Newly divorced and deeply wounded, all Reese Montgomery wants is to find true love. After her ex-husband tells her she no longer measures up and then unceremoniously dumps her, she realizes her background--a father in prison, an alcoholic mother--makes her undesirable. When she meets Brody Ford on a beach in Malibu, her attraction is instant, as is her certainty that they are all wrong for each other.

Brody, a self-made man from a close-knit family, is lonely. After losing the woman he loves in a car accident, he believes he'll never love again. When a chance encounter brings Reese into his life, something about her touches him. And he wants more. But her reluctance to open her heart forces him to work harder to win her over than he's ever had to work before.

Will they be able to heal the hurts each carries, or are they too wounded to find the love they're searching for?

Waves of Longing is an awesome and amazing read. I absolutely loved this. Reese and Brody both have something that has happened in their past that has made them both a bit heartbroken. Meeting by chance, they both start to slowly get to know each other. The question is, will they fall for each other?

I really loved reading about their time together. The feelings Reese had throughout are something I think a lot of people can relate too. Brody is awesome, sweet, sexy and caring. It was nice to see him, although sure of himself, make mistakes often. But he never gave up and kept on trying. These two really make a cute couple. There are a couple times that I wanted to scream at them but managed to keep calm. Noelle Stevens has captured my attention with another love story and I can't wait to get more.

I love Noelle Stevens books & this new series doesn't disappoint.

Reese is struggling to adjust to the path her life is on. She isn't didn't think she would end up in a RV, with no real home, searching for herself. Brody is starting to recover from the harsh blows life has hit him with. He's surfing with his brother. She's finally worked up the nerve to swim in the ocean for the first time. A scary wave instigates their chance meeting and neither will ever be the same.

Waves of Longing is not a typical summer love turned forever romance. It's full of angst, heartbreak and twists that will leave you wanting book 2.

This is a lovely story of two people who may be all wrong for each other "on paper" but connect with one another in such a sweet way. Very touching. There is a cliffhanger and I can't wait to see what happens next!

Not a Standalone

Brody and Reese's story is entertaining, fun, and entrancing. The only reason I didn't give five stars is the cliffhanger. I love long novels that encase the entire story.

I did not care for the writing style. The inner voice of each character popping every paragraph or so drags you out of the whole thing. I just couldn't get in to it at all. #flounced

This first book starts off slow, but gets better with each book in the searching for love series.
