My issue isn't non celibacy, my issue is that she stayed celibate because she loved him, he claimed he was in love with her and wanted more than sex thus the proposal yet he had no problem keep screwing anything with a hole?
Sorry, nope, I have no time for hypocrisy, duplicity and weak heroes.
I also have not much patience for Cathy William's writing anymore, her heroes are never faithful. She's going on my unsafe shelf!

Really good. It has themes I like in a romance novel: a second chance, a bit of blackmail, revenge, a besotted (even though he doesn’t know it) man, passion.

Three years before they had a relationship. He wanted to take things a step further but she rejected him because she had lied to him about her past.

I really don’t understand why people hold it against him that he moved on with his life and with other women after she had rejected him.

What I didn’t like, was that she lied to him about being on birth control. It’s strange that sisterhood here makes no point of a woman telling such a huge (considering the life-changing consequence of unplanned pregnancy) lie, yet a man moving on after having been dumped is seen as awful.

He was very gracious in forgiving her lies. She has lied to him about several things and yet, all the poor guy wants is to be with her. She never said sorry for her lies.

Wasted potential--great start, with the unusual premise (given all the books about women dumped or initially used as a mistress) that it is the man who wants a more meaningful relationship than just a physical affair. But then it falls apart with 1) Angelo's abrupt termination of the relationship (which he nonsensically refers to as being done by her, just because she wants to continue as they have been) and 2) the notion that Francesca, depicted as much more modern than most has been celibate for 3 years while Angelo had multiple flings and got engaged! It just made the notion that he loved her very unpersuasive, and recast the devotion he was supposedly feeling in the earlier part of the story as simple infatuation with her physical beauty.

really gud one ! i love the fact dat 4 once it was the heroine rejecting hero years ago n when they met again, he was the 1 feeling rejected n bitter abt it lol!even jealous of his so-called rival jack. francesca insisted dat she was very happy he had found some1 he loved n intended 2 marry while it made his very blood boil thinking she had moved on wid another man! angelo falcone was one very hot man ! right on the 1st page, i had the hots 4 him! the way the story began was original. he was already smitten wid francesca, it showed right der though he did not admit it. francesca's feelings were not so obvious. her reasons 4 all dat secrecy were ridiculous! der was nthg near as dreadful in her past ! ytd i read a book in which the heroine really had cause 2 be ashamed of her past. this was not the case of francesca, but she dramatised her past. i especially loved dat part where angelo admitted he had wanted her 2 want him even though he was committed 2 another man. he wanted her 2 want him against all odds. i think dat spoke above all words what were his real feelings 4 her while she thought the complete opposite of what was actually the matter here LOL. loved it, lots of drama involved;-)

Francesca Hayley was having an affair with Italian millionaire Angelo Falcone. She tells him that she can't keep having an affair with him. He isn't very happy with that decision.

Three years later Angelo has another chance with Francesca but he never saw the outcome coming.

Love conquers the past

Cathy Williams always delivers. The past never out rules love. When there is love , the past nor time will diminish love.

I already love strong and independent female character who are chased and wooed by Even stronger, strong willed, competent and proud male characters. Who are tamed only under the radiance of the beautiful female character only. Only being the key words here. And yes Angelo and Francesca fulfillment my requirements. Above all i was happy to find out that dear Angelo didn't had a poor sad story behind. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was him trying to extract revenge for not getting approval when he proposed Francesca, and the revenge was a very sick idea of sleep and walk all over her feelings.
But thankfully Cathy was smart enough not to drag the scene for too long. That's where i deducted one star. Over all it was a one of my best read. So yes ! Highly recommend

While I enjoyed reading this story it felt like something was missing the whole way through. It just didn't work for me, not sure why though.
