Tecumseh: A Life from Beginning to End

Rate this book
Discover the remarkable life of Tecumseh...
Tecumseh was a great and powerful Shawnee leader who rose to prominence at the turn of the nineteenth century, as US expansion pushed ever deeper into Native American lands west of the Appalachians. Tecumseh led not only his tribe but a grand confederation of tribes. He built alliances where others had failed and came closer than anyone before or since to uniting Native peoples across an entire continent under a single banner. But his life was more than that. He was also a son, a brother, a husband, a father, and to many, a beloved friend.

This book takes a deep dive into Tecumseh's achievements as well as the personal anecdotes behind them. From his boyhood on the Scioto to leading the largest tribal confederation in Native American history, we will explore the life and legend of Tecumseh in full.
