I have always been intrigued by paranomal romance and the bonds of fated mates. This book returns to Everwilde with a romantic suspense story following Dorian and Fate who were first introduced in “The Alpha’s Forbidden Attraction”.

Fate awakens in her matchmaking shop beside a dead woman and has no memory of what happened. Even scarier, she no longer feels emotion or sees the bonds that helped her to identify mates.

This author describes the sensation Fate loses so thoroughly she is relatable to the reader and I became invested in the outcome. Dorian loses his connection to her through the bond but takes extra precautions to respect her choices.

The suspense aspect follows Dorian and his partner investigating the initial murder and following clues to a surprising family member and their impact on Fate.

I highly recommend this entire series to fans of paranormal suspense and romance. This book can be read as a standalone but honestly you will want to start with the Alpha’s Forbidden Attraction and devour the entire series.

Another story in the Fate series, this time Fate being the centre of the mystery. She wakes up next to a dead woman, Marianne, in her shop without any memory of what happened. Also her magic is somehow gone with some side effects, like not feeling any emotions. Fate understands and remembers everything before like knowing friends or Dorian but not as her mate. We see Dorian fight the urges to connect and comfort her but struggle with not being able to fully embrace her as he would have done. It’s a great mystery and a little jarring. I do miss the usual flirty banter between Dorian and Fate early in the story.
Overall, another great story. I am glad that it is focused on Dorian and Fate. Cant wait to read more books from Heather.

This story follows Fate waking up next to a dead woman in their shop. She has lost her ability to feel bonds, and now she can’t even feel her own bond to her fated mate, Dorian.

That is so terrifying. She remembers how she’s supposed to feel and knows exactly who he is, but the emotions are completely gone. Dorian is heartbroken, yet he doesn’t want to pressure her into anything. Instead, he wants to give her the freedom to choose him all over again. Watching him struggle with his own feelings and urges is so heartbreaking—it’s clearly incredibly difficult for him.

I was completely invested in this story right from the beginning.

Fated to the Forgotten Alpha Book 8 of Mated by Fate by Heather Foxglove is not the usual fated mates' story. Fate wakes up next to a dead woman in her shop, and she's lost her ability to feel bonds and can’t feel her own bond to her fated mate Dorian. It's terrifying because she remembers how it’s supposed to feel and knows who Dorian is, but the emotions are completely gone, and he is absolutely heartbroken. The author really takes you along and makes you part of the story you feel everything they are going through. Amazing story, highly recommend.

I was stunned when I read the beginning and couldn't stop. I was so frightened for Fate D'Amour and suffered with Dorian, so I had to read through the night. A family should stick together and not steal from one of their own...

Magic angst fated mates spice and mystery. Dialogue heavy but written in a way to follow along easy. Reading the first in the series is recommended. I skipped to this one but was able to get invested quickly despite no prior knowledge of the plot setting or characters. Enough twists to keep engrossed to the end. Solid read.
