ARC REVIEW

2.75 stars overall

From Halloween, to Valentine's Day, if you're looking for a fun and spicy novella based on a particular holiday celebration, then Lexi Davis has got you covered. I'll be honest, some of these stories weren't my cup of tea, but there was such a wide range of themes and tropes — such as stalker romance, paranormal why-choose romance, shifters, and friends-to-lovers — that there is bound to be something for every steamy romance reader.

The rating of the collection will be a mediation between the single stories, so it might change until I've read them all!

✰ Claimed By Her Monsters
3-⭐

Ok, so... I found this first novella in the collection a bit underwhelming.
It's not like there was something wrong with it but it lacked a bit in monstrosity, spice and characterization.
I know that the space of a novella is rarely enough to do great character building, but from what I remember from other works by L. Davis she CAN do better.

Kudos for the impeccable cozy fall holiday vibes 🍂

✰ Cupid is a Liar
3.75⭐

I really liked this one, and I wanted more after the rooftop 🥲
If I may add a complaint: this was less than 100 pages long and I expected more spice/romance/cute building between the MCs and less action at the restaurant.
But I really loved the characters, so this is still almost 4 stars for me 💖

✰ Bad Bunny
✰ Gracie Gets Lucky
✰ Naughty Saint Nick

Each of these novellas are individually amazing. I swear by the fact Lexi is a novella queen.

I have read each of these and the exact same thing could be said for all 5 of them.
- perfectly fit the holiday season
- amazing plots
- characters are amazing
- each one captivates you so you won’t be able to put them down until you have completed the one you started, definitely make you obsessed
- spicy
- novella size so 1 sitting is all it takes
- each one leaves you feeling it’s complete and hoping for another one

Lexi’s writing is amazing, her books are some of my favourites and after reading these you will want to then move onto her The Order series (absolutely amazing series too) I will always recommend these to readers, they are perfect for reads in between big series, when your having a book burn out, or just want a sneaky read as a time gap filler.

How does Lexi Davis have this ability to turn “gray areas” into “totally acceptable!” I’m a huge fan of her writing, and I love that these five spicy holiday reads are all packaged in one spot! Some tropes are totally up my alley! (Friends to Lovers, Neighbors to Lovers). Some not so much (Bunny Shifter). But regardless, these were so much fun and I’d absolutely recommend this Novella pack to anyone craving the spice that we all know and love from Lexi Davis!

Thank you NetGalley for the read! I always enjoy Lexi Davis and this did not disappoint!

Thank you, Lexi, NetGalley, and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the ARC!

CUPID IS A LIAR: Loved it

🧸he falls first!
🍷a taboo romance!
💌morally grey mmc!
🌹strangers to lovers!
💋obsessive stalker mmc!

This was such a fun, chaotic, and unhinged little read!

Hannah is a headstrong queen who refuses to put up with anyone’s nonsense, and Damian is an obsessive, slightly unhinged man who is completely gone for her. 😂

The combination of her fiery personality and his surprisingly sweet, protective nature was EVERYTHING!

Despite being a novella, it packed in plenty of action, humor, tension, emotion, and spice.

I flew through it in one sitting and honestly would have loved more time with these characters!

If you love stalker romances with a strong FMC and an obsessed MMC who worships the ground she walks on, this one is definitely worth picking up.

CLAIMED BY HER MONSTERS: Loved it

🎃 Paranormal romance
👻 Why choose
🖤 Fated mates
🏚️ Haunted house vibes
🤝 Found family
🔥 Monster romance
🌶️ Spicy novella

This was such a fun, spooky, and entertaining read!

I absolutely loved the Halloween atmosphere, paranormal elements, found family, and all the mystery and spice.

It was the perfect little read to get me in the spooky season mood, and I was hooked!

The characters were so intriguing, and I loved the dynamics between them. There was so much potential to explore, and I found myself wanting to know more about their individual personalities and connections. The world had me curious, and I would happily spend more time in it!

My only complaint is that I NEED this to be a full-length novel! I wanted more time for the characters and their relationships to develop because I could easily have become completely obsessed.

Still, this was such an entertaining read, and I’m already excited to see what comes next!

NAUGHTY SAINT NICK: Loved it / Slightly obsessed

🎄 Single mom romance
🎅 Holiday romance
📻 Walkie-talkie meet-cute
❤️ Instant connection
🐢 Slow-burn tension
🌶️ Sweet with spice
💚 Green-flag MMC

Loved it/slightly obsessed

This so far is my favorite of the five holiday novellas!

Nick and Amber were absolutely adorable, and I loved their chemistry, playful banter, and the way their connection made me swoon.

I think all women will be able to relatate to Amber.

I laughed, melted over the sweet moments, and may or may not have squirmed in my seat seeking some fricktion at times.
The tension was so much fun, and Nick definitely earned his place on the book boyfriend list.

As much as I wanted more time with these two, the length felt just right. Every page delivered, and I finished with the biggest smile.

If you're looking for a festive romance that balances heart, humor, and spice, this one deserves a spot on your holiday TBR!

GRACIE GETS LUCKY: Obsessed

🍀 Childhood best friends
💚 Friends to lovers
🥹 Mutual pining
🔥 Years of yearning
🫶 Protective best friend
📖 Dual timeline
🌶️ Slow-burn tension

Okay, THIS is officially my favorite of the five holiday novellas! I’m usually not the biggest friends-to-lovers reader, but childhood best friends get me every single time. Gracie and Beck had me completely invested, and the mutual pining was everything I could have asked for.

The flashbacks were such a great addition, giving their relationship so much heart and making the emotional buildup even better. And Beck? The YEAR NING. The shift from best-friend Beck to lover Beck had me absolutely losing it. The tension was delicious!

My only complaint is that I NEED MORE! I could have happily spent an entire full-length novel with these two, but somehow, this novella still delivered all the feelings in such a short amount of time. I adored every minute of this one.

BAD BUNNY: Loved it

🐰 Bunny shifter
💘 Fated mates
👑 Royalty
✨ Unique magic
⚔️ Adventure and action
🫶 Protective MMC
🔥 Forced proximity
🌶️ Paranormal romance

I had so much fun with this one! A rabbit shifter romance was definitely a first for me. The magic system was unique to me and I was impressed by how much action, adventure, and romance Lexi managed to fit into such a short novella.

Nora was fierce, compassionate, and wonderfully capable, while Sorren had that protective, devoted energy I absolutely love. Their connection was sweet, the communication was refreshing, and the humor made the whole experience even more entertaining. The plot moved quickly, but I was invested the entire time!

My biggest wish is that this had been longer because I would have loved more world-building, character development, and time with these two. Still, this was such an enjoyable, unique read that delivered plenty of magic, romance, and spice. Definitely a fun pick for paranormal romance lovers!

Five Spicy Holiday Novellas by Lexi Davis

All in all I loved all 5 stories in this collection in different ways. This is a must have collection to read throughout the year. I'm certain these will be re-read by me every year. Novellas can be either good or bad, but Lexi Davis definitely hit this one out of the park and gave us something to read no matter what time of the year.

----------------------------

Tropes:
🎃 Claimed by Her Monsters (Halloween) - Why Choose Paranormal Monster Romance, Fated Mates, Forced Proximity

❤️ Cupid is a Liar (Valentine's Day) - Stalker Romance, He Falls First, Strangers to Lovers, Touch Her & 💀, Morally Grey, Hacker

🐰 Bad Bunny (Easter) - Steamy Fantasy Romance, Fated Mates, Bunny Shifter, Royal on the Run, Kindergarten Teacher, Strangers to Lovers, One Bed, Touch her & 💀, Light world building

🍀 Gracie Gets Lucky (St Patrick's Day) - Best Friends to Lovers, Slow Burn, He Falls First, STEMs FMC, Yearning and Tension, Banter, Nerd/Prom Queen, It was always you, Childhood Friends

🎄 Naughty Saint Nick (Christmas) - Neighbors to Lovers, Walkie-Talkie Flirting, Meet Cute, Single Mom, Cinnamon Roll Hero, Second Chance at Love

----------------------------

*First and foremost, read your trigger warnings by the author. These novellas in this compilation do have them at the start of each book in the collection.

Now for the fun:

🎃 Claimed By Her Monsters (Halloween Why Choose Paranormal Romance)

This is a Why Choose Paranormal Monster Romance. Three men and the FMC and has a Halloween haunted house vibe to it. This one was my least favorite of the 5 books, but it was still a fun read. It had a slow start to me personally, for this being a novella, it ended too quickly for me after the build up. The novella still has a great plot and is a fun read. Perfect read this time of the year as Halloween is approaching. It has all the tropes people love: Monster Romance, Fated Mates, Why Choose, Forced Proximity, Supernatural

❤️ Cupid is a Liar (Valentine's Stalker Dark Romance)

This one was a fast paced read and maybe it's because it has all my favorite tropes. Damian is the quiet man down the hall that enjoyed watching Hannah from afar. Hannah gets stood up on her date on Valentine's Day and then it all begins a fast paced rollercoaster of a night. A stalker she didn't know she had and the neighbor down the hall is a morally grey cinnamon roll hacker that her cat (Mr Wiggles) seems to have taken a liking to. I could go on and on about this one, but I don't want to give it all away.

🐰 Bad Bunny (Easter Steamy Fantasy Romance)

This is a strangers to lovers Steamy Fantasy Shifter Romance. If you love shifter romance, this one is going to be your favorite. This one has light world building in it and is perfect for those that haven't read books with it to get a taste of it. The MMC is a royal on the run and the FMC is a kindergarten teacher that recently went through a breakup. This novella has all the feels and twists you want in a wholesome romance and keeps you engaged from beginning to end.

🍀 Gracie Gets Lucky (St Patrick's Day Best Friends to Lovers Slow Burn Romance)

This is a slow burn friends to lovers romance. Beck falls first for Gracie. She's a STEM FMC and he's a protective MMC. There's plenty of yearning, tension and witty banter between them as there should be if they've been friends since kindergarten. The story takes place one night on St Patrick's Day when Gracie decides she's done lying to herself about how she feels about Beck. There are flashbacks to their childhood and history together which is a wonderful touch to include even though it's a novella. This is a sweet & cute story that gives you all the nostalgia of young love.

🎄 Naughty Saint Nick (Christmas Neighbors to Lovers Small Town Romance)

This should be a Hallmark movie! Amber is a single mom raising her son by herself in a small town and on Christmas Eve she's attempting to assemble her sons bike for Christmas when the toy walkie talkie goes off and she starts having a conversation with a stranger (Nick). He's not certain it's his neighbor he's had his eyes on, but is hoping it's her. It's such an original meet cute and I loved everything about it. I laughed, swooned and it gave me all the warm feelings you should get from a Christmas novella.

If you’re looking for a quick, spicy escape with a little something for every holiday, this collection is such a fun read! It brings together five standalone novellas, each centered around a different holiday and featuring its own unique romance, tropes, and morally gray twists.

🎃 Halloween: Claimed by Her Monsters
A deliciously dark monster romance featuring a why choose/reverse harem dynamic. But the real twist? The three monsters may look terrifying, but the heroine is the one who might actually be the most dangerous.

💘 Valentine’s Day: Cupid Is a Liar
A stalker romance with a seriously intriguing twist. The protagonist has been crushing on her attractive neighbor, only to discover that he’s been secretly keeping tabs on her. Definitely creepy, intense, and addictive!

🍀 St. Patrick’s Day: Gracie Gets Lucky
For the friends to lovers fans! Gracie and her lifelong best friend take their relationship to a whole new level, proving that sometimes the person you’ve known forever can become something so much more.

🐰 Easter: Bad Bunny
A paranormal shifter romance featuring a royal bunny shifter prince on the run. It’s quirky, supernatural, and exactly the kind of unexpected holiday romance that makes this collection so much fun.

🎄 Christmas: Naughty Saint Nick
A cozy-but-spicy neighbors to lovers romance featuring a single mom, a cinnamon roll hero, and toy walkie talkies that bring these neighbors closer than either expected. This one definitely brings the holiday heat!

Overall, this collection is perfect if you enjoy short, spicy romances with paranormal elements, morally gray characters, unique premises, and plenty of heat. Each story has its own flavor, so there’s something here whether you’re craving monsters, stalkers, shifters, friends to lovers, or a festive holiday romance.

If you like your holiday reads short, steamy, and a little unhinged, definitely add this collection to your TBR! 🔥

Oh my what can I say this is one of the most fun complications I have had pleasure of reading.thank you to #netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC copy of this book.

I think it would make a great present for xmas as you can read throughout the year as each story covers a celebrated event. I love therebis so much in each short story all readable within one sitting. A bit of spice, some romance and always good character development

Claimed by her monsters

I started with this as halloween is upon us and I loved it was such a good blend of build up and then spice and I really want to read the follow up of what happens next as this has so much potential for a full or another collection of novellas.

Bad bunny was an easter related story. I loved the connection as it built up. The spice the ending and the extra chapter you can go and found. Again the supernatural playing a role here too added another element of fantasy . Loved how much can be squeezed into a short story.

Naughty saint nick

This had a real xmassy love story feel to it i did really enjoy this and the ending was so sweet. Again a lot of time spent on the characters and back stories and then a thrusting of spice too.

Gracie gets lucky was my least favourite as it didnt have as many elements as the previous books and didnt have the depth of character as saint nick but it was still a great slow burning short story. Worth reading .

Cupid is a liar
This was a valentines day related short story. I loved the morally grey mmc as you should hate what he does and his behaviours are not good but you still root for him. Really well done and a great novella.

It is wonderful to have them all collated together. A great book

I am a huge fan of Lexi Davis and have read each of these holiday novellas individually, so was excited to see them brought together into one book. It makes it so much easier to have them all in one place.

With a novella for Valentine’s Day, St Patrick’s Day, Easter, Halloween and Christmas you can read this book all year round. I only like to read holiday stories during the specific holiday, so I liked that this book has them altogether and you can pick it up at anytime and find the holiday you’re looking for.

Each novella has a different dark romance theme, so there’s something for everyone. I loved how different they all were.
It’s hard to choose a favourite but I really enjoyed the paranormal why choose romance in Claimed By Her Monsters. It really made me chuckle what the guys needed to do to help save Madison. I loved it.
I really enjoyed the bunny shifter romance in Bad Bunny too. Who knew bunnies could be sexy.
The childhood friends to lovers storyline in Gracie Gets Lucky was brilliant and I loved the flashbacks we get to give depth to their relationship.
Then we get fiery Hannah and her stalker landlord in Cupid is a Liar. I’m not normally a fan of stalker romances but Harrison seemed like a sweetheart minus his stalker tendencies.
I enjoyed the unique meet cute in Naughty Saint Nick and the bonding over walkie talkies.

Lexi manages to create such well thought out and detailed stories in less than 200 pages. They’re fast paced, easy to read and spicy. A really fun read, I highly recommend.

Overall, I rate this collection 4⭐️

Absolutely love the concept of having a compilation of five spicy holiday novellas in one handy dandy book. The fact that each one is centered around different holidays throughout the year? Genius! Celebrate the holidays with Lexi all year long. 💕

🧡 Halloween
CLAIMED BY HER MONSTERS: A sexy MFMM, RH, why choose monster romance that brings the heat! 🔥🔥

💝 Valentine’s Day
CUPID IS A LIAR: The neighbor you think is incredibly hot has been stalking you all along in this creepy but sweet romance. 👀

💚 St. Patrick’s Day
GRACIE GETS LUCKY: Best friends become something more in this friends to lovers romance. 💞

🩵 Easter
BAD BUNNY: A paranormal romance about a bunny shifter prince on the run. 👑🐇

❤️ Christmas
NAUGHTY SAINT NICK: Neighbors connect over a toy walkie talkie and sparks fly when they connect IRL in this neighbors to lovers romance. 🎁

While I have my favorites, all five novellas are a delight to read. The shorter lengths make them binge-worthy. I especially like that they all are a little different from each other. Whether you’re in the mood for a shifter romance or a friends to lovers trope, Lexi has got you covered. It wouldn’t be a Lexi Davis book without the spice and she brings it in all of them! 🌶️🌶️🌶️ She does an excellent job of balancing both plot and spice in her books.

Thank you Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, NetGalley, and Lexi Davis for this e-ARC. This is my honest review.

Cupid Is A Liar - This is perfect to read around Valentines Day if your looking for a dark stalker romcom with a morally grey MMC with touch her and d!e energy🔥

Bad Bunny - Paranormal/shifter, fated mates, ancient magic, and a little bunny… that isn’t really a bunny🥵 This one was super fun to read since there was some action packed scenes thrown in there. If you are a romantasy fan, this is your jam!

Gracie Gets Lucky - Gracie and Beck were honestly made for each other, they just needed to grow up a little first. The present and past POV’s were super easy to follow along with. I usually don’t enjoy time hop POV’s but because of the fast pace and short chapters/character breaks I actually loved it😍

Naughty Saint Nick - I absolutely loved this novella! Making Amber and Nick not only neighbors but also connecting Amber with Nicks younger sister made the instalove thing work perfect. I was laughing and smiling through pretty much the whole thing🥰

I chose to skip Claimed By Her Monsters as why choose romances aren’t really my thing (I don’t like sharing… at all!🤣) but if you like MMMF, dark, and spicy than this Novella is for you!

Five Spicy Holiday Novellas was such a fun collection! 🌶️🎃🎄💘🐰☘️

I loved having five completely different spicy romances all wrapped around different holidays. Each novella brought something different to the collection, and there was a trope for every mood!

🎃 Halloween – Why Choose
🎄 Christmas – Neighbors to Lovers
💘 Valentine’s Day – Stalker Romance
🐰 Easter – Bunny Shifter
☘️ St. Patrick’s Day – Friends to Lovers

I really enjoyed the variety of tropes and settings, and the shorter format made these perfect for dipping in and out of whenever I fancied a quick, spicy read. 🌶️📖

Some stories definitely had me more hooked than others, but overall this was an entertaining, spicy and wonderfully festive collection. If you enjoy short romances, spicy reads and holiday-themed stories, this is definitely one to add to your TBR!

A fun 5-star collection for me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Simply put, this set of 5 holiday novellas by Lexi is brilliant! It's so much fun to have each holiday season covered all in one place. Also, with them all being short and sweet (& spicy, of course), you really can't go wrong! The writing is great throughout, it really pulls you in from the very start of each story and although you are only with the characters for a short time, you can't help but root for them / fall for them all along the way.

I think this collection would make a great gift to someone who is busy, but still needs a little escape from reality. Or just someone who loves fast paced stories that can be wrapped up in one single sitting. Honestly, there's something for everyone in this collection and I would 100% recommend giving it a go!

Five Holidays and Plenty of Spice!

⭐️ 5/5 | 🌶️ 4/5

Lexi Davis gave my holiday reading a spicy upgrade with this collection of five standalone novellas!

I loved the variety of romance setups. There’s Halloween why-choose with three monsters, a Valentine’s stalker romance, St. Patrick’s Day friends to lovers, an Easter bunny shifter prince, and Christmas neighbors to lovers involving toy walkie-talkies.

The mix is a big part of the appeal—you can choose a story based on your favorite holiday or whatever trope you’re craving. And a royal bunny shifter prince on the run? That absolutely gets my attention!

A great pick for readers who enjoy short, spicy romances and a little holiday mischief.

tysm to netgalley and the publisher for this earc!!

I love a holiday novella, and these were very cute. I’d already read Cupid is a Liar, so I knew I already enjoyed Lexi Davis’ novellas, and the rest did not disappoint. The paranormal aspects in the Halloween & Easter novellas were so fun and unique (especially the Easter one) and each of these was short enough (around 100 pages) to be read in one sitting. These all have their own unique vibes and that made it easier to read all five back to back without it getting repetitive.

This was my first experience reading Lexi Davis and I think I need to go back and read her other stuff. These were so good and since they’re novellas they were really quick reads. I enjoyed all of the characters and as someone who doesn’t usually enjoy holiday themed books, I thought these were great.

💚Claimed by Her Monsters 💚
4⭐️

I skipped this novella last year because of the why choose and monsters tropes but I’m so glad I picked it up this year when the whole bundle popped up on NetGalley cause it was so fun!!!

This was the only novella by Lexi I haven’t read and because I enjoyed all the other ones, I decided to catch up on Claimed by Her Monsters even tho the tropes are not my thing but I knew I can trust the writing and I was not disappointed!
I expected it to be way more spicy and way more why choose and also way more monstery. What it turned out to be was really well executed, fast paced story (it’s a novella, after all) that leaned more into paranormal/fantasy territory rather than monster romance.
It was not about spice, there is actual plot, and I would say the spice is an addition and maybe 10-max 20% of the story!
The last chapter lost me a bit, it went too much into fantasy genre for my liking (I’m not a fantasy reader) but because it was kinda expected, I don’t hold it against the book.
I love Lexi’s writing, despite only reading her novellas so far. From now on, I think I will not even check the blurb or tropes when it comes to Lexi’s books. I enjoy her way of writing and executing the story enough to be interested, even if the storyline or tropes are not my usual thing.

I highly recommend all Lexi’s novellas (these I read) and full length books as well (these I haven’t read but I’m recommending blindly, sue me)

🩷Cupid Is A Liar🩷
4⭐️
Fast paced novella (hello, under 100pages!), perfect for a quick one sitting read.

„This is dark romance, not a misunderstanding” <- this was part of trigger warnings. I wouldn’t exactly call it dark-dark, maybe dark-ish.
If you read dark romances, this might be vanilla for you, if you’ve never read anything dark, then this might be a good first time try.

The writing is good, it is very fast paced so take that into consideration, there is a bit of stalking (or more than a bit). It is perfect for what it is.

I passed on Pretty Vicious (Lexi’s full length novel) cause it’s not exactly my vibe, but this novella made me reconsider.

💚Gracie Gets Lucky💚
4.5⭐️
If there’s Lexi’s novella to request on NetGalley, I’m RUNNING so damn FAST to grab it and ignoring everything else (even current 5 star reads) cause:
-they are always so good (I’ve read 3 so far and I’m starting to regret not requesting the Halloween one)
-they are literally a one sitting reads. You only need 1-1,5h and you’re done with another book on your “read” list so it’s not inconvenient to pause any current full length novel for this little novella
-they are novellas but somehow not feeling like they are too short. EXPLAIN THIS TO ME PLS, Lexi is just simply a queen of novellas, no other explanation makes sense

I loved the story and how the kind of dual timeline was mixed in here. The characters are in their 20s but because of the chapters from their childhood and teenage years you can feel the typical high school angst for a minute. LOVED IT!!!

It’s not exactly a second chance but more like “it’s always been you” and it’s simply DELICIOUS to witness how these two idiots finally admit their feelings to themselves and each other.

Run to NetGalley to request it and then add whole Lexi’s backlog to your TBR. I highly recommend her other novellas if you want something quick (literally a one sitting 1 to 1,5h reads)

Check the trigger warnings tho. There’s a SA attempt and on page fight so heads up if that’s triggering for you. If you’re unsure, I think you can just skip it, it’s just couple of pages, but be mindful.

One more thing I wanted to start with it but oh well guess I’m ending with it:
THE AUTHOR’S NOTE - why is it always so funny, lol, I love it.

It’s 100 pages novella but I have over 20 highlights.

🩷Bad Bunny🩷
4⭐️

The shit I read because I liked the author and decided to follow every new release lol

The shit I do for my fav authors… I’m even though I only read Lexi’s novellas (without the Halloween one), I still consider myself a fan of hers. I am not into anything close to fantasy but I decided to trust Lexi’s writing and step out of my comfort zone for this novella.
I am still not into fantasy genre (yet?) but I enjoyed this novella a lot!
The writing is good, like really good, so my view (at least current view until I verify it after reading more of Lexi’s work) is that before jumping into books or novellas written by Lexi you don’t have to worry about writing quality, just decide if the themes/tropes/genre is a deal breaker for you.
I am not a fan of insta-love or insta attraction, any fantasy elements are not my cup of tea, but I didn’t mind these things here. The fantasy stufff at the second half (maybe the last 30%?) was pretty heavy but I knew that going in. I still don’t think I could handle full length fantasy novel but novella length - I can deal with it and enjoy the read.
I’m going with 4 stars for now but only because (as specified already multiple times) I am not a fantasy fan. I might come back and bump it to 5 later.

Lexi is a queen of novellas for me. She never misses, it’s 4th one I read and they are ALWAYS 4 or 5 stars worthy, or truly more in 4.5-5 territory! A little over 100 pages, perfect for one evening, one sitting read. Despite being a novella it didn’t lack in any part of execution.
It was all quick (the love, the plot development) as it is a given when it comes to novellas, but it is working well, not missing a damn thing!!!

Once I sync my highlights I might come back and add some of the quotes here.

❤️Lucky Saint Nick❤️
4.5⭐️

4.5⭐️ but I’m marking it as 5 cause altought it was not *that* special, for novella standards - it is worth 5 stars!

It’s a quick and easy read, it took me like 1-1,5h to read it all. The cover may seem like it’s a dark-ish and super spicy one, but it’s so much more. First - it’s nothing dark. As for the spice - it is there but it’s not overly spicy, first there is buildup and tension and the spice hits in the second half.
For something this short, it really somehow captures all the things you need. There is proper introduction, the buildup, just enough details about each character situation.
I have a soft spot for single mom divorcee so obviously I just HAD TO read this one. Their meet cute is super cute. Strangers “meeting” by accident through kids’ walkie-talkie, but turns out they are neighbors and have some ties back from school!

If you’re looking for well written, quick to read sweet and spicy Christmas novella this one is a good choice!

Let me convince you with some of the trigger warnings:
-High heat, low chill dialogue
-Aftercare that might melt your entire soul
-FMC healing from betrayal and abandonment

And one line by FMC:
“How big is your screwdriver?”
(She really meant a screwdriver 🤭)

Five holidays, five different romances, and apparently absolutely NO intention of keeping things innocent.

I love the idea of a collection that gives you a little bit of everything. We've got obsessive men, monsters, a sweet Christmas romance, childhood best friends, and even a BUNNY SHIFTER?!

The variety alone makes this collection interesting because you're not getting the same romance with different holiday decorations.

Cupid Is a Liar

Starting off strong with an obsessive stalker MMC because apparently Valentine's Day is for questionable men making questionable decisions.

Hannah and Damian have that dynamic where she's not about to tolerate his nonsense, and he's already decided she's the only woman he wants.

I love a headstrong FMC paired with a man who's completely obsessed with her. Especially when he's morally gray but somehow manages to have a softer side reserved just for her.

Is it healthy? Probably not.

Is that going to stop me from reading it? Absolutely not.

Claimed by Her Monsters

Now THIS is the kind of Halloween romance that gets my attention.

A haunted house, monsters, fated mates, and a why-choose relationship?

You really don't have to convince me much more than that.

I especially like the combination of paranormal romance and found family. There's so much potential when you have multiple characters with different personalities and connections all trying to figure out how they fit together.

My only issue with a premise like this being a novella is that I want time to get attached to EVERYONE. Give me their backgrounds, their relationships, and all the weird little details about the supernatural world.

Monster romance is already fun, but monster romance with an actual emotional connection? Even better.

Naughty Saint Nick

Okay, this one is a completely different vibe from the first two, and I appreciate that.

Amber is a single mom, Nick is giving us some serious green-flag energy, and their relationship starts with a WALKIE-TALKIE?!

That's actually adorable.

There's something refreshing about a romance where the MMC doesn't need to be a walking red flag to be interesting.

Sometimes I want the obsessive, morally questionable man.

Other times I want someone who's sweet, funny, knows how to communicate, and actually makes the FMC feel appreciated.

And a little holiday spice certainly doesn't hurt.

Gracie Gets Lucky

Childhood best friends who have been secretly pining after each other for YEARS?

Oh, you two are about to make this unnecessarily complicated, aren't you?

Gracie and Beck have the kind of setup where the history between them is just as important as the romance itself.

I like that this one uses flashbacks because with childhood friends-to-lovers, I want to understand why these two mean so much to each other.

Give me the memories. Give me the little moments where the feelings started changing. Give me the realization that maybe the person you've been looking for has been right there the entire time.

And Beck being protective while secretly wanting more from their friendship?

Sir, PLEASE just tell her.

Bad Bunny

A rabbit shifter.

I repeat.

A RABBIT SHIFTER.

I have read some interesting paranormal romance premises, but this one definitely earns points for being different.

Nora and Sorren's story brings in royalty, magic, fated mates, and actual adventure, which is a lot to fit into a novella.

I like that Nora is described as capable and fierce rather than someone who needs her mate to solve every problem for her.

And Sorren being protective and devoted is a nice contrast to some of the more unhinged men in this collection.

The magical world sounds like something that could easily support a much longer story, and honestly, that's probably what I'd want most from this one. More time exploring the characters, the magic, and everything happening around them.

Final Thoughts

What makes this collection fun is how different the romances are.

You can go from a stalker romance to a monster why-choose, then immediately switch to a sweet single-mom Christmas story before getting thrown into childhood pining and magical bunny-shifter chaos.

Talk about emotional whiplash.

I do think the biggest limitation with collections like this is the length. Some relationships and fantasy worlds deserve more time to develop, and I can definitely see how certain stories might leave readers wishing for a full-length novel.

But there's also something nice about having five quick romances you can pick up depending on your mood.

Whether you want something dark and obsessive, sweet and romantic, or completely ridiculous in the best paranormal-romance way, there's a little bit of everything here.

And really, where else are you going to find a stalker, a group of monsters, a green-flag Christmas MMC, a pining best friend, and a rabbit shifter all in the same collection?

Thank you to Lexi, NetGalley, and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

Overall:
Spend the year with Lexi Davis…one holiday novella at a time. From dark romance to ruining the friendship to shifters to monsters to neighbors, this collection has something for everyone. All of these novellas are short, quick reads with decent spice and solid plot lines.

I received an advanced ebook copy from the author for this collection, along with several of the novellas earlier this year in exchange for honest reviews. All opinions are my own.

—————

Cupids a Liar:
Read if you 🖤
⌨️ morally gray MMCs
⌨️ independent FMCs
⌨️ strangers to lovers
⌨️ stalking
⌨️ badass bitches who are DONE taking shit
⌨️ traitor cats

Like the summary suggests, this is a fast-paced, no-nonsense Valentine’s Day stalker romance novella that’s full of action, (over?)reaction, and the occasional medical emergency with a panic attack or two sprinkled in. And a shocking amount of self reflection??

—————

Gracie Gets Lucky:
Read if you 💚
☘️YEARNING MMCs
☘️best friends to lovers
☘️”I can’t be your friend”
☘️protective MMCs
☘️STEM FMCs
☘️popular/nerd
☘️dual timelines

“Our mommas are best friends and so are we, the whole town’s rootin’ for us like the home team” vibes to like, the nth degree (just, ya know, with a HEA instead of refusing to leave your hometown for the love of your life?). Pls let someone understand that reference 🫠

This short and sweet (and spicy) novella will certainly get you in the St. Patty’s day spirit with childhood best friends Gracie and Beck as they tackle what might be their last chance at ruining the friendship before graduating college.

We’re taken through not only present day, but also blasts from the pasts with both duel POV and a duel timeline.

My only hang up is I feel like we spent so much time leading up to the moment, once we finally get there, the novella is essentially over. I would’ve loved a slightly different pacing so we could’ve seen more of them actually together.

Bonus points for the Taylor Swift nods. I’ll forever (and always) be a sucker for a TS reference.

—————

Bad Bunny:
Read if you 🩵
🐰fated mates
🥚touch her and die
🐰shifter romances
🥚one bed
🐰mortal/magic
🥚fantasy romance

This novella was my first toe dip into not only the romantansy genres as a whole but the entire bonded/fated mates trope. With our FMC being a normal human mortal and the MMC being other worldly, this was absolutely the perfect read for someone looking to explore something outside of traditional romance.

If you’re looking for an insta-love, “my kingdom is in trouble and I kinda need your help to stop the evil and btw I’m also a bunny and you’re in danger” plot with some underlying notes of spring and Easter kinda vibe, this is your book. If you’re looking for an *actual* Easter read, maybe not the move.

—————

Claimed by Her Monsters:
Okay Lexi Davis…I see you.

This was so freaking fun and festive and HOT. Neither Fantasy/Romantasy nor why choose are usually something I reach for, but Lexi Davis is so i had to give her a go and let me tell you, I’m so glad I did!!

It was the perfect blend of Halloween monsters and spookiness with high spice that had a genuine plot.

Looking for a short, spooky, spicy read? This is your gal right here.

—————

Naughty Saint Nick:
I’m sorry, a walkie-talkie meet cute?! I’m a woman obsessed.

This was the perfect amount of heat, flirtation, and festive all wrapped into one bite sized novella about a single mom and her neighbor.

Their banter is hilarious and adorable in some instances, and hotttt af in others.

For a first impression of this author, she absolutely knocked it out of the park.

5 Spicy Novellas by Lexi Davis
Overall rating: 2.75/5 ⭐️

A mixed bag of monster romances, obsessive MMCs, wholesome friends-to-lovers, and cute holiday romances. Some premises were genuinely creative, while others left me wanting SO MUCH MORE. The biggest issue for me was the novella format: I often found myself wishing for more character development, better pacing, and a stronger emotional connection. Still, there were definitely some cute moments!

Claimed by Her Monsters — 2/5 ⭐️

The spooky Halloween atmosphere, mysterious mansion, and supernatural elements had so much potential, but the why-choose monster romance dynamics weren’t really my thing. I struggled to connect with the relationships, and I wanted more world-building and character development. Interesting concept, but the execution didn’t fully work for me.

Cupid Is a Liar — 3.5/5 ⭐️

An obsessive MMC who is completely down bad for the FMC? Sign me up. Damian and Hannah’s stalking romance had a surprisingly wholesome side to it, and I enjoyed the Valentine’s Day setting. My main issue was the length, as their relationship could have benefited from more development. The mafia-ish scene with Marco also wasn’t really my thing. Still, a cute, quick read for anyone who loves an obsessed love interest.

Bad Bunny — 2/5 ⭐️

The bunny shifter concept was SO original, and the combination of romantasy, magic, seasonal trials, and royal drama sounded incredibly promising. Unfortunately, I struggled to connect with the characters, and the emotional moments didn’t hit as hard as I wanted them to. The trials reminded me so much of Rise of the Guardians, which was probably my favourite part! I just wish the world-building and character development had been explored more. Also, WHY was the description of her father’s murder THAT detailed???

Gracie Gets Lucky — 2.75/5 ⭐️

Wholesome and cute, but a little bland. Childhood best friends, mutual pining, and an MMC who’s been in love with his best friend forever? Usually, that’s EXACTLY my thing. I enjoyed the flashbacks and the general dynamic between Gracie and Beck, but I expected something more chaotic and unhinged after the previous novellas. Everything felt a little predictable, and I never got fully invested in their romance. Cute? Yes. Did I need more? Absolutely.

Naughty Saint Nick — 3.5/5 ⭐️

Probably one of my favourites of the bunch! The WALKIE-TALKIE MEET-CUTE??? SO CREATIVE AND ADORABLE. I loved how Nick and Amber’s relationship developed through their conversations and late-night talks. Nick was such a sweetheart, and watching Amber slowly open up to someone again was genuinely heartwarming. The Christmas atmosphere and the balance between sweetness and spice made this a cozy, enjoyable read. Romance authors, PLEASE give us more creative meet-cutes like this.

Final thoughts

Overall, this collection was a mixed experience. I appreciated Lexi Davis’s creativity, especially when it came to the more unusual premises and the ways her characters meet, but not every story managed to deliver on its potential. Some were too short to develop their relationships properly, while others simply didn’t have enough plot or emotional depth to keep me invested.

My favourites were Cupid Is a Liar and Naughty Saint Nick, while Claimed by Her Monsters and Bad Bunny didn’t quite work for me. Gracie Gets Lucky was sweet, but I expected a little more excitement.

If you’re looking for quick, spicy reads with creative premises and don’t mind the limitations of novellas, this collection might be worth checking out. Just don’t go in expecting every story to be a five-star read!

Bad Bunny
I definitely felt like this was the most plot-heavy of the holiday novellas so far, and I loved it! I would have absolutely read a full length novel about them!
Like all these novellas so far, I thoroughly enjoyed all of it. This was an adorable and funny story of these two clashing together and figuring out the situation they find themselves in, and each other, and the same time.
lil' summary; elementary school teacher gets a class pet that turns out to be a rabbit-shifter king on the run, who is also her soulmate, who also needs her help to break into an egg and get a sword.

Gracie Gets Lucky
After being dumped by her boyfriend, Gracie decides St. Patrick’s Day is the perfect excuse the play around and have a one night stand. There’s definitely no reason to feel jealous that her best friend is dancing with the women around them.
Beck has been in love with his best friend for years, last he heard she was looking at rings, now she is here, and single, and apparently not looking for the same forever in a partner he wants with her.
Another amazing holiday novella from Lexi Davis and this may be my favourite one yet! I absolutely loved Gracie and Beck finding their way to each other, and deciding to give them a real shot. I even loved the flash backs which aren’t always something I enjoy. I love Kirsten’s BFF energy too. A perfect, quick and steamy read in time for the holiday.

Cupid is a Liar
Hannah was exited to finally try going out again. Like out out. For Valentines Day. She should have known it wouldn’t go as planned.
Damian was less than thrilled to see Hannah dressed to go out. Especially headed out to confront the problem of a man that was supposed to pick her up. Yet, it may be the push he needs to actually talk to her and not just watch her through the cameras in her apartment.
I absolutely adored this super sweet and spicy novella. I loved watching these two crash into each other and just keep rolling with their choices.

Naughty St Nick
At the end of Christmas day, Amber is trying to put her son’s new bike together when his new walkie comes to life nearby. Down the road, Nick is messing around with his niece’s new walkie talkie - never expecting to end up talking to the cute neighbor he’s seen around. A few conversations later and Nick ends up at Amber’s house in the middle of the night helping put that bike together... and eventually helping with some other Christmas wishes.
This was an adorable, short, sweet, and spicy novella. I loved the idea of these two finding each other coincidently through kids toys despite having already noticed each other around. Nick is definitely a bunch of green flags and I adored this read!

Claimed by Her Monsters
Claimed by Her Monsters is an 18+ MMMF, why choose, paranormal romance full of magic, spooky vibes, and of course spice.
Madison has grown up in foster care, after an incident with her foster brother, she is placed with a man who is supposedly a distant relative. Taken back to his home she ends up meeting his friends and ends up learning much more about them - and herself - than she could have expected.
My only wish for this book was that it was a full length novel instead of a novella. I loved every aspect of this book and loved all the characters.
I loved seeing the relationships between Madison and her men come to light and how they all slowly came to the realization about her and about them in turn. I loved the small glimpse into this world of magic and rituals we get to see. I would highly recommend checking out this novella when it releases this October!

thank you to the author, the publisher, and netgalley for this arc! all opinions are my own :)

3 stars ~ ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆
format: e-book
genre: holiday romance

“i've never wanted to own you. only to be chosen. to choose you.”

thoughts - might contain light spoilers, but no plot or twist reveals;

okay so admittedly my biggest issue with this book was the marketing versus what it actually was. its marketed as spicy holiday novellas so i went into this thinking it would me mostly spice with holiday themes but i was very, very wrong. i wouldn't even call these spicy novellas - i would call them romance novellas with a bit of spice. overall there was like 5% smut (this is a rough estimation but i tried to keep count because i felt like i had gotten the concept totally wrong). now of course theres nothing wrong with that but that wasnt what i expected at all, so i felt a bit disappointed.

the writing is great, the spice is steamy and the holiday themes are well integrated into these novellas. theres something for everyone and the stories themselves are good. i think i was ultimately just let down by expectations vs reality here - and had those expectations been set more clearly i think i would have enjoyed this a lot more.

i did find that the male characters had more depth whereas the female characters lacked personality and i found that to be a bit of a shame.

claimed by her monsters - 2 stars ~ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆
the vibes in this ones are great even though i wasnt a fan of the witchy theme. i was intrigued by the characters from the get go but ultimately it ended up being too silly.
most of the novella was spent yapping about things i just didnt really care about. the smut was good but there was like half a chapter of it out of almost 30 chapters. i unfortunately didnt really feel this one.

cupid is a liar - 4 stars ~ ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆
this one is action-packed and i love the mafia themes. it was also a bit silly but at least there was plenty of plot even if it wasnt super realistic.
i wish it had been darker!

bad bunny - 5 stars ~ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
i didnt expect this one to be my favorite but it was delightfully different. it was the longest one so it had more depth than the others and was both funny and relatable.
i love when authors dare to take risks and this one was unlike anything ive read and the story felt meaningful.
again there was more fighting than there was spice but at least this one was spicier than the rest.

gracie gets lucky - 3 stars ~ ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆
i love me a good friends to lovers arc and this one was cute.
i did find the mmc a bit red flag-y because why was he mad about being friendzoned to the point where he made her feel bad about it? i also didnt care for the miscommunication trope here.

naughty saint nick - 4 stars ~ ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆
what a literal banger to end with. this one was super cute, christmas-y and fluffy.
theres more smut in this one - unfortunately since the other ones didnt have much i wasnt in the mood for smut anymore so it ended up being a bit of a whiplash, lol. and there was a bit of miscommunication trope creeping into this one too.
overall however i liked the characters, the plot and the vibes.

I love a good novella. Sometimes I just want a quick little romance where I can get all the tension, spice, and happily ever after without committing to 400 pages. And this collection was great for that! Some stories were definitely better than others, but I had a really good time reading them.

Naughty Saint Nick was easily my favorite. As a single mom, I think I appreciated this one a little more than most. The fantasy of having someone come into your life who genuinely wants to take care of you, loves that you’re a mom, and embraces your children as part of the package… even the thought of having someone take care of things for just one night sounds pretty wonderful. And then add a thoughtful, ridiculously attractive man who’s waving all the green flags and some fantastic spice? I loved it. Nick was so sweet and attentive, and I really enjoyed how much he adored Amber and everything that came with loving her. This one is a solid 4.5 stars for me, maybe even five. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

Gracie Gets Lucky was another favorite, but for different reasons. This one had a lot more emotion, which I really appreciated. Childhood best friends who have been carrying feelings for each other for years, all that yearning, and finally getting the chance to explore what they’ve been avoiding? I liked that! I also enjoyed the flashbacks showing how their relationship developed over the years. There’s something really sweet about a romance where the friendship was already there long before anything else happened. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cupid Is a Liar was actually the first one I read, so it’s been a little while, and I don’t remember every detail. But I do remember really enjoying it! A mysterious, slightly stalker-ish neighbor who turns out to be completely devoted to the woman he’s been watching, with some Valentine’s Day chaos thrown in. It’s one of those romances that probably works much better in fiction than it ever would in real life, but I liked it. Sweet, spicy, and a little unhinged. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Claimed by Her Monsters was my spooky little Halloween read, and it was definitely an unusual one! A haunted house, mystery, monsters, and plenty of spice. It was fun, a little ridiculous, and not something I would normally gravitate toward, but I enjoyed it for what it was. I do think this one could have benefited from a little more character development and a stronger connection between the characters. But for a quick, spicy Halloween novella? It was entertaining.⭐️⭐️⭐️

And then there’s Bad Bunny. Yeah… this one was not for me. I can appreciate a magical/fantasy premise, and I’ve certainly enjoyed some pretty unusual romances, but this one was just a little too far for my taste. It contains a magical bunny biting us turning into a gorgeous man and dragging us into an entire fantasy adventure while being hunted. It was just a little too outlandish, and I couldn’t really get into it. ⭐️⭐️

But four out of five isn’t bad at all! The other stories were somewhere between three and four stars for me, with Naughty Saint Nick being the clear winner. I really appreciate how much Lexi can pack into these little novellas. They’re quick, entertaining, spicy, and most of them gave me exactly what I wanted from a short romance.

Having first found Lexi Davis through her Why-choose Halloween novella Claimed by Her Monsters, the moment I saw that there were four other spicy holiday novellas I was immediately requesting to read them!

I really enjoyed the fact that there was something for every reader in this set. We have paranormal, shifters, stalker and two friends to lovers. Each one I felt caught my attention immediately and had me hooked throughout the novella.

I truly appreciated how there were trigger warnings at the beginning of each novella and I just really liked the way Lexi Davis wrote them. It was not just a basic list but what felt like a conversation. The delicacy with which she wrote them illustrated to me as a reader how much she cared for the reader and it showcased on the page with her characters.

In Cupid is a Liar we have a stalker neighbour romance where not only is he always watching, he has been struck rather forcefully with Cupid’s arrow! I would really like a Damian in my life. I will take a side of stalking with how much he truly cared about Hannah.

In Gracie Gets Lucky we have childhood best friends who become lovers after one St. Patrick’s Day pub hangout where they can no longer deny that there are feelings when the issue of possibly losing each other is forced out onto the dance floor. As someone who doesn’t always enjoy childhood friends to lovers, I found I did struggle with the continual time jumps back to their childhood. It did build the story very well providing the necessary context to who they had become.

In Bad Bunny we have Sorren, a rabbit shifter who is actually a wounded prince from an other realm meets the teacher who recently brought a bunny into her classroom. Where they go from a bunny bite to a bonded mate to running for their lives in order to defeat the powers of Sorren’s uncle. Did I think that I would be totally enthralled with a bunny shifter romance? Nope. But I definitely was! This was definitely a novella where I really wanted to have had an entire novel to have delved into more. It was such an interesting and captivating story.

In Claimed by Her Monsters we have three monsters who find that their new housemate is way more than she seems. Okay hear me out... we've got not one, not two, BUT three hot AF monster men. Like this is the why choose of all why chooses (is that even a word?) Like hot vampire, built lumberjack werewolf and the embodiment of our we wished Casper had stayed Devon Sawa in the ghostly emo Caspian! Like YES PLEASE!

Once I started this spicy halloween novella I could not put it down. May I please have a Alister, Mick & Caspian. One at a time, all together, I wouldn't be picky.

In Naughty Saint Nick we have neighbours connected by a toy walkie talkie. What starts off as just static on a kid’s radio turns into much more when Saint Nick shows how he too can be naughty and nice. Okay, well if this one wasn’t a Christmas wish come true, I don’t know what would be. I loved Nick’s need to protect and take care of those around him. How he saw Amber as being both soft and strong. After the ribbon scene I feel like I am always going to think about it when I am wrapping presents.

These were all such fun, quick reads! I was in a bit of a reading slump when I received this ARC, and this collection was exactly what I needed. A little bit of everything, plenty of chaos, and some seriously entertaining romances! 😂❤️‍🔥

🎃 Claimed by Her Monsters
This was NOT at all what I was expecting, but in the best way! Was it a why choose romance? Yes. Did it actually make sense that she needed all three? Also yes. 😂 This was such a wild story, and I genuinely enjoyed it! Honestly, I would love to see this expanded into a full length novel because I need to know more about their story, the characters, and everything that led up to Halloween night. Give me the backstory!

💘 Cupid Is a Liar
I am a SUCKER for a fierce FMC, and this woman did not disappoint! She gets stood up, and instead of sitting around feeling sorry for herself, she goes to give that man a piece of her mind. WE LOVE TO SEE IT. 👏🏼

This stalker romance brought all the touch her and die vibes, with her neighbor deciding she absolutely should not confront the man alone. And then? CHAOS. Between panic attacks, shootouts, and an almost-date who could see the chemistry between the FMC and MMC, this was one wild ride!

🐰 Bad Bunny
Okay, this one was WILD. 😂 A prince from another world is trying to escape his evil uncle who is trying to claim his crown, he escapes to Earth where he… turns into a RABBIT. And somehow ends up as the FMC’s classroom pet!

Romantasy isn’t always my usual go-to, but I was WAY too invested in this story to put it down. I needed to know what happened to our bunny prince and his human fated mate. The premise alone had me hooked!

🍀 Gracie Gets Lucky
This one took me straight back to my college days of going out on St. Patrick’s Day and drinking absolutely terrible green beer all day. 😂

A sweet friends-to-lovers romance featuring lifelong best friends, a man who’s been in love with her, and a woman who’s been too afraid to risk losing him by admitting her own feelings. Getting to see their past and present unfold as Gracie finally faces her fears was so sweet. I love a good happily ever after, and this one delivered!

🎅🏼 Naughty Saint Nick
A single mom facing her first Christmas alone, a man determined to save the holiday for his sister and her kids while her husband is deployed, and a very unexpected connection thanks to a pair of walkie-talkies. Tell me that’s not adorable! 🥹

When their walkie-talkies connect late on Christmas night, these two strike up an instant connection. He’s a gentleman who genuinely wants to respect her boundaries… mostly. 😂 This one brought the holiday romance vibes, and I was absolutely here for it!

Overall, this collection was exactly what I needed to get out of my reading slump! The novellas were quick, entertaining, and each brought something different to the table. Whether you’re in the mood for a little monster romance, a chaotic stalker romance, an unexpected romantasy, a sweet friends-to-lovers story, or a holiday romance, there’s something here to enjoy.

Perfect for when you want a quick romance read without committing to a full-length novel! ❤️

~ review ~

I read each of these novellas individually when they were released but to have them very conveniently compiled into one book, fantastic! Lexi Davis has ever so kindly just made my re-reading a lot easier.
I recommend every single one of these novellas to romance readers who are partial to some delicious open-door spice. Each one focuses on a different holiday and can easily be read in a single sitting.

Cupid Is a Liar ~ 5✨
An unconventional romance, an oddly endearing stalker, Russian mafia and an antisocial cat. GIVE THIS STORY A WHOLE DAMN BOOK 👏🏼😍 Damian and Hannah were literally two halves of a whole. Their chaotic rollercoaster of a story was such a treat and I would LOVE to hear more from them in the future (nudge, hint, wink)…

Gracie Gets Lucky ~ 4✨
An entertaining, endearing bite size treat filled with soft emotion, banter and sizzling chemistry. Gracie and Beck, aaargh. I loved them. She was strong willed and confident, he was protective and down BAD. Their ability to mask their true feelings however… poor, very poor! I understand not wanting to ruin the friendship but they were only delaying the inevitable. It was one of those ‘just do the damn thing already’ situations. Safe to say, I was very pleased with the ending!

Bad Bunny ~ 5✨
A fast paced, action packed, soft but serious tale that will break your heart and stitch it right back together again. I’m talking humour and wit, emotion and trauma, spice and… more spice, tension and drama. Bad Bunny has officially taken the crown from Cupid is a Liar and I desperately need more Nora and Sorren in my life.

Claimed by Her Monsters ~ 4✨
A tense, mysterious, why-choose, paranormal tale involving 4 strong, intriguing characters (1 FMC & 3MMCs), a slightly haunted house, a very intense game of monopoly and some seriously hot open door spice! It’s steamy, spooky and the perfect length to devour in one sitting. Talk about tricks & treats 👀..

Naughty Saint Nick ~ 4✨
A fun, snappy, cosy yet spicy Christmas treat. I went into this expecting a fair amount of heat and spice lovers, don’t fret - there was some wonderfully steamy action! However I was pleasantly surprised by how wholesome Amber & Nick’s story turned out to be. With the magic of Christmas running throughout, Lexi blended soft emotion with just the right amount of heat to create a really enjoyable festive love story.

Thank you to the wonderful Lexi Davis and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC. This is my honest opinion and I’m sharing it voluntarily❣️

CLAIMED BY HER MONSTERS: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The plot of this novella was intriguing and I loved reading about all the characters. It felt like I was totally engrossed in a different world. The writing style was extraordinary and overall I enjoyed this short story.

NAUGHTY SAINT NICK: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I just loved this novella a lot and is one of my best reads. Amber and Nick had this amazing chemistry and the walkie talkie played an important role in it. Nick, what a green flag main lead he is. He truly stole my heart. The way he understood Amber and loved her unconditionally made me emotional. The nickname 'Vixen' and 'Saint nick' they gave to each other were adorable. I enjoyed every moment of this story. The plot and the characters were exceptional.

GRACIE GETS LUCKY:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Gracie gets Lucky ' by Lexi Davis is a beautiful St.Patrick's day novella. It revolves around childhood friends 'Gracie' and 'Beck'. There is a dual timeline in this and the Flashbacks of their childhood and how they became friends is really sweet.

The character development of Gracie and Beck was well written and I did truly cherish their journey from Friendship to Lovers. It was not sudden but in a gradual sweet way they did realize their Love for each other. Their Family background did play an important role in the depth of their relationship.

The confession scene was really mind-blowing and I did enjoy the little meaningful moments between them. One can easily read this novella in one sitting. Overall this was a wholesome heartwarming read.

BAD BUNNY:⭐⭐⭐⭐

Bad Bunny by Lexi Davis is a spicy fantasy Bunny shifter novella. It revolves around Nora and Sorren. While reading this book one can feel they are in a different world and I really did enjoy every element of this story. The whole set up and all the magical elements were really interesting. The chemistry between the main leads was terrific and I did like how their relationship had depth even in a short span of time. The action packed scenes were really amazing. I enjoyed reading the concept of bond and Fated mates in a fantasy world.

CUPID IS A LIAR: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Cupid is a Liar' by Lexi davis is a fast paced dark rom-com Valentine novella. This book feels like a rollercoaster ride and can easily be read in one sitting. The whole plot is just a beautiful chaos and I did experience a adrenaline rush while reading this book.

The character of 'Damian' was well written and I did like him the most in this whole plot. The adventurous journey of main leads brings so much joy and at the end one can't stop smiling while reading about them.

The most adorable character was Mr. Wriggles, the cat and I just loved his role in the story. Overall I did enjoy this story a lot and I would highly recommend this to anyone who want to experience thrill in a short span of time.👍

Genre: Romance, Paranormal Romance, Holiday Romance

Rating: 2.75/5 stars

A little bit of everything, from monster romance to sweet holiday love stories, but some of these definitely needed more time to shine!

Review

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This collection takes readers through a variety of romances, featuring everything from monster lovers and possessive MMCs to wholesome friendships turning into something more. I enjoyed seeing the different ideas Lexi Davis came up with, especially some of the more unusual setups. Unfortunately, the execution was a little hit or miss for me.

What worked for me

- The creativity: I liked the variety of tropes and holiday settings. Some of the concepts were so interesting that I wished they had been explored further.
- My favourites: Claimed by Her Monsters and Naughty Saint Nick stood out the most to me. I enjoyed both the characters and the direction of their stories, and they were easily my highlights of the collection.
- The lighter moments: There were some genuinely cute and entertaining scenes throughout, which made this an enjoyable collection to pick up whenever I wanted something quick.

What could have been stronger

I think the short length worked against quite a few of these stories. I wanted more time to understand the characters, watch their relationships develop, and feel more invested in their romances. Some of the novellas felt like they would have been better additions to an existing series, where the characters could have more room to grow. While a few worked well enough on their own, others felt underdeveloped and left me wishing there was more substance beyond the initial premise.

Who would enjoy this book?

If you're in the mood for short, spicy romances with holiday themes, unconventional pairings, monster romance, and possessive love interests, this collection might be worth checking out.

Final thoughts

There were some fun ideas here, and I can see the appeal of the different romances. However, the stories were a little too hit or miss for me, with several feeling like they needed more room to develop. Claimed by Her Monsters and Naughty Saint Nick were the standouts, but the collection as a whole didn't quite meet my expectations.

Sizzling, spicy, seductive, salacious, scandalous, and absolutely STUNNING! If life were a box of sexy novellas, then these 5 would absolutely make my box! Lexi Davis holds true to her promise of a quickie, but a satisfying happy ending to boot, no complaints here.
Whether you hearts falls hard for a why choose with a blustery October setting in a haunted castle with monster, who play monopoly, of all things, then this cross love fest is absolutely for your reading pleasure! Tall, dark and handsome, protective, hot headed maniac and slender, silent and sensitive - they are all yours to keep!
If you heart prefers a silent obsession, a devotion to your every need and yet craves control and understanding, then follow our hacker as he finds his stalkee about to embark on a murderous valentine revenge, the strong and secure individual and the sunshine sparkler he's angling after, he knows her every move and is scared of love - absolutely cute and special!!!
Childhood friends who discover they are luckier together, as their story unfolds from childhood, with throw back after throwback, in a decidedly long list of lost opportunities, and an unrequited love built off teasing and comforting through a lifetime of defeats, specially for the one who got away, which left you wondering .. what if...
Discover a magical world, and find your soulmate accidentally in a cage by the side of the street, for the romantasy fans who crave a meeting of mates and a strong sense of self - Nora was my absolute favorite of the lot!! I mean easter bunny madness!!!
For the hot mamas out there, comes a hot, spicy and double entendre exchange over walki talkies, grab on to your leftover ribbons and join Amber on a rocky and rough night to delight your senses and bring out your inner femme fatale!
I mean - these tales were an absolute pleasure to devour! My gratitude to Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op and Netgalley for the ARC and to Lexi davis, you owe me a good night's sleep because this book did not get its claws off me till I finished it!
