THE JUST BREATHE SERIES is being revised, re-edited and will have new covers in 2022!

There’s an irresistibly sexy man in my life who came out of nowhere and somehow has stuck to me.  I’m not complaining — I just never saw my life happening like this.  My life has changed completely from almost a year ago — something I vowed would never happen, and yet, it has.  I’ve broken my rules, all of them because of him.

Our relationship is forced out into the public — something I'm not sure I'm ready for at all. There are many things that make me uncomfortable, mainly because I've never had a boyfriend before. Certain things arise in my life, complicating it even more, testing me in so many ways all while having to face the demons of my past.

What do you say to someone who says they love you when you still don't understand your own emotions?

Will Emma break through life's obstacles and allow herself to love and be loved?

This book is not a standalone and is meant to be read after reading the first and second books (Breathe In & Breathe Out) of the Just Breathe series.

Please note: There are sexually explicit scenes F/M and F/F/M

Martha Sweeney

After the age of thirty, Martha realized that her life as a terran was not what it was cracked up to be. Knowing that there was more to life, she embarked on a journey that has tested her resolve, heart, and soul many times over. It continues to do so at this very moment.

She’s astounded that anyone takes any author bio seriously. Why would anything that’s written here be believed when authors are known to invent stuff out of thin air? Martha likes to thank the ether and her higher-self for the enlightenment and odd sense of wonderment about life, the universe, and what exactly she was thinking when she wrote that one obscure story that no one has yet to read, but her husband has heard about.

The oddity of society, particularly the book community has flabbergasted her, making her curious about how a em-dash or ellipses can make people think that AI had any hand in aiding an author to write. She could be sharing complete truths, complete lies, or a mixture in this very bio as you continue to read this. Why are you still reading this, she asks in your ear as if she’s sitting right next to you, right now? Does anyone really care if she’s telling the truth, I mean, come on, she’s an author for God sake? Books are written to pull you from reality with fantasy, though there is much of reality in books to some extent. Where was she going with this thought? I don’t know, don’t remember, so let us continue. What were we discussing? Oh, right, Martha Sweeney’s author bio.

She would like to sum up with this single thought: believe what you want about anything, even her. Beliefs are just thoughts you keep thinking. Whether you think you’re wrong or right, you’re right either way, so why should she care what’s written in her bio because we both know you just want a story that makes you feel. That’s the purpose of books or any form of entertainment. It’s to feel something. She hopes your emotions are kicked in the ass one way or another. If you like a character, she’s content. If you hate a character, she’s content. All in all, she made you feel.

If you’re still reading this, Martha is quite impressed and is giving you an astral projected hug and hopes to meet you in person one day, or not. According to Martha, we’ve already meet if you understand entanglement.

If you are literally thinking, or saying out loud WTF?, Martha wants you to know that very same thought has entered her mind at least twenty times while dictating to me what to write. Whom am I, you ask, that’s not important. My roll is simply to write Martha’s author bio and let you know that she’s a multi-genre author, so there’s a chance you might be interested and like at least one of her currently published books. Enjoy, or not, that’s up to you.

I'm so excited to present the final installment of the Just Breathe series to you, the reader. This has been a wonderful journey, full of ups and downs for me and the characters. There were moments where I wouldn't want to write or edit, not wanting the story to end. However, I knew that Emma's journey must be shared.

Thank you to each and every one of you for reading this series, or even a part of it - regardless if you liked it or not. There are hidden messages and ideas between the pages that are there to push some of you beyond your comfort zone and to make you think and feel. I hope that you've considered your own views and thoughts about life and what you may want to change or keep the same.

If you have any questions about the series, feel free to reach out.

I'm currently working to a particular book that will be released later this year and there are many more in my head shouting at me to be written.

Thank you for reading!

I'm gonna miss Emma & Joe!! This book was the perfect end to a lovely series. The growth of Emma through this final book is exactly what I needed, and suprised me how seamlessly Martha blended the abundance of things that took place in this book. I love Joe and his unwavering love for Emma. He's too perfect for words. Even the side characters were incredibly well developed. I don't think I can say a bad thing about this series. I look forward anything else Martha ever plans to release, because she has a lifelong friend, fan, & Kitten in me! I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves a good romance, you will not be disappointed!

This book picks up right where book 2, Breathe Out, left off. Breathe Out ended with an intense cliffhanger and I was dying to know what happened. There were some unique concepts introduced through the story and I absolutely loved the plot twist!! I didn't know I wanted the story to go the way it did until it hit me unexpectedly.
I loved watching the character developments of not only Joe and Emma, but also their friends and family. I could feel their love and loyalty towards one another through out the pages, which is something Martha never failed to be able to do in any of her books. I felt like a proud parent whenever they achieved something, either in their personal lives or their professional ones.
The only reason I didn't give this more than 4 stars was because of Emma. I did not enjoy her antics as much in this book. They always rubbed me the wrong way and I just wanted to get violent with her more than I wanted to get affectionate. I grew tired of her threats and the dialogue was super repetitive. I would've liked for them to get to the point instead of evading so much. I also felt like everybody was a little TOO interested in their relationship; it felt like that was all they talked about.
My fours stars are strictly for the perfection that is Joe! He made me cry so much and his happiness made me happy. He's incredibly patient; I know I would have NEVER been half as patient with Emma. He made me so proud and the ending was super satisfying. I am more than happy with how Martha tied loose ends and it left me smiling like a lunatic. I am already missing Joe so much!

Just Breathe is the final installment and namesake of the Just Breathe Series by Martha Sweeney including in order; Breathe In, Breathe Out and Just Breathe. The stories introduce the reader to Emma Peterson and her friends and adopted family. Emma was orphaned at the age of sixteen, but we join her story during her twenty-fourth year of life. Since that tragedy, Ms. Peterson has managed to escape the confines of New Jersey to land in Southern California, build a new family of her own and a successful online business that has made her independently wealthy. Her wealth is focused on her new family and friends in an effort to protect them and herself from her darkest fears. Emma’s controlling nature and dark secrets manifest in nightmares that physically rack her body and obsessive behaviors that test her friends’ love and patience. The first book in the series, Breathe In, lures the reader in with an explanation of Emma’s Eight Golden Rules for dating men. These rules are an extension of her controlling nature and fear. She holds tight to the rules in an effort to keep herself safe from the pain of loss, until Joe Covelli comes along. Joe manages to cling to Emma longer than any other man before and persists in patiently convincing Ms. Peterson to break each of her rules.

Breathe Out explores Emma’s struggle with this uncontrollable desire for Joe Covelli and her experimentation with the development of any kind of lasting relationship with a male partner. By convincing herself that it’s just good fun, she’s able to rationalize all the boundaries Joe Covelli manages to break through.

Just Breathe brings the series to a close with a huge explosion of excitement, character development, drama, intensity and depth that combines to provide the perfect conclusion for an amazingly well written story. Emma finally succumbs completely to Joe’s charisma, longing and deep love for her while growing beyond her wildest expectations. With Joe, and her friends’ help, Emma Peterson finally faces her demons fully and moves forward with her own life.

While Emma and Joe are the main subjects of Martha Sweeney’s tale, the supporting cast is just as intriguing. Maggie, Henry, Jared and Nathan provide the stable foundation for Emma and Joe to build their new relationship and new family on. There are many more vital characters throughout all three books, but Emma’s closest core play the largest part in bringing Joe and Emma together at long last. Each of these supporting actors have real depth and clarity of personality. They come to life vibrantly and make the entire drama much more realistic and believable. Martha has the uncanny ability to describe the subtle human nuances of very different character traits without ever lifting the veil of fantasy. Tying all these complex, interwoven motives and human desires so seamlessly together is nothing short of literary brilliance.

Closing out Emma and Joe’s story with Just Breathe is a bitter sweet final chapter. All the surprises, excitement, tension, explosive release and human drama that Martha Sweeney manages to capture in these books has caused me to feel intimately woven into the characters’ stories and lives. They’ve become very real to me and I don’t want their stories to end. It’s far too beautiful to leave behind. Real and lasting growth takes time. Real and meaningful love takes commitment. Just Breathe finally realizes that growth and love for all Martha’s characters. Emma, Joe, Maggie, Henry, Jared and Nathan have taken up permanent residence in my heart thanks to Martha Sweeney’s extraordinary ability to write. My life is much richer with this wonderful example of life and love.

If you want instant love, instant lust between the hero and heroine, alpha hero, weak heroine, fucked up pasts, and a plot that basically involves 90% fucking, this book/trilogy is not for you.

Just Breathe is the final book in the Just Breathe trilogy by Martha Sweeney. And OMG, what a stunning conclusion to Joe and Emma's love story! It picked up right after Breathe Out (Book 2) ended but with so much more unforgettable moments with one of my favorite couples.

Emma Peterson's life was perfect. She had steady and growing businesses that she successfully built from what her parents left of her when they died, she had a great set of friends that she treated more like her own family. She had a pretty private life that did a 180 degree turn when a hot blue-eyed man in the name of Joe Covelli came unexpectedly in her life. She did not expect that she would be breaking all her rules because of Joe. But then, is she ready to accept that Joe's in for the long haul? Or her fears of being in a relationship, her demons in the past would keep her from the only man who means everything?

Joseph "Joe" Covelli. I love this man so freaking much! He is the perfect example of a balanced man. He's an alpha without being overbearing, dirty talker yet so gentle when he has to, so very sweet without being too cheesy/too cringe-worthy. He eased in to Emma's life like a puzzle piece that fits the whole thing perfectly. They've been through a lot already, breaking all Emma's rules even. It's been a really smooth ride with their friends and families, businesses and financials included. He was comfortable that he could protect Emma with his love. Until she left and things started to be at another level of confusing for him.

I love how each small step of progress to Emma and Joe's love story lead to their HEA. It was like revealing beautiful layers of their personalities that were hidden and were only meant to be shown if it's well taken care of. Like a seed that needs the water, sun and air to grow healthily. It's definitely not a slowly but surely process but there's the certainty of Joe and Emma both trying their hardest to make their relationship strong. And I think it's so beautiful that these couple isn't the over-the-top clingy/cheesy but still maintained the heartfelt love they have for each other.

Just Breathe is an interesting mix of well-developed characters (Emma is the absolute example of this), non-cheesy but still romantic romance, and unusual but beautiful storyline that will surely hold your attention. It was woven together by the strengths and flaws of the characters, the memories of the past (from books 1 and 2) and the clarity of their future. This trilogy has become one of those that are so close to my heart because it was wrapped so beautifully rooted with deep emotions and courage. Martha has also created the characters I will always love and look up to. Because to me, they're not just characters. They are my spirit animals. My own brand of kickass. Good job, Martha!

I can't find words to tell people how amazing this trilogy is, but it's even harder to explain how beautifully the author wrapped up the ending. From the first page to the last of the epilogue I was so entrapped in this world. Joe and Emma continue to maintain a healthy and inspiring romance and relationship that blooms into a full blown Un-breakable bond of love. The hope in this book is contagious and there is so much message about love and all its shades.

Martha Sweeney like in the first two books doesn't just pull you into a good love affair, she paints you a heartwarming "book family" with faces and hearts that echo in your mind way past the end.

I'm so proud of her main character Emma, who just continued to grow herself into greatness. Her lover and her family were like maps on her journey to self love and happiness but she was the one taking the major steps on her own. She's a strong and radiant character with survivors resolve and purpose. She is everything I still desire to be and I looked up to her in that way. I love her spirit! This author wrote a character with true spirit and breath. Emma is the icon of a true woman and all a women should be; Real, funny, confident, loving, gentle, gaurded, open, and supportive.

Joe is everything men of a good heart are! He's secure, honest, kind, considerate, paitent and enduring. I loved falling in love with him; he made it easy! To finally read about a man so uninhibited that he had no limits to his commitment was glorious!

This is a book about love, family, relationships, and what it takes to build them. It's about bonds and the true romance that comes with trust and communication. I will re-read this trilogy many times over and I intend to fan girl hard! Five stars isn't enough! I will definitely read more from this author and her bestselling work!

Just Breathe by Martha Sweeney is the last installment in this hot, sexy, yet highly addictive series. Readers will be instantly hooked when they open up this read. Emma and Joe are the perfect couple. Joe knows Emma is the one and is willing do anything to get her to accept that they are indeed a couple. He wants it to be known in public to their friends and anyone else. However, Emma is just not used to having a man she loves wanting to go the extra mile for her. Joe is the man that can make any woman swoon on sight. Plus, his caring ways with Emma makes readers fall even harder for the hot irresistible man. Emma like every woman has her own insecurities...she's tough, smart, and sexy....but when it comes to defining her relationship with Joe in stronger terms, she's a bit hesitant at the new changes. Martha Sweeney has beautifully woven a story worth reading. A story full of passion, heat, and fun. Readers won't find another hot read that compares to Martha's Just Breathe series. Martha Sweeney's characters are charming and her plot is just as exciting. I feel in love with each novel. Just Breathe was the most stunning one in the collection. It was a wonderful way to end this intriguing romantic series. Overall, I highly recommend Just Breathe to readers worldwide.

I'm dying right now from JOY and HAPPINESS!!! The things that Emma went through, the growth that she had and the relationships with everyone in her life were so real and heartwarming. A TRUE Love Story....one that takes time, patience and ultimately LOVE. A story that shared a slow gradual love between two people and even for oneself!

This book not only pushes sexual, societal and cultural boundaries, but makes it all so realistic and beautiful. This is not your typical romance book, and I LOVE it because of that. An alpha male and an alpha female coming together with such beauty!

Oh, the different feels that I had reading this! I can't believe the story is over, but yet, it finished perfectly!!!!

Oh how I have loved Joe Covelli since the very beginning! BUT... after this... I am utterly obsessed with him. He is everything any woman would dream of. In Just Breathe we get to see the more "Alpha" side of Joe, and it is pure perfection! This book is so incredibly sexy... yes, there were a few times I could have smacked Emma for being SO DAMN stubborn (Hehe), but it is who she is. She knows what she wants and she likes to keep her guard up to protect herself. She finally begins to completely let her walls down with Joe, and she lets him in. I am sad this is the end.. but it ended PERFECTLY!!

The story of Emma and Joe was a beautiful, well written and well thought out love story. There were many times I found myself frustrated with Emma, but the story was so well written that I couldn't put it down. Great job Martha!!!

Perfection

The term perfection broadly means 'a state of completeness and flawlessness' and that is exactly what this book is. I finished this book a few days ago but wanted a little time to digest it all before I wrote a review. Over the last few days I have found myself thinking about the book over and over while doing various acts, for example cooking, at work, watching tv etc and surely that is the sign of a great well written book the fact that you keep thinking about it after you have finished reading it. Just breathe is without a doubt my favourite of the series and way the story comes together and flows is testament to just what a great writer Martha Sweeney is. I loved the fact that throughout the series Martha has brought in 'external' factors for you to think about. For example Emma's dog and the breed and how it is trained, completely goes against what people expect of that breed! Various cultures and diversity of our society today and how it can be an extended family if we aren't so narrow minded and judgemental. The Tapping process to help with dealing with a difficult situation. And then obviously there are the main characters Emma has shown that with hard work and brains and determination even strong independent beautiful women can succeeded In business and a gorgeous fit alpha male doesn't have to be all domineering and throwing his weight around to get a woman to fall in love with him! However the relationship between Joe and Emma is hot hot hot and that adds to the mechanics of the book. I hope I have successfully got across what a fantastically diverse and well written book this is I'm not the best at putting down in print what I'm thinking in my mind, that's why I'm not the writer and that's why Martha Sweeney is! I can't wait to see what else is to come from Martha cos the just breathe series is going to be a tuff act to follow it simply is just perfect!!

Original review @ http://sandrathebookworm.blogspot.com...

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This was a great ending to an amazing trilogy! Just Breathe begins right where Breathe Out left off and boy, I’m glad it did since Martha left us with a huge cliff hanger in the ending of the last book. I loved how everything came together for all the characters I have grown to love. I will always love Martha's writing it is so detailed that I feel that if I ever went to Pasadena, CA I would run into Joe and Emma and all of their family and believe me I wouldn't mind running into Joe; that man is amazing and the way he treats Emma is just so perfect, the man is just perfect and everyone deserves to find their Joe Covelli. Emma went through a lot of character development in this book and I really enjoyed it; she has opened up so much and has come such a long way since we met her in Breathe In. The twist that Martha hit me with was absolute perfection it made my heart warm and I was so happy to see the story take the direction it did. The only thing that did bother me a little was how much Joe's and Emma's families were involved in their relationship it was just too overwhelming at times and if I were them I would have told them to just let us breathe a little, other than that this trilogy was a great romance with some steamy scenes that will NOT disappoint. If you have yet to pick this trilogy up and are looking for a good romance look no further.

I don't want to give away anything. So this is spolier free because I want you to read this the 3rd book in the Just Breathe Trilogy # 3.
Joe and Emma make me believe in love again. Joe fights for his woman. His love for her is so beautiful. I kept wishing this was real life the entire time I was reading it. Im very please with how Martha Sweeney developed and end the story line. The characters have been through a great deal and have survived it all.
Reading this will make you fall in love and never want to let go of Joe and Emma.

Can I just mention the cover of this book is HOT!! Who ever the model is added great visual effect to my idea of what Joe looks like.
Martha thank you for this crazy heart wrentching love store. I think Joe and Emma are my modern day verson of Romeo and Juliet...

Mrs. Sweeney, let me tell you this… YOU’RE MY HEROINE!
I hate trilogies, but when I read the synopsis I knew I wanted to read all books. At first I was like “ugh, this is so boring,” but then I couldn’t stop reading.
The only thing I didn’t liked was Maggie. I hated her and I even don’t know why. Lol~
Joe Covelli?! OH-MY-GOODNESS!! (I will not say nothing more).
It’s an amazing story!

This series overall I loved. From start to finish you felt for all of the people in the story. And a very sweet happy ending. Still had some editing issues but this book out of the 3 was much better.
