This was such a fun paranormal-lite erotic rom-com (I know 🤣). The premise alone had me like, Whatchu mean you kill men by having sex with them? 😂 And somehow, it worked!
I really liked how much depth there was to the story, particularly getting a feel for her moral center and how conflicted she was about the way she was. She didn’t understand why she was the way she was, didn’t particularly like it, and had essentially resigned herself to a life of loneliness because of it. So I found myself really rooting for her as she navigated those feelings and began to realize she might not have to face them alone. 🥹
I’m not a big paranormal reader, but I absolutely enjoyed this. It was funny, sexy, a little sentimental, and I loved how much the author managed to pack into such a short story. I’d definitely read more stories in this style.

Nova was in a predicament where all she wanted was to be sexually satisfied but due to certain things happening when she got her release, she was hesitant to get her urges satisfied. After moving towns for a job opportunity, she is hoping to get a fresh start but she still has that desire in her. When she met Suede she met her match and he was exactly who she needed and that tail, yeah, iykyk.
This was a short read that gave us a unique storyline with Nova and her situation. It had paranormal elements but I don't think it was too deep with shifting and things so if you are new to the genre and want to try it out, I think this is a good starting point. Of course, it wouldn't be a Shay Dawn read without the comedic factors and spice that I have come to love from her books.

Happy Release Day! 🥳
Per usual, Shay gave us spice & hilarity with this novella! Novi and Suede had themselves a TIME, and I had a good time right along with them. I'm looking forward to seeing who else we meet from Serenity Falls.
Underneath all the chaos, there was also a sweet little thread about self-discovery, connection, and finding where you belong.

good, quick read
Good premise. Loved the titled chapters. Good, quick read. Definitely could’ve been fleshed out a little as it felt a bit rushed but I enjoyed it overall. I liked the curse element on top of the paranormal part.

The way this story started I wasn't sure how it was going to go, but it is Shay Dawn, so you know she has a little twist coming. At some point we meet Suede, and I was not prepared in the best way. I had a fun visit to Serenity Falls with this cute lil twist on a succubus who is completely clueless about her powers and abilities. I’ll be honest, I had NO idea where this was going, but because I’m a paranormal lover, I stuck beside it…. and I enjoyed the ride. It was funny, sexy, and had a lil bit of depth to it too. For someone who hasn't read paranormal romance in a while this is a great quick story to fulfill that need.

Novi was quite a character, making this a truly fun and quick read. This was my first time reading anything by Shay Dawn, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m definitely looking forward to reading more of her work!
