James promised the perfect Christmas escape—a secluded family cabin, fresh powder, and a few days away from everything. No Wi-Fi. No cell service. No distractions.
Then something falls down the chimney.
By the time they realize what it is, the storm has already sealed them in. The police can't reach them until morning. Maybe not even then.
As the snow piles higher and the hours crawl by, the four friends begin to unravel and so does everything they thought they knew about each other.
Because someone in this cabin isn't who they say they are.
And whatever fell down the chimney is only the beginning.
Snowbound is a claustrophobic winter thriller about what happens when there's nowhere left to run—and no one left to trust.
This book is a 30k word novella and not a full length novel.
Another really good thriller from Nadija Mujagic and it's fairly short so makes for a brisk read! Good characters, claustrophobic setting and that cover is gorgeous!
Thank you to Nadija Mujagic for an advanced copy of this title. A snowed-in thriller is one of my favorite setups, so I was happy to settle into Snowbound. I love the tension that comes with being cut off from the outside world, especially when everyone has secrets and I can’t quite figure out who to trust. The story is told through multiple POVs in the present with a few brief flashbacks. The pacing was moderate for a short thriller, but the short chapters kept me engaged, and I liked how each new revelation added another piece to the puzzle. I found the twists to be unique and interesting, and I loved how everything came together. The final chapter was a particular highlight because it added a new layer to the story and made me appreciate everything that came before it even more. If you like snowed-in thrillers, isolated settings, and twists that make the whole story come together, then you will enjoy this book.

SNOWBOUND BY NADIJA MUJAGIC A Winter Thriller 5 ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨s Release date set for the 10th of November 2026. Another brilliant book by Nadija. I loved the setting surrounding the book and really great characters. This book kept me guessing till the very end. Brilliant. Highly recommend this Winter Thriller to any Thriller lover
Thank you to Nadija Mujagic for providing me with an advance copy of Snowbound in exchange for my honest review.
Give me a remote setting, a winter storm, and a group of people with secrets, and I’m immediately interested! I’m always drawn to thrillers where the characters are trapped with nowhere to go and no easy way to get help. There’s something about that kind of atmosphere that makes me want to keep reading and figure out what’s really going on.
What I enjoyed most about this book was trying to piece together the mystery as the story unfolded. With different perspectives and glimpses into the past, I was given just enough information to keep me curious without having all the answers right away. Although the pacing wasn’t quite as fast as I typically prefer, the shorter chapters helped maintain my interest, and I enjoyed discovering how the different pieces fit together.
The surprises were another plus for me. I appreciated that the twists felt different from what I usually encounter in thrillers, and watching everything connect was satisfying. The ending was especially memorable because the final chapter added something extra that made me look at the entire story a little differently.
If you’re like me and love a good isolated setting where secrets, suspicion, and unexpected revelations keep things interesting, Snowbound might be a great choice for your next thriller read!
Snowbound by Nadija Mujagic 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A suspenseful, gripping, twisty and exciting story all perfectly rolled up into this thrilling novella!! James and Kayla decide to go to James’ uncles cabin and invite another couple, Timothy and Tracy, to join them. The plan is to have a fun ski weekend. Unfortunately bad weather has put a halt to their plans and they are stuck in the cabin, snowed in. The group gets a shocking surprise when something falls down from inside the chimney. They are trapped inside the cabin, with no way to seek help.
I love that the story has multiple timelines and multiple POV’s. This is a very intense and detailed story, and for being shorter, it felt complete and thorough. The twists, turns, and suspense in this book are excellent! I couldn’t read it fast enough!! My body was tensed up from beginning to end!
I was lucky to be a beta reader for Nadija on this book. She’s a must read author for me and I’m always so excited when a new book comes out!!

ARC from Nadija Mujagic, releases November 10th! This was the perfect fast paced, fun, quick read to start us into the chilly winter months. 4 friends, 1 cabin, 1 dead body and snowed in. James and Kayla invite Tim and Tricia to a cabin owned by the Uncle of James, who is not around, when all of a sudden a body appears from the chimney. Who is responsible and how do you survive. This was a twist, even if you could guess one of the twists, it still doesn't leave you disappointed. Nadija is quickly be coming one of my favorite authors and you do not want to miss this one!
What a perfect winter thriller for this time of year!!! Friends go to a cabin in the snow, ready to ski for Christmas. No wi-fi, no cell service and no distractions. Right?? Then something falls down the chimney. They’re now stuck in this cabin, and one of them is a liar and maybe worse!!
I could not put this down, and got mad when I had to stop reading for real life chores to get done. Filled with lots of tension, I love the locked in theme. Also, I didn’t expect the twist!!!
This was a great novella (short story for those that don’t know) by Nadija, just in time for us to start heading into New England winters.
2 couples go to stay at one friends uncles cabin in the woods, their plan is to go skiiing. There was so much snow that they couldn’t even get out. Then, the unthinkable happens. A body falls out the chimney. Can you imagine? Anyways, there had been a bunch of missing girls in this area too. Everyone is suspicious of each other, but who could it be?
A fast-paced, gripping ingenious, and propulsive perfect thriller. The author created a meticulously detailed plot, unpredictable suspenseful ride that keeps you guessing until the very end. I was hooked from beginning to end, everything you could want in a thriller. My favorite is the snowstorm, isolation and characters that have many secrets. The unexpected twist that built so much tension makes this book a memorable thriller.
Such a thrilling story! It’s a real whodunnit and everyone is a suspect at one point! 4 friends spend Christmas at one of their Uncles cabin and almost immeadiately things go wrong! Something falls out of the fireplace and no one is happy about it. The snow is falling at a crazy pace and they are trapped in the cabin waiting to see what will happen next. It’s a quick read but it’s nail biter!
“Snowbound” by Nadija Mujagic was a GREAT Christmas thriller! It’s intense, suspenseful, and had me on the edge of my seat the entire time! There’s a growing sense of dread throughout, and you never know who to trust. The tension kept building, and I couldn’t put it down! Another fantastic thriller by Nadija Mujagic!
This is a solid winter thriller novella with plenty of suspense and twists! Four college students head to a cabin during a blizzard, where, on Day 1, a dead body comes tumbling down the chimney. How did it get there? It’s a really cool mystery with plenty to keep you guessing!
What would you do if you were snowed in at a location unfamiliar to you & dead bodies just start dropping? This thriller had me on my toes & playing guess who all the way til the end! Short story, fast paced winter thriller for the win! 💜
A short, intense thriller that truly packs a punch! It kept me on the edge of my seat and holding my breath and even gasping out loud at times. I loved it! This author had quickly become one of my favorites and is an automatic read.
I received an ARC of this book. Nadija does it again with a quick paced read that is so fun to read and be nervous and anxious at the same time. Four friends go on a trip but will four friends make it home?
This one is a wild ride! The suspense, twists, and chilling atmosphere keep you hooked and questioning everything. An intense thriller full of surprises!
Good, fast paced thriller that will keep you guessing. The suspense builds right from the first page! If you think you have it figured out, think again.
