Sometimes, true love is given a second chance...
Jamie, one of the ghosts of Culloden Moor, is thrilled when his new quest takes him back to his Highland home. The place still has a bit of its old glory--but to his surprise, he's not the only ghost on the property! His brother's sweetheart, and the woman Jamie has secretly loved for centuries, is haunting the family tower.
Elspeth is determined to wait for the love of her life, no matter what Jamie's ghost has to say about it. After all, he's only interested in helping the American film crew. He has already broken her heart once--she won't let him steal her eternal happiness as well.
Jamie will have to face up to his brother's sins or he'll lose his boon. But his most difficult task requires accepting some sins of his own. And if he fails, the lovely Elspeth will suffer...for eternity.
This is the third book in the The Ghosts of Culloden Moor Series, a Scottish Paranormal Romance. I like this series! Jamie and Elspeth's story is original, well written, emotional and captivating. Andrew McDermott and Jenn McGuirk did a great job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to Payton, the next book in the series.

Jamie (The Ghosts of Culloden Moor #3), my third read from author L.L. Muir. My wife is a Scottish romance reader & sometimes the books she reads influence me. A well-written short read, 108-pages/2-hours 44 minutes in length. Even better than the first 2 books of the series, I'll read more from this author, in this series, but what really got me going was narrator Andrew McDermott, I love his Irish brogue. This is my sixteenth listen from him. “I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Jamie is the 3rd book in the series. Each book originates from the ghosts of 79 people who died at Culloden. However, each story is unique, and focuses on the specific ghost. Each ghost must complete a noble deed. Jamie is brought back to his childhood home. This is where he encounters another ghost. I liked that they could see each other. This is a shorter story, and a bit slower than the previous two books. The story is well written and interesting. The characters are well developed. Narration is excellent. “Stay close to home Jamie.” These are the words of guidance Soncerea gives Jamie before he wakes to find himself exactly there, at his childhood home. Back on the Scot side of The Pond, this tale speaks to the importance of love and family and is quite the haunted tale full of ghosties.
I finished the audiobook and my immediate response was “can we do it again?” Why yes, yes I can. If you don’t mind, I’ll be in Scotland.

Being a Ghost Hunters and associated show fan, I enjoyed this book. I found it more realistic than others, in what I think a ghost might learn about the current world and technology. He returned to his own place, so he didn't have to learn about trains, traffic, phones and all (by osmosis? just watching others?). All the main spirits in this book had a good storyline and it was a pleasure to read it!
I enjoyed the narration of Andrew McDermott and Jenn McGuirk

It was boring, and it's not a romance, not quite. The "noble deed" felt more like a self-serving thing. Jamie was in his head so much it constantly broke the action, and most of it was told anyway. The American crew was there, but in the same way a potted plant was, or a table. They didn't do much, and sometimes they didn't even seem to be filming at all. Most of the interactions between Jamie and Elspeth were in the past, and told to the reader. And the ending was underwhelming.
Book 3 in the series. You will want to read book 1, The Gathering , for the background information. After that each book can be a standalone. This is a short fun read about a second chance at love.
Jamie is sent to his ancestral home to try and complete a task that will help him move “on”. He doesn’t expect to run into someone from his past.
3.5 Stars. This story follows Jamie Houston back to his childhood home where he attempts to perform his heroic deed. It moves at a slower pace than Lachlan’s tale; but, it is filled with emotion. This book keeps the reader wanting to continue on in the series.
Jamie is a ghost that has been stuck on Culloden Moor for almost 3 centuries. Muir witch has sent him home to perform a heroic deed so his spirit can cross over. When he gets home he finds the ghost of the woman he loved haunting his home.
A beautiful short story about Ghost #64 of Culloden Moor, Jamie Houston. Sonny allows Jamie to return to the physical realm in an attempt to sort things out for his tortured soul. Brilliantly written!
As a dead person a good witch allowed him life to get revenge for his death. He was transported to his long ago home. There another ghost wandered but the author L.L. Muir has them to see each other and speak to each other.
This third installment of the series was well written and kept me entertained. The narrator's have done a great job of bringing the story to life and making this a fun listen.

Another good novella in this series. I enjoyed this one, too. The are all very short, making for a quick and easy read. Not much brain power required -- which is nice now and then.
Such a beautiful story of righting the wrongs of the past. Also Of learning about truth And finding a lost love and joy. A beautiful ending For 2 special people
