Ein Ende seiner Geschichte ist auch heute nicht absehbar.

very concise analysis of racism. by putting the terms in their historical context and tracking their transformations Geulen isolates the structural underbelly of racist thought and practice sometimes unveiling the counter-intuitive: racist dynamics are less built on essentialism and ideas of fundamental superiority/inferiority than we might think. those he claims are but the innate exaggerations of racist practice and should not be confused with the core of what constitutes racism as an ideology. it is not a unchanging world of eternal truths the racist comfortably lives in. what makes racism so extremely dangerous are precisely the notions of fundamental change, of natural struggle, of constant threat posed by the imagined existence of a potentially overpowering other.
