Holy fuck. This book absolutely wrecked me in the best possible way.

I have to start by saying that in the first few chapters, I was CONVINCED I was not going to like Holland. Like… genuinely questioning how I was going to make it through this book if she was the FMC. Abby Moore made me completely eat my words. By the end, I loved Holland, understood her, hurt for her, and was rooting for her with my entire heart.

This story was raw, emotional, heartbreaking, beautiful, and REAL. I cried, like actually bawled. There were moments that completely crushed me, moments that put me back together, and so many ups and downs that I genuinely did not want to put the book down.

And the MMC. I already loved this man, but somehow I walked away loving him even more. That's all I'm saying because you need to experience this story for yourself.

And this wasn't just a romance. There is SO much story and plot packed into these pages. The grief, family, love, loss, healing, suspense, and relationships all felt meaningful and real.

Going from “I don't think I like this FMC” to being completely emotionally invested in her was something I did NOT expect.

Absolutely 5 stars. Abby Moore, you got me.

ARC READ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½

Abby Moore got me again. 🖤

Morally gray, completely unhinged MMC who is a dick to basically everyone except her and her kids? Yep. I’m listening.

The Panther’s Last Prowl gave me the dark romance I expected, but there was so much more actual story and emotion behind it than just spice. I loved being back in the world that started with The Viper’s Den, and Levi and Holland were such an unexpected pairing that somehow just worked.

I read this in 24 hours—which, between running a business and chauffeuring children everywhere, is basically my highest form of praise. 😂

There were a few moments where I wanted the dialogue to feel a little more natural, but overall this kept me hooked and absolutely made me want to read more from Abby Moore.

4.5 ⭐️ | Dark romance | Morally gray MMC | Found family | Enemies to lovers

If you’re going to read this one, do yourself a favor and start with the series. The history makes it hit so much harder. 🖤

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review. No spoilers here—go experience the emotional damage yourself. 😂

No spoilers here, but I will recommend a box of tissues and time.

The plot and story is amazing. I couldn’t believe the emotional journey I went through. I was sad, mad I even cried a few times.
The way the author writes it makes you feel all the emotions is insane.

Imagine loosing the love of your life and receiving a box of letters that HE wrote for every birthday, holiday or moments you were supposed to celebrate together, yes is heartbreaking💔💔

The way the story continues from book 2 and the end of this book would blow your mind away, trust me,,,,,if you read book 1 and 2 you know what I’m talking about, Levi REALLY yeah didn’t see that coming any of it.

So sad this the end I would’ve love to read Amara and Griffin’s story❤️❤️

This is one of my favorite mafia series, I loved all 3 books.📕

& Abby does it again!!

I’m always blown away by how much Abby pours into her books and I expected nothing less with PLP.

I cried SO MUCH. So seriously have the tissues at the ready. I went on an emotional roller coaster and loved every moment. I really connected with Holland as a mother. I enjoyed watching Levi grow.

This is a dark romance so please check your trigger warnings and take care of yourself!

If you love a good dark romance, you should add this one to your shelf.

Also Abby has chapter titles and that’s something I LOVE.

I’m so thankful to Abby for the e-arc copy!

This was an ARC I was blessed to receive. What can I say, the hurt, the pain, the forgiveness and the yearning…. You will eat this book up. Can be read as a stand alone which is key and it isn’t 600 plus pages, also key, as I’m so sick of extremely long books. It’s just not necessary! Authors take note, we do not want excessively long reads. Just break them into two parts! If you want a fast read that will have you looking for your own dark prince, look no further!

This gripped me right from the beginning. The first few chapters, wow. This book was full of twists & turns both in plot & emotion. A roller coaster ride in the best ways.

This book had me feeling all types of things in the first 20% alone. The heartbreak & loss in this book had me needing to put it down many times to wipe away all my tears.

This family has me all in & wanting more. I hope we get more books about the other brothers.

I didn’t know what to expect since this is my first book by this author. Let me tell you she can freaking write. I went into this book almost completely blind. All I knew was: darkish mafia with some trigger warnings. I was not prepared for what happened in chapter 11.

You could feel the love from the first page and that’s hard to come by sometimes. That’s one of reason why it was such a roller coaster of emotions. The found Family was amazing. It definitely has set up nicely for the other brothers. I am also hoping that there is a second gen for these characters. Because Sullivan, he’s gonna be great.

Holland is a single mom (Sullivan 5 & Georgia 3) working through trauma and healing. She has to dig herself out of darkness to be able to be there for her kids. While also trying to be the woman she knows she can be.

Levi is the Playboy that never wanted to be tied down because in his line of work there is only one way out. He does not want to put a family through that. He was obsessed once he started taking care of them. It was amazing watching him grow into the man he never thought he could be.

What to expect:
🐆 Enemies to lovers
🖤 Mafia romance
🐆 Healing/trauma
🖤 Single Mom
🐆 Unhinged MMC
🖤 Chosen Family
🐆 Strong FMC
🖤 Slow burn

Please check trigger warnings.

Thank you, Abby Moore for the early copy. Above are my honest thoughts.

I don’t even know how to talk about this book without giving anything away, so I’m just going to say this: READ THIS SERIES!!!

The Panther’s Last Prowl was absolutely incredible. I laughed, I cried, I cried some more, and at one point I’m pretty sure Abby Moore was personally trying to destroy me!! This book broke my heart and somehow managed to put it back together again.

You absolutely need to read this series in order. Start with Vipers Den, then Vipers Lair, and finish with The Panther’s Last Prowl. Trust me, you want the entire journey with these characters before getting to this book.

If you love mafia romance with forbidden romance, bodyguard × mafia princess, broody MMCs, protective men, found family, and characters you become WAY too emotionally attached to, this series is for you. I absolutely love these MMCs and FMCs, and by the time I reached this book, Abby had me completely invested in all of them.

This series is dark, emotional, romantic, heartbreaking, and SO flipping good!!! The Panther’s Last Prowl was everything I wanted it to be, and I genuinely wish I could experience all three books for the first time again.

Five stars. No question. Read all three—and have the tissues ready.

so blessed to have been able to read this as an ARC!!
this was truly the first story that made me sob. I needed to walk away for a minute at one point because I was just having so many emotions. this story was so beautifully written and shows what found family is and how heartbreak can happen but how to learn to find another love in that. the FMC was willing to stand up and show love and support when he knew he was needed and never backed down even when healing needed to occur. the FMC and MMC both went through growth to find that in themselves. found family, touch her and 💀, single parent. i absolutely devoured this book and cannot wait for everyone to read it. releases november 17th!

Abby really outdid herself with Panther’s Last Prowl. This is a gripping story of danger, desire, and choices that change everything. With high stakes, intense chemistry, and secrets lurking beneath the surface, it’s the kind of read that keeps you wondering who to trust and what’s coming next.

The pacing was great for those who enjoy being drawn in and not being able to put it down until it’s finished. I don’t often cry with books and this one had me in my feels within the first few chapters!

Not only is it passionate but also a totally unexpected unraveling experience. Great arc development for the FMC and growth beyond measure of the MMC. The spice was SPICY 🥵🥵🥵🤭🤭🤭 and this is a book you’ll leave begging for more! Can’t wait to see what comes next!

I had the amazing pleasure of being an ARC reader for this book! Even though it can be read as a stand alone I did read the first two in the series so I can get a better knowledge on all the characters once I received this one. I absolutely devoured it! Best in the series so far! It had me kicking my feet and giggling like a teenager but also crying my eyes out. A great mix of spice and action. I absolutely love Levi and can’t wait to read the next ones in the series!!

⚠️ Spoiler-ish warning! ⚠️ There may be a couple of light spoilers in this review, so if you’re not okay with that, stop reading now! 👀

⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️½/5

I genuinely enjoyed Panther’s Last Prowl! It was such a fun, easy read, and I definitely had a good time with this one. The family dynamic and found-family trope were some of my favorite parts because they fit the vibe of this book SO well. 🥹

And I have to mention one of my favorite lines because it absolutely sent me:

“Your shoes aren't tight enough, and I'd hate for you to trip in them on your way home from your date.”

Like… excuse me?! 😂 The sass. The attitude. The threat disguised as concern. I loved it. 👏

Now for my little but… 👀

I felt like there was a little too much focus on Holland’s relationship with Theo. About 22% of the book is made up of chapters involving Holland and Theo, and I found myself wishing we had gotten more development between Holland and Levi instead. We get very little information about why Holland hates Levi—just a brief mention—so I didn’t feel like we got enough buildup to really sell the enemies-to-lovers aspect of their relationship.

I also wish this book had been a little longer. I think having more time to develop Holland and Levi’s relationship would have made things feel less rushed, especially considering she had just lost her husband. I wanted to see more of that emotional transition and really watch their relationship develop instead of feeling like it happened a little too quickly.

BUT overall? I had a good time! 🖤 It was entertaining, easy to get through, and I really enjoyed the family/found-family vibes. And yes, I’ll absolutely be continuing the series because I need to see where this story goes! 👀📚

This book took me on one hell of an emotional roller coaster. There is grief, love, violence, torture, kidnapping, loss, healing, finding yourself and most importantly finding the people who become your family.

Holland loses her husband Theo and is left to navigate life with her two children, while his best friend a secret mafia prince Levi, steps in with a promise to protect and take care of them. What starts with heartbreak and loss slowly becomes something so much deeper.

I really liked Theo, but man… this book made me LOVE Levi. He matured page after page and turned into the man you knew he could become.

And Charlotte… ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?! YES, QUEEN! That full-circle moment you gave her. I couldn’t have been prouder of that girl!

AND can we talk about Crew Landon being in this book?! My Adult Goals heart was VERY happy about that!

The Panthers Last Prowl gave me something I wasn’t expecting. It was a beautiful, emotional story about love, loss, healing, strength and finding yourself with people who refuse to let you face the darkness alone.
Abby Moore - you broke my heart, put it back together and somehow made me wish I could read it all over again for the first time.
Well done! It’s fantastic!

I read this book as an ARC read and I will say it was a sit down and read this bad boy all the way through because it had me sat.

I'd say for sure make time to read both Vipers Den and Vipers Lair...because you will get to know and understand the characters far better. I fully believe you could read it as a stand alone, but it's so much better having read the first 2 in the series.

I don't want to have my review posted with spoilers so I will try my best to convince you to read this series without any.

This book goes into Theo and Holland life. Theo works for the mafia while his wife Holland believes that he is in the military. And what happens when she finds out the truth...far more to it then that, but I will leave it at that so I won't spoil it for you.

I don't know how she did it, but Abby made me feel like I was in the thick of it all and I can now say I am a mafia romance girlie. She made me fall for Charlie and how strong and resilient she is in the first two books. She is absolutely loving and kind. Then all of her family, her brothers oh Banks, Levi, Phoenix and Griffin and her father Dimitri 😍 how are they mafia???

I read all three books in this series in about a week and a half and so glad I did. Thankfully she is going to be continuing on and giving the brothers each their own book! I need them all asap!

I received this book from the author and read it as an ARC! 10/10 recommend!Panther’s Last Prowl hooked me pretty quickly. By chapter 8/9 I was locked in. I loved Holland and Theo so much and was totally unprepared for not only the loss of him, but the way we lost him! Watching her and her kids lose him and go through all of that broke my heart!
My gut told me that something was going to developed between her and Levi and I wasn’t sure how I felt about that at first but the way he loved and protected her as well as took the time to make her feel safe and give her a solid place to land just…ugh went straight to my heart! There were definitely some darker moments, but what made Hollander really relatable to me was her determination to do what was best for her kids and protect them at all costs. As a mom that part hit me hard!
I enjoyed watching Levi and Hollander grow into something solid not in spite of their circumstances but because of the! Overall I really enjoyed this book and all of the emotions that I experienced while reading it!

The Panther’s Last Prowl by Abby Moore
The Dance of Serpents and Men, Book Three

5 stars

An emotional story of loss, healing, family, and unexpected love.

After Theo is killed during a Vipers mission, Holland must raise their two children while grieving the life they shared. Levi, Theo’s brother-in-arms, refuses to let them face their loss alone.

Holland’s grief felt honest and relatable, while Levi’s growth was deeply moving. The letters Theo left behind were heartbreaking, capturing the love and pain of the milestones he would miss.

This story made me cry, smile, and hope. The suspense and darker mafia elements added depth, while the emotional journey made it unforgettable.

Thank you, Abby, for the ARC and for trusting me with Holland and Levi’s story. I will always read your books.

ARC REVIEW
3.5/5 ⭐️

I did not expect this book to make me cry as much as it did. There was one particular scene involving the children that completely broke me, and I genuinely had to put the book down for a moment. The emotional impact of that scene stayed with me, and it was easily one of the most memorable parts of the book for me.

The way the story portrays grief and its impact on the family was probably what resonated with me the most. There are some genuinely heartbreaking moments, and I appreciated how much emotion the story brings to the characters and their relationships.

My main issue was the romance between Holland and Levi. I had a hard time fully getting into their relationship because everything develops quite quickly, especially given the circumstances. I think I would have connected with them more if their feelings had been given a little more room to develop naturally.

Overall, this was a moving read with some truly emotional moments. While the romance did not completely work for me, the family dynamics and exploration of grief made the story worthwhile.

This was such a fantastic read. Abby really knows how to show the depth of loss, grief, and how much of a roller coaster it is to navigate your feelings through it all. The perfect amount of spice, dark aspects, and plot development.

I can’t wait to read more about the vipers and all of their shenanigans.

This was my first experience receiving an Advance Reader Copy, and I am so grateful to the author for the opportunity. At first, I wasn't sure if this dark romance would be for me, but I was completely proven wrong. In the first half alone, the emotional depth of the writing caught me off guard and brought me to tears on three separate occasions. It was such a pleasant surprise, and I am officially a fan who cannot wait to dive into the rest of this author’s catalog.
