Started reading again today and finally finished. I really didn't care for it. The conversations were too juvenile, and I tried but I did not like Blake. He was a jerk and should have gone down in a blaze of glory with his plane.
The story was ok, the concept was good but the characters lacked depth
This book has been presented as a bwwm but I don't think the category is correct, as the story went along the reader received one explanation as to how this story was bwwm saying the main characters mother was black and father white this does not make the story bwwm! Why not just say that this is a love story and leave it at that I'm sure the book would have as just as it did in this genre. There were parts of the story which could have been built upon to make it more interesting. On the whole the story was ok just not to my standard but each to their own so give it a try.
Blake and Victoria story was an amazing story. Blake was a take charge man that liked to have everything his way! He was very powerful in his own little way. Victoria got involved with Blake knowing he was after her father company. With the love they had, Blake gave the company back to her father exchange for Victoria. It all worked out in the end, and I’m happy they got their happily ever after!! Great book!!
I felt bad for Blake concerning his feelings towards his mother without fully knowing what happened to his mother leaving him and his siblings when they were young. Love strike at the most unexpected moment. Blake and Victoria had to learn that. A beautiful love story. It has humorous points and shocking moments but a lovely story from beginning to end. I hope his siblings get a story or do they start their search for Brooke?
Overall this book was the typical alpha male billionaire confirmed bachelor storyline, it will however, hold your attention. It was well written and sensually descriptive. I'd recommend it as worth reading.
This was a very good read. I like how the author brought Victoria and Blake together. Even though she was willing to live with him without marriage, I am glad his last proposal was marriage for their HEA.
Great story. Lovey dovey. A good escape. Great love scenes. Downside, lots of typos and grammatical errors-i.e. to instead of too. In some parts that took away from the flow of the read. Overall, recommend.
Even though I like this book I have a couple statements. This book is not interracial. And again, the end, as usual feels rushed. I know they don't want it draw out but I don't want it to feel rushed either. I just would like a better ending that's all.
