University Park Series, books 1-3

Opposing Sides, book 1:
College senior, Lexi Thompson, finds herself in a relationship to be wed to the university’s star baseball pitcher, Collin Norris. Collin’s damn hot, but his lack of spark has Lexi thinking twice before she says ‘I Do’. When she’s forced to tutor bad boy football quarterback, Raven Davenport, she soon discovers all the things she’s missing in her relationship with Collin. Will she succumb to the temptations enticing her, or will Collin be able to convince his sweet, innocent fiancée that his love for her is genuine despite his lack of affection?

The Same Side, book 2:
The engagement's off and with Collin behind her, Lexi has decided that the temptations of Raven Davenport are too strong to be ignored. It doesn’t take long for Lexi and Raven to find themselves wrapped in each other’s affection, but not without the challenges that life poses. But can she withstand the world he’s created or will the forces that are against them rip them apart? Love, faith, betrayal, and heartache ripple through their lives as they fight to be on the same side.

The Winning Side, book 3:
Lexi’s determined to keep her word and stand by Raven’s side because her love for him is too strong to deny. As Raven learns to deal with the issues that are destined to destroy him and their relationship, their love is taken to a new level. As doors are closed and new ones are opened, Lexi and Raven find themselves in a heavenly bliss, but not without the challenges from Raven’s past. With a true test of love, Lexi and Raven have to decide if they are willing to do whatever it takes to be on the winning side.

MAY be some spoilers

These books were so good I didn't want to stop reading, but duties calls And I'm happy I finally got to finish part 2-3 since I've read part 1 awhile ago and Idk I thought part 3 was better and funnier. I kept rolling my eyes at Raven stupidest, but I couldn't stop letting him be my book boyfriend lol. So he was my fav including Luke, Shawn, and Josh <3. Glad that Lexi and Collin finally got to talking. But in my mind, I'm like I bet Collin gave his new girl the D. LMFAO, like seriously, that fool change quickly as a banana turning brown LMFAO. When Lexi dumped him in book 2 or was one lmao I forgot, But they both seem more happier, but I bet Collin was sneaky with it I'm telling you, it just him and Lexi wasn't a match. I knew he still cared about her a lot. But she wanted Raven instead. GO GIRL> LOVE HIM AND ALL HIS DEMONS BOO BOO!! Xoxoxo lmao

University park series

I loved the character development of Lexi in this story. Raven seemed to take a lot longer to get there but he grew a lot throughout the series also. I loved the way they came together and that Lexi didn’t let raven effect her decision to leave Collin.

I did not like that all of the conflicts were basically the same thing just different fuels to the same fire. I also found it annoying when Lexi started to parent raven. Also didn’t understand why Lexi kept reminding everyone that she wasn’t an identical twin... they were boy/girl twins that should have been obvious. However none of this took away from the incredible story.

I love Lexi and Raven!

Since reading the first book I was hooked. There's a little bit of we everything. Drama, definitely romance. You just can't help being sad when Lexi's sad, happy when they ate happy.
Let's not forget about Luke, Delaney and the others. What great characters they are. Talk about loving and supporting your friends. O think I want more friends like that!

>Book Review – University Park Series Box Set

>I am an independent reviewer. This box set contains the first 3 books in the University Park series and ends in an HEA. Raven is a troubled college football star. He falls for innocent, Lexi. I have read this story many times before - the jock falling for the good girl. This version of the story fell flat for me. Lexi and her twin brother, Luke, were raised in a restrictive and borderline abusive environment. Throughout the story, Lexi’s mom is physically and mentally abusive towards Lexi. Late in the third book, the mom does a complete 180 and is supportive and loving. With a large part of the story dealing with Lexi’s relationship with her parents, having the mom turn into a loving mom, for no real reason, made no sense.

>Raven is the only real character in the book. He struggles with depression and self-loathing. He rationalizes poor behavior and is a man whore. Lexi is too good to be true. She stays true to Raven, even after he cheats on her. The relationship between Lexi and Raven seems only physical. They say they love each other, but seem very juvenile in their actions. A lot of Raven’s poor choices are alluded to, but never disclosed.

>This box set is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving the story 3 stars. I have read better versions of this plot. The characters didn’t reel me in.

Opposing Sides: Book 1: I loved this book. It is a cliffhanger (sigh). I read it in a day or so. Once you start it you don't want to put it down.

The Same Side: Book 2 : In this book you learn more about the Raven. You also find out how strict Lexis' parents actually are. They really need to lighten up. She is 20 years old for crying out loud. I read this book in a day. I hated to put it down.

The Winning Side: Book 3: I really enjoyed it . It's gotta be love for Lexi to be able to stick by Raven. He messed up so much, and she was bY his side every step of the way. I read all 3 books in just a couple of days. Not wanting to put it down till it was finished.

Roller coaster ride

Good girl falls for the bad boy.
Bad boy is an assistant and likes good girl.
Don't forget he's a bad boy.
Oops, she forgot.
Make up.
Bad boy will change.
Not.
Repeat.
It's a formula that certainly works here. I enjoyed the stories and often wanted to pound the carp out of Raven for being a douche.
Eventually, you forgive him, but I'm still wary.
I can't wait to read his poverty, hopefully, he comes across as less of a douche

These books were good. It may have taken me a while to finish the two books. But it was worth it. Lol. In book 3 for Lexi and Luke birthday omg that part me has done for, I couldn't stop laughing especially the part where they said what Lexi had done. And for Raven, I can't seem to hate him even if he does the most stupidest things. In the end, everything turns out good. Can't wait to read part 4. He better not do anything stupid in that one. Lexi has been through enough.

I'm not sure how I feel about this series... It's an ok read, don't think it's gonna make the read again and again shelf tho.
I'd really love a pov from Collins side of things, and saying that, I'll probably buy the fourth book from Ravens side so I'll have the complete series.

Good Story

This story was pretty good at times it felt dragging, but over all it was good. I was a little frustrated at the end. I felt like the ending could have been a whole another chapter explaining the **SPOILER ALERT** children and how Raven faired. Maybe from Ravens POV might be better.

This story was cute and made me feel good. Everything I expected to happen happened and it was very predictable, but enjoyable nonetheless. I was very disappointed in the editing and the irony was not lost on me as Lexi is an English major and an editor. The grammar and spelling errors in this series were atrocious at best.

I wanted to love this book so much. But I couldn't get past the terrible editing. Funny how the main character is an editor. Added words to sentences, missing words, changed people's names several times, spelled names differently, who spells barely, barley?!?!?! And Raven Is an a hole. lexi is a joke for continuing to put up with him.

This whole series was good from book 1 to book 3 and book three was nothing but "wow" and Luke and Lexi birthday scene was hilarious. That pole, I can't stop laughing at that part and the part where she attack Raven in the room hilarious Jesus. If my girl that to me I would react the same way lmao.

Spoilers

This book was good ,but had one problem I couldn't get over.

Doormat women infuriate me,and Lexi was definitely one. Raven ditched her three times because he said he wasn't good enough for her. Each time she went looking for him and begged and he took her back. Raven was the jerk he should've been begging. Bad example for young women.
