she presents the world with the picture of a happy, dedicated and submissive wife, on the inside she is a woman slowly dying.

Billionaire, Kian Harper, didn’t believe in happily-ever-after until he met Tasha. Tasha is everything he wants in a woman; warm, loving and loyal. She is also married! His head tells him to walk away but he heart refuses to budge. It’s Tasha or nothing!

Complicated is an understatement for this twisted tale!

Raw! Powerful! Deeply Emotional! Not Broken will drag you into the world of a woman living with abuse and her journey to healing.

Books. Books. Books.

I love looking at them, smelling them, reading them, carrying them, writing them.

I have an addiction. Someone help me.

I'll read anything from historical romance to fast action thrillers, gritty urban to fantasy.

When it comes to writing, I'm more of a romance gal. Expect admirable heroines, swoony gentlemen and some r-rated fun.

WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! ! !

I have children. I can't imagine being in Tasha's shoes. PERIOD! All she had to do was shoot Polo! Her daughter would have a kidney and the madness would be over. What kind of judge, lawyers, Doctors...This just worked my nerves over from beginning to end. Most disappointing of all is that the madness dragged on and on until the last five pages (which I didn't bother reading), then had the nerve to end in a cliffhanger!!!! This book didn't make me want to buy the first in the series. And be assured I'm certainly not going looking for the next. I'm probably going to reflect back on this any time I consider a Linda Verji book going forward. Sorry but I can't think of a single good thing to say. Traumatic not entertaining!

This book had me so on edge and so freaking mad. I Hate Polo, I hate Hanna.... there were even some parts I didn't like Tasha... But I loved Kian. This story was so intense. I was kinda pleased with the ending with the exception of Hanna not getting what is due to her. HEIFER

As great as the first

Fascinating read. Zain is my dream man. Proud of Tasha, she took charge of her life for her and the children well being. Polo is certifiable. Love this series. This is a must read.

APB Perspective book review: I read a sample of this book when I finished another book , you know how Amazon suggests books for you read I saw this one and read a sample and when I got to the end of the sample I literally could not put this book down. I wanted to know that Tasha would be okay and overcome the serious problems she was having with her husband Polo. This is a story of how a woman overcomes abuse and it does get gritty but it necessary for you to get the full story I hate Polo! This is a story of what will it take for you to break the cycle, this is a story of Tasha overcoming abuse and finding love along the way with Kian and her independence too. Let me tell you Kian is a hell of a man, you know how you wait for the moment when the two protagonist in the story to finally get together, and I found myself doing this a lot in this book? Well let me tell you when Kian and Tasha finally get together , when he makes love to Tasha for the first time it will be so worth the wait, that man is hot as heck ! This is a good book and even though there is another story to be told in this series the the author writes the books you won't feel cheated.

Not Broken started off like a movie. I literally felt like I was watching a movie. My heart was beating so fast. I was a little afraid of Polo myself. Every time it was a scene with him I got scared for Tasha. This is a good and fast read for avid readers. I loved Kian and his personality. Him and Tasha were a match for the beginning. Polo was such an egoistic, manipulative bastard. The way he did his own children was just disgusting and unreal! The editing took away from the story in some parts but I would still recommend it!

Love it

Not your kinky erotica but it feels like it. It 's so romantic and turns you on like any other erotica. It shows that for every abused woman their is a reason why they stay in the marriage even though everyone around them know it's wrong. In this case it's because of her child needing medical help. It's a truly touching and well written novel from the author.

Two thumbs way up

I love this book. I feel bad what Tasha endured by her husband. Polo was such a coward. Kian, my shining hero, *blush*! Loved the subject matter the story touched on. Can't wait for the next book. ;)

I started reading Ms. Verji on another site and fell in love with her stories. I look forward to everything she publishes. This is an author I would recommend to anyone whose looking for an African American Romance that's different but real.
